What's this you say? YES! Shadow Falling has returned to the boards! This exclusive directors cut comes directly from Morgoth's very old computer.
Now with added scenes, improved HD graphics and sound, including the over the top voice of Naga Sadow! Miss this at your peril!
This epic fic will be posted in it's entire existing form.
Lol. In all seriousness. Just thought I'd repost this as it seemed so popular in the past. Enjoy!
Morgoth_The_Enemy proudly presents...
SHADOW FALLING
Darkness shrouded her vision. Mists and vapours poured upwards at her from the floor as she groped about blindly in the nothingness that seemed to exist.
Green eyes scanned the horizon searching for something, anything, to take her away from the emptiness she was entrapped in.
A dark whispering laughter floated out of the darkness, assailing her ears with its sounds…
“Who’s there!? Show yourself!” she shouted. The laughter continued as her only reply “Stop it!” she screamed, covering her ears to block out the sound, but to no avail.
As abruptly as the laughter had begun, it stopped. The whole world seemed to swirl before her as a deep raspy breathing emanated from out of the darkness. The blackness before her coalesced into a single being…
“Only I exist now” the darkness said and stepped forward, revealing itself in the most feared form the galaxy had known, the Dark knight.
Terror threatened to overcome her but she mustered her strength and drew her lightsaber to her…
”There is no death there is only the force…a Jedi knows no fear…there is no death
…” she breathed inwardly to herself as the Sith swung his blood red lightsaber in a wide arc, attempting to catch her off guard. Her own blue blade connected with his as she deflected the move with a flick of her wrist. The air hummed with the promise of death, then the Dark knight swung downwards with as much force as he could muster... and missed completely. “Now is my chance!” she thought, sidestepping the blow and bringing her blade upwards, decapitated the nightmarish entity.
The Sith fell backwards and the helmet fell open as she stepped towards it revealing a very familiar face to her…
ANAKIN! Tahiri screamed as she sat bolt upright in bed, soaked with sweat. Taking a glance at the chrono timepiece she swore under her breath and got out of bed to use the fresher, rubbing the three scars on her forehead. ”It was only a nightmare. A silly dream" Tahiri thought to herself as she walked. “But Anakin told me before...Jedi don’t dream...”
Meanwhile, on the recently reclaimed galactic capitol of Coruscant...
“So, when does Tahiri get in?” asked Mara Jade Skywalker, glancing at her husband as he fed their son Ben.
“Soon. The ship from Sekot should be arriving any day now. The remembrance ceremony is in a week you know…” Luke replied before making a face as Ben missed the spoon altogether, causing his food to land square in his fathers lap “At times like this, Mara…he’s YOUR son”. Mara smiled as her son waved his chubby hands in the air in front of his fathers face. “Maybe Jaina will babysit for us when she gets in?” mused Luke. “I don’t think so dear, she will far more likely want to spend time with Jag and her brother than babysit this little monster” Mara said with a smile on her face as Luke handed Ben over. In his mothers arms, Ben sat perfectly still and ate his food without fussing…”You know, I think sometimes, the force is trying to punish me” Luke sighed before getting up to clean himself off.
"I wonder if any progress has been made in finding the widowmaker?, I’m sure Tahiri would have contacted us before now if there was any news." Luke mused as he wiped the remnants of Bens missed food off his shirt with a cloth. "I wonder how the Vong are settling in on Sekot." Luke smiled wryly at his wife’s remark "If Tahiri or Jacen were here they’d have corrected you already, dear."
Mara smiled, shaking her head and making a face at her son who had began weaving his hands into his mother’s hair to get her attention. "I hope this goes well, it won’t be easy for a lot of us. The war took everything from someone, most of all from Han and Leia, this Remembrance Day is going to open a few old wounds, Skywalker and it may rub salt into ones that have only begun to heal". Luke nodded at his wife’s sagely statement before joining her and Ben at the table.
Far away from Coruscant, near the Tingel arm of the galaxy on board a familiar looking starship...
"What is thy bidding, my master" a reedy, yet unmistakeably female voice uttered, whilst kneeling in front of an orb seated on a multi-layered pedestal. Darkness itself seemed to swirl within its depths and soon a dark, hooded visage cam into being. A feeling of utter Malice and fear entered the room as the image in the orb took on a more defined form. The figure kneeling made no poise to ask her master yet again in fear of incurring his wrath. The figure in the orb gazed at its disciple before speaking directly into her mind
" GO TO CORUSCANT. THE TIME HAS COME AT LAST. THE FOOLISH JEDI WILL FINALLY KNOW THE TRUE POWER OF THE DARKSIDE AND OF THOSE WHO WIELD IT. KILL ALL PRESENT AT THE CEREMONY. TAKE THE STRONGEST CHILDREN ALIVE. THEY WILL BE USEFUL TO US IN THE FUTURE...I HAVE FORSEEN IT. TAKE MY NEWEST DISCIPLE WITH YOU. WE NEED TO TEST HIS SKILLS."
The kneeling apprentice showed no emotion on her face of the orders she had been given, her masters will was absolute.
"BE SURE TO DESTROY YOUR COUNTERPART MY APPRENTICE, SHE KNOWS YOU FAR TOO WELL...RIINA KWAAD"
Riina stood at her masters behest, sensing his will that she leave as soon as possible. The living cloak that she wore flowed around her as she tensed, pulling her weapons to her with the force. A strangely shaped length of Yorik coral flew to her as well as a coiled amphistaff. Her cloak opened itself in various places to allow the weapons protection and seclusion inside itself.
The orb had returned to its pure black state when Riina was done preparing herself. A deep laboured breathing emanated from the shadows of the room. Riina didn’t look up, she already knew who it was as he revealed himself. "What news from beyond the galaxy? What does our master command?" Riina looked up for the first time at the black deaths head mask. "We have work to do" she replied, an evil smirk twisting her chevroned lips, the cuts giving her smile that of a demon. “We shall reveal ourselves to the Jeedai fools once more. They shall once again tremble at the true might of the Sith." Riina swerved on her heel and turned, exiting the room as the form of the dark knight followed her towards the hangar...

PART TWO
Meanwhile, on Zonama Sekot…
Tahiri's blue blade hummed as she swung it in rapid motions, deflecting the shots that came from the practice remote as she ran through her memorized routine of katas. Tahiri turned on her heel, her back to the remote, as it fired, she force vaulted upwards and over the remote, slicing it in two as her feet touched the ground.
“That’s the third remote you’ve diced this week. Is something wrong?” asked the lithe blond scientist, Danni Quee.
“Nothing that a few good hours of sleep wouldn’t cure.” Tahiri replied, smiling tiredly. “I keep having the same dream…Anakin is always present.” Danni looked down at the ground , trying to hide the smile forming on her face. Tahiri turned beet red as she realised the implication Danni was making…” They aren’t` THOSE kinds of dreams!” Tahiri paused as she switched off her lightsaber and attached it to her belt. “The dreams I have are terrifying. I...end up killing Anakin. Then I wake up screaming.”
Danni looked sympathetically at Tahiri, thinking her words over in her head before speaking. “Perhaps they are remnants of what happened on Myrkr. Perhaps your personality hasn’t fully integrated itself yet and the dreams are the result.” Danni handed Tahiri a small face towel before opening the door to leave. “When we get to Coruscant, you can talk to master Skywalker. I` sure he’ll know what to do. On that point, you should get ready to go. We leave in an hour.” Tahiri nodded as Danni turned to leave “Thank you Danni. I’ll be along to the ship soon.”
“Hey! Watch where your throwing those bags kid!” Han Solo shouted to his eldest son as Jacen threw a large bag to his father, who wasn’t yet ready. “Sorry dad, it’s hard to see in front of you when there’s a giant bag in your face” Jacen replied from atop the rebuilt Millennium Falcon. “Well, use the force then! I’m sure it isn’t going to mind you using it to tell where your going or who your throwing stuff to!” Jacen smiled and shook his head at his father before looking to the small door that lead into the hangar they had landed in.
“Took you long enough to get here kid!” Han shouted at Luke as he entered the hangar bay, resplendent in new Jedi robes. “Did I miss the ceremony already?”
Luke looked at Han tiredly, “Mara made me try on fifteen different robes before she decided on this one! I said I was going to be late to meet you so she let me keep it on instead of getting changed! I’m a dead Jedi Master if I get it dirty.” Han laughed at his friend as Jacen jumped down from on top of the Falcon. Han scowled at his sons antics “Jacen, for the hundredth time, there’s a ramp provided!” Luke laughed as Jacen looked at his father sheepishly.
“Hello Jacen, you’re looking well. I see the Falcon is finally fixed…it looks good.” Han nodded as he took yet another heavy bag. “It handles just like the old one though, Uncle Luke. Where’s Ben?” Luke rolled his eyes in a `thank the force he isn’t here type of way`, “With Mara. They’re waiting back at the house for us.”
“Then we should go there right now” Leia said as she stepped out of the Falcon, walking down the ramp. “I can’t wait to see how much my nephew has grown.” Luke looked up at his sister as she left the ramp. “Hello Leia. Isn’t Jaina with you? I Thought that she was going to meet you guys on Hapes and come in with you.” Leias eyes glazed over with sadness “She wanted to spend a little more time at his memorial before coming. Tenel Ka said that Jaina was more than welcome to come along with her so we left her there.” Luke nodded in understanding.
“Everyone should be here by the end of the week. Just in time for the ceremony. Come on, you wanted to see how much Ben has grown.” Han took his wife’s hand as she followed her brother out of the hangar. Han called back to Jacen “Get the bags will ya kid?” Jacen stared at the pile of luggage that had been dumped on the hangar floor. Sighing, he reached out to them in the force and lifted them onto a nearby pulling cart. “Do I get paid for this!?” he called as his father walked through the door…
Elsewhere…
In the cold unfeeling reaches of space, something colder and far more devoid of feeling reached out in the dark side of the force…to the moon surrounding a small planet. Under the sway of the power of the force, the core of the moon began to slowly crack. On the surface, a clearly darkside palace had been hued into the rock of a cliff face, unaware of the doom hanging from the stars above.
“Something is moving in the galaxy…I can sense it!” Lumiya, self professed Dark Lord of the Sith proclaimed. “yes my mistress” a meek servant, `liberated` from a slave trader and now subservient to her new master answered. “I must discover what this cloud I sense moving within the force is. I must know its plan and whether or not I can use it to further my own ends.” Lumiya declared before smiling darkly and sitting back down into her throne.
”I AM AFRAID THAT I CANNOT PERMIT THAT, CHILD. YOUR PETTY PLANS WOULD INTERFERE WITH MY OWN!... MY WILL IS ABSOLUTE! I WILL NOT BE DENIED VICTORY AGAIN!
” the dark thing spoke to itself. With a thought, the moon held in its power shattered. The chunks of rock that the moon had become were held hovering over the planet they threatened to fall upon.
FAREWELL, LUMIYA
the darkness spoke directly into her mind. The Sith lady had barely time to think about who might be talking to her in such a manner and how before the remnants of the moon were hurled earthward by the force with such velocity it would have made proton torpedoes look like they were standing still. Lumiya`s palace erupted in fire as the first small chunk, the size of a childs ball crashed through the roof. The Sith lady screamed in fury and the knowledge that she was about to die as another chunk of rock descended directly on top of the cliff her palace had been built under. Rock exploded everywhere, pieces of glass and wood flew miles into the air.
From space, it looked like an extremely expensive fireworks show. Clouds of dust had been thrown up into the atmosphere from the impact and the light from the surface was being reflected on it. In a matter of seconds, all that remained of Lumiya and her small palace was a five mile crater. The rest of the planet didn’t fare so well either as the crust cracked from the impact of its own moon. Seas boiled as lava escaped, tidal waves crashed against shores, turning beaches into lakes and earthquakes wracked the land. The darkness smiled at its own handiwork before returning to its military headquarters aboard the stolen Widowmaker.
Riina Kwaads` head shot up from meditation aboard the small vessel. She smiled wickedly at the dark figure piloting the ship “He has achieved one of his objectives today. We will take care of another before the week is out, wont we Vader? We will not fail our master. The Jeedai shall fall…

PART THREE
...In the Skywalkers home on Coruscant, Ben gurgled happily in the arms of his aunt, Leia. “You’ve grown up fast haven’t you Ben?” cooed Leia at the gurgling infant. Bens response was to grab his aunts sleeve and attempt to make it a part of his next meal. Leia laughed in response and tried tickling her nephew to get him to stop as Mara came back into the room. “Hungry is he?” Leia asked, holding up her wet sleeve, Mara shook her head in reply answering, “No, he probably just likes the attention, he had food a little while ago. Then he dropped some of it on Luke’s lap for fun.” Leia chuckled then smiled , the memory of holding her own children coming to the surface. “If you think that this ceremony will be too hard, just say, you can stay here.” Mara said as Leia set Ben down on the floor so that he could play with his blocks. Leias’s face took on the stony settlement of a politicians as she answered Mara. “I’m going no matter what. I would not dishonour the memory of my son and those who died simply because it may be hurtful to me. I told Han as much already.” Mara smiled and nodded at Leia`s statement. “Tea?” she asked. Leia nodded wearily though a small smile crept onto her face.
“This will not be an easy day, for any of us Han. There are those out there who cannot forgive the atrocities committed in the war.” Luke Skywalker said as he sat with his friend on the veranda. Han seemed puzzled; “Your saying they should? Look, kid, I don’t want to start no conversation up about the war just yet. There’ll be plenty of time for that at the ceremony and I don’t exactly feel like getting worked up just yet... So, just who is coming in tomorrow?” Luke smiled wryly, comprehending what Han had in mind and taking a sip of his drink,
“Well, Tahiri is, along with Danni and Tekli. That ought to keep Jacen occupied” Han smiled to himself both at Lukes’ comment on Jacen and also, since Anakins death, Tahiri had become almost like a daughter to him and Leia. “That’s good to hear, it’ll give us a chance to catch up before everything kicks off. How is she anyway?, she’s been on that planet with the Vong for near a year now.”
“Tahiri’s doing fine Han, she’s been getting to grips with everything that she’s been through, as far as I can tell from the messages she’s sent. Tahiri still hasn’t found the Widowmaker though.” Han smiled, glad to hear that Tahiri was doing okay.
“Jaina should be here tomorrow Luke and Tenel Ka with her. That ought to keep the boy on his toes!” Luke grinned, knowing full well that Han was referring to his son Jacen. “Keep who on their toes?” Jacen asked, walking in on his uncle and father’s conversation. “Now don’t give me that, kid. Don’t try to pull that `I have no idea what you mean` sithspit on me either, I know you have a soft spot for the girl.” Han said, grinning maliciously as his son began to turn red. “I…umm…err…need to get a drink!” Jacen exclaimed before making a hasty exit leaving his father and uncle in hysterics.
On the stolen Widowmaker in the deep reaches of space...
A lone figure sat, his hands suspended above him, chained to the wall. A substantial beard had grown on the figures face in the time he had spent locked away in the cell. Ysalimiri swung in cages far above, preventing the person from using the force to escape. The figure’s head jerked upwards as he heard footsteps, his ice blue eyes, showing no signs of his spirit being broken suddenly becoming alert as a guard, garbed in a black, living, Yuuzhan Vong version of an Imperial stormtroopers armour, stepped into the room carrying a strange object covered in a velvet cloth. “The master wishes to speak with you. A word of advice...make it easy on yourself, tell him everything that he wants to know, perhaps he will spare you any further pain.” The guard nodded at the prisoner, who began to stand up as a large black pedestal was brought in. The guard removed the cloth, revealing a strange orb that emanated a palpable evil. “YOU MAY LEAVE US NOW” the guard nodded at his masters command, thankful to be able to leave the room.
The darkness in the orb swirled and reformed the image that had been visible to Riina Kwaad. “ HOW ARE YOU TODAY?” the dark figure spoke into the prisoners head. Calmly, the figure replied to the image after drawing himself to his full height. “I was fine but now I’m beginning to think that this isn’t going to be such a good day after all.” A deep rumbling laughter emanated from the orb.
“DEFIANT STILL? HOW YOU AMUSE ME CHILD. I WOULD ASK YOU TO JOIN ME BUT...I ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOUR ANSWER WOULD BE.”
“I’ll never join you!, I will never be anything like you!” the prisoner shouted in confidence at the darkness.
“YES, YES I KNOW. DESPITE ALL THAT I’VE DONE FOR YOU, SAVING YOUR LIFE, TRYING TO HELP YOU COME TO TERMS WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, YOU STILL WILL NOT SERVE ME. AH WELL..... THE IMITATIONS, BY THE WAY...I’VE SENT THEM TO CORUSCANT. YOUR FRIENDS ARE DOOMED. YOU COUD SAVE THEM YOU KNOW... ALL YOU WOULD HAVE TO DO IS REACH OUT AND TAKE YOUR RIGHTFUL PLACE AT MY SIDE!”
the dark figures’ voice suddenly took on an even more menacing tone and the room seemed to fill with the darkside itself before gradually returning to some sort of normalcy.
“They will stop you. Those things that you’ve sent to kill them will fail and I will never give in to you!” The darkness laughed at the arrogance and defiance of its captive “
WHAT ABOUT THE GIRL? YOU KNOW OF WHOM I SPEAK. SHE WILL BE DESTROYED. THE NEW REPUBLIC SHALL FINALLY DIE…AS.WILL.YOUR.FRIENDS.
” The prisoners head dropped in a quick display of anguish before slowly rising, fire and almost hatred burning in his eyes.
“THAT’S RIGHT BOY…HATE ME! THAT’S ALL IT WILL TAKE”.
the dark being said, smiling. The prisoner drew deep breaths, calming himself before returning his gaze to the pedestal.
The prisoners eyes stared, unafraid into the very depths of the orb, now swirling once more with the blackness of the being communicating through it. “Who ARE you?” the prisoner asked, confused.
“ME? YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT BOY...I AM SITH, THE SITH TO BE MORE PRECISE. LONG DID I HOLD THIS GALAXY IN MY GRASP AND NOW I SHALL AGAIN!”
The prisoner stared blankly at the figure in the orb, “No, I meant your name. I need you to confirm who it is I am talking to.” The prisoner asked, sitting down on the floor.
“AH, SO YOU WISH TO KNOW THE TRUE FACE OF YOUR MASTER. VERY WELL THEN...THE JEDI KNOW ME AS”.....

PART FOUR
Two days later... on Coruscant, preparations for the ceremony were well under way...
“I’ve told you a thousand times Kid! That hall is going to be overcrowded with guests! There ain’t going to be place for us to move!” Luke chuckled at his friends disposition, “Alright Han, I’ll ask Leia what she thinks about having it out in the street, that way there’ll be space enough for everyone to move around and we can easily get the decorations from inside, out to the street.” Han shook his head, amazed that only now his friend had comprehended the true size that the remembrance ceremony would be. “You sure this is all going to go smoothly?” Luke smiled wryly, “Of course...I have foreseen it.” Han backed away from his fiend slightly in mock fear of Luke’s emperor impression. Leaving the street that the ceremony would take part on, Luke and Han walked slowly back to the Skywalker residence...
A lone figure stood at a gravestone marker, smiling slightly in remembrance of happy days gone past. Another figure approached from behind but went ignored…"I miss him too you know. We all do." Stated the Queen of Hapes. Jaina barely glanced over her shoulder at Tenel Ka before answering her friend. “I know, but that doesn’t take all the hurt and guilt away…does it? Deep down?.” Tenel Ka stared at her for a while, mulling over what to say. “That is a fact, friend Jaina. The hurt remains but we all go on and that is what your brother would have wanted. Come on, we will be late arriving on Coruscant.” Jaina nodded and smiled before walking towards the hangar bay with Tenel Ka. “Can I pilot?” Jaina asked as they went, to which the Queen of Hapes, jokingly, gave a very reluctant nod...
“Stop squirming Ben!” Mara cried as for the umpteenth time she tried to get Bens shirt on over his arms and head. Ben however was having none of this and was deciding to make his mothers life a living nightmare by shaking his head and waving his arms. Somehow, Mara couldn’t get mad at him really and this was probably due to the giggles and smiles Ben kept making. “Is he being a handful again?” Leia chuckled, watching the affair. Mara sighed in frustration, “Okay! That’s it! Officially give up trying to dress my own child!” Mara huffed an slumped down onto the Bed where she had been attempting to dress Ben. Taking the initiative, Ben crawled onto his mothers stomach and sat staring at her with an `is that all you’ve got?` look while chewing on his own fist. “Would you like to try, Leia? I’m too tired out to try again just yet.” Leia nodded and sat down next to Mara on the bed, Ben still sitting on her stomach. Leia took on her stern politician routine…“Okay young man. Exactly what will it take for you to get...Mara Now!!!” Leia screamed surprising Ben and providing his mother with enough time to grab his shirt and whip it down over his head, popping his arms through as she went. “Thank the force for that! I thought I’d never get him dressed!” Leia grinned as Ben, unperturbed by the fact that he seemed to have lost the shirt game, decided to start the lets see if they notice me trying to fall off the bed game. “I’m never going to have any rest with this one am I?” Leia shook her head at Mara’s statement. “I doubt it very much Mara. Especially when he hits his teens.” Mara groaned and once again sprawled herself on the bed as her son attempted a freefall from the beds edge only to be caught by artoo as he whistled and bleeped his way into the room followed shortly by C-3PO "I am to inform you Mistress Mara and Leia that Tahiri will be arriving shortly, Master Luke will be greeting her" Mara nodded a thanks to Threepio as he exited the room whilst Ben rode around on a slowly twirling Artoo.
Luke stopped in his tracks suddenly and gazed skywards. Han noticed his friends concentrated look, “Something up kid?” Luke either didn’t realize Hans small joke or just ignored it. “Something isn’t right. I felt as though something had shattered and a shadow had wrapped itself around it, trying to conceal it...It was probably nothing Han... On a better note, Tahiri is here.” Han looked at Luke incredulously, “You can sense her in the force?” Luke nodded, grinning “Also, I just saw a Sekotan ship fly in. Corran was the one who went to pick them up. Come on, you don’t want there to be no welcoming party do you?” Luke asked as he broke into a slight jog heading for the landing docks. “If there isn’t someone there to greet them then I’m the one dead ex-smuggler!” Han exclaimed as he too began running.
Tahiri sighed as her shoes hit solid ground. It was good to be back on a planet after so long in space though on a number of missions she had spent far longer. “Do you need a hand with the bags, Corran?” Tahiri asked as Corran Horn began throwing luggage out of the ship at lightspeed. “I’m fine Tahiri, if I need any help, it’ll be with the expensive and fragile ones and they get lifted down mechanically anyway. Tahiris’ nose crinkled slightly in distaste, her time on Zonama Sekot had taught her that she didn’t hate all machinery any more, just the ones that seemed to do the simplest of tasks. Turning around as she sensed a familiar presence, Tahiri was greeted with the sight of Han Solo and Luke. “Han!” Tahiri shouted smiling, happy to see another familiar face. “Hey Kid, how are you?” Tahiri smiled widely, the Solos had become like family to her. “I’m much better now than I have ever been I’d like to know though...just when are you going to stop calling me kid!? I’m almost eighteen you know!” Han laughed, pleased that he had managed to get such a long sentence out of this new version of Tahiri. “I’ll stop callin’ ya Kid, when I decide that You know more than I do and have seen more than I have…did you get the present we sent you on your seventeenth?” Han asked smiling as Luke started up a conversation with Corran, knowing that his friend would need to have time to talk. “Yes, I did. It's beautiful, Thank you.” Tahiri grinned as she twirled a gleaming, silver, crescent shaped pendant in her fingers. “Come on then, grab your bags and we can get goin’.” Han exclaimed as he headed off to help Corran and Luke load the baggage into a speeder.
“Have you sensed anything in the past day or so?” Luke asked Corran inquisitively. Corran stared back with a blank expression “No, everythings been pretty normal as far as can tell, Luke. Everything being normal does kinda worry me though.” Luke nodded sagely as he helped load bags into the speeder. “What about you Tahiri? Have you noticed anything?” Tahiri looked downwards, obviously displeased with the question, “I have been having nightmares Master Skywalker. I also thought I noticed something strange when we were leaving Sekot but it could just have been me.” Luke frowned at Tahiris’ reply before continuing, “What about you Tekli? have you sensed anything?” Luke asked the small Chadra Fan. “No master, I haven’t. everything seems to be getting back to some kind of normal level.” Han and Corran finished packing the baggage away into the speeder as Danni Quee stepped out of the ship...
Han grinned as the lithe blond walked up to the speeder. “Hello Danni, how are you?” asked Luke. “Very well thanks, Sekot is doing well too, it has remarkable healing capabilities. The Vong” “Yuuzhan Vong” Tahiri quipped, “Sorry, yes, the Yuuzhan Vong are fitting in quite well with their new surroundings and ecosystem.” Han chuckled as the blonde scientist carried on, “Is everyone else here too?” asked Danni. “Leia and Mara are back at Lukes’ place with the terror of the Jedi” Luke grinned proudly as Han described his son, “Jaina is coming in early tomorrow with Tenel Ka and Jacen is probably hanging around here somewhere” Han smiled at his last remark as he noted Danni become slightly more interested. “Well, I look forward to catching up with everyone then.” Danni said with a smile. Tahiri jumped in the front ahead of Luke, to sit with Han and Corran. “Hey!” the Jedi Master exclaimed in protest. “Come on Luke, you get to ride back there with two lovely ladies, of which we’ll be telling Mara nothing about, besides kid, ya got to give way to your students sometime!” Luke sighed, smiling and shook his head as the speeder took off...
In the cold reaches of space, near the Tingel arm...
”Blasted chains…there!”
The prisoner exclaimed to himself...,
now all I need to do is find a way to the docking bay, steal, no, Borrow a ship and get to Coruscant before those copies of me and Tahiri do and warn uncle Luke about HIM... “Well Anakin, it looks like you’ve got yourself into another fine mess
" the young Jedi thought out loud to himself...
"okay then, here we go.”
He said as, utilising a small screw that he had managed to pry loose of the fittings that held his chains to the wall, Anakin began working on the lock to his cell door before he heard the guard coming back with the rations that he was given. Scurrying back over to his chains, Anakin placed them loosely back on and then lay on the floor not moving or breathing having quickly formulated a new escape plan...”Hey! Jedi scum! Food is ready!...did you hear me!?” the guard suddenly became worried that Anakin had perished, a fact that would perturb his master little since he could simply reanimate the Jedi with the force but a nuisance that would assuredly cost the guard his life...The guard chose. Opening the cell door widely, he stepped into the room and prodded Anakin’s prone form with his foot which elicited no response. The guard then placed the food tray on the floor and knelt down next to Anakin. In a flash , Anakin was up, grabbing the guard by the throat he managed to pull the blaster from the bigger mans belt. A muffled shot was heard but only by the occupants in the room. Anakin stood up, placing the blaster into his belt before donning the guards uniform and then exiting the room, leaving the still smoking corpse of the dead guard behind him...
“Master, the boy...he escapes even now. Should he not be stopped? He is after all the grandson of the chosen one. He may be dangerous...” A dark presence loomed within the entire room, the orb usually used for communication was not present.
“I SHALL DECIDE WHAT IS DANGEROUS, MY SERVANT. THE BOY IS OF LITTLE CONSEQUENCE...DO YOU THINK ME SO INCOMPETENT THAT I WOULD LEAVE BUT A SINGLE GUARD TO DELIVER HIM HIS RATIONS?”
The dark entity spoke into its servants mind causing the minion to cringe in fear.
“WHY DO YOU THINK THERE ARE SO FEW GUARDS IN THE DOCKING BAY?” the thing began chuckling to itself... “SOON ALL THE PIECES WILL BE IN POSITION, I NO LONGER NEED THE BOY...HE HAS SURVED HIS PURPOSE, FOR NOW AT LEAST. LET HIM RETURN HOME AND SPEND WHAT LITTLE TIME HE HAS LEFT WITH HIS FAMILY”
The darkness smiled, watching through a gigantic and technologically modified Villip as Anakin, utilising the force as well as his own natural skills, took care of the guards in the hangar bay before jumping into a small starfighter. Using the force, Anakin managed to open the bay doors and flew to supposed safety... The dark entity smiled grimly as he watched the youngest Solo leave the Widowmaker before speaking to itself...
“HE AND THE REST OF THIS PITIFUL GALAXY WILL SOON, VERY SOON, TREMBLE AT THE MIGHT OF NAGA SADOW!!!”...

PART FIVE
“Tahiri? Are you okay? You seem distant” Leia exclaimed, joining Tahiri on the veranda. “Oh, yes I’m fine” Tahiri said, startled, “It’s just that I thought that I sensed something familiar”...Leia seemed puzzled before recalling what Luke and Han had told her about the meeting when Corran had landed. “Is it anything to do with the nightmares that you have been having?” Leia watched as Tahiri became the puzzled one, a confused look worn on her face whilst she played nervously with the small crescent shaped pendant around her neck. “Luke told me, you know, if you want to talk about them at any time, then you know that we’re here, right?” Tahiri smiled, nodding. “I know and thank you. I don’t know what this feeling I have is...it just seems familiar, like it’s an extension of myself only far away. It’s probably nothing.” Leia nodded and smiled before leaving the young Jedi to her own thoughts.
“She doing okay?” Han asked as Leia re-entered the room. Leia looked unsure as she answered her husband, “I think so, she doesn’t want to talk about those nightmares Luke said she’s been having, perhaps Jaina will be able to-...!”
“Did I hear my name?” Leia stood shocked as her daughter stood in the doorway, Tenel Ka behind her. “Well don’t all welcome us at once.” Han grinned as his daughter marched into the room and wrapped her in a fierce hug. “You feeling better, kid?” Han asked, relating to Jaina staying on Hapes for a short while longer. Jaina smiled wanely and nodded, trying to divert the conversation, “So where’s Jacen?” Jaina asked, wondering why her brother hadn’t come to greet her yet. “He’s out somewhere with Danni, helping with some scientific thing, probably got to do with the world brain... Perhaps her highness here would like to pry the boy away from certain scientific factors?” Han asked raising an eyebrow as he did so,
“That is a fact” The Queen of Hapes smiled and took off as Han pointed a direction out to her. “So where is Tahiri?” Jaina asked as she broke out of a warm hug from her mother. “She’s out on the balcony, go have a chat with her will you? She needs someone to talk to...” Jaina nodded but before she could go anywhere she found Ben wrapped around her ankles. Smiling, Jaina picked him up, “Hello Ben! Do you remember me?” Ben nodded and attempted to say his cousins name correctly, to no avail, ”That’s right! Gosh you got big! You’re the man of the house now I bet!” Ben giggled in an innocent enough manner but also in that childlike way that says `I can get away with murder and I know it` which sends shivers up anyone’s spine.
“You should have seen us try to dress him before” Mara said as she walked into the room. “It’s good to see you Jaina” Mara said smiling as Jaina handed Ben over to his mother. Ben, sensing that his moment of attention was pretty much over, decided that he wanted down and he wanted something to play with. “Being a terror again was he?” both Leia and Mara nodded as Jaina watched her cousin waddle off to find his father.
“Hello Jaina.” Tahiri said as she sensed her friend walk out onto the veranda. Jaina smiled and walked up to stand next to Tahiri. “It’s good to see you again, how have you been?” Jaina smiled wearily before answering her friend. “Well, ever since I heard this day was coming up, I must say that I’ve been better.” Tahiri nodded, understanding “Me too. I’m in no hurry to remember the events of that war but I also want to…” Jaina grinned grimly,
“I know exactly what you mean...It still hurts though, to think about all the friends lost…”
“And all the futures that will never come.” Tahiri finished with tears in her eyes. Ashamed that she was on the verge of tears she wiped her face with the back of her hand. “It’s okay, I get like that every five minutes. The trick is to look at the ground or something `interesting` until you don’t feel so bad. My mom says that you’ve been having nightmares...wanna talk about them?” Tahiri tensed at Jaina’s question, having sensed it coming up for some time. “I do...it’s just that they…I don’t know if I could tell you and you’d think that I was crazy or not.” Jaina smiled wryly and brushed a few loose bangs of hair back from her face, “Well...it isn’t like we haven’t been through that before.” Tahiri looked Jaina in the face and simultaneously, the two friends broke into laughter.
After the fit of hysterics was over Tahiri took on a solemn face. “They always start with me being in pitch black. There’s not a thing there, no trees, no buildings, no animals. There’s just me and the cold dark ground. That’s usually when the laughing begins. At first it starts out quiet but then it builds to a crescendo...” Jaina nodded, slightly disturbed by her friends description of the dream so far. “Then out of nowhere HE steps into my vision.” Jaina looked puzzled clearly not understanding the HE part. “Umm...He?”
“Darth Vader I know I’ve never seen him in person but from what everyone has told me about him, it was Vader. He walks up to me and says something then we duel. I somehow win and when I look at the head its Anakin’s. Our Anakin’s. then the laughter builds up again and I descend into the darkness, that’s when I wake up screaming.” Jaina stared open mouthed at Tahiri. “Wow. Okay, that is officially the worst dream I have ever heard of. You say that the laughter keeps going even after the duel is ended?” Jaina asked. “Yes. I hate that laughter. It scares me, even more than the whole Vader part with Anakin does. I don’t know. Maybe I’m just stressed over this whole ceremony thing.” Jaina nodded sympathetically.
“Maybe. Okay, look, how about if the nightmares continue after the ceremony then we talk to my Uncle? If you want to talk to him earlier then there’s nothing stopping you but after the ceremony, you have to... deal?” Tahiri smiled wearily, knowing she wasn’t getting out of it, “Deal.”
“So the world brain has decided to help us fix the planet?” Danni Quee asked as she walked with Jacen. “Well yes and no I suppose. The world brain will allow the planet to be fixed but to what extent it decides fixed is, we have no idea.” Jacen explained. Danni laughed at Jacens awkward explanation when suddenly Jacen was taken unawares and captured in a fierce embrace. “Tenel Ka!? You’re here early!” Tenel Ka grinned as she let go of Jacen. “It is good to see you again friend Jacen. Your sister is here also and wonders why you haven’t greeted her.” Jacen winced at the fact that he hadn’t seen his sister yet. “She’s mad at me huh?” Tenel Ka nodded slowly
“That is a fact.” Jacen dropped his head, defeated and also to hide the scarlet colouring that had entered his cheeks since Tenel Ka had hugged him.
“Okay, I guess I’ll have to make my way back then before she decides to hunt me down and kill me. I just get all the luck in our family don’t I?” Jacens statement caused both Tenel Ka and Danni to smile before they set off in tow for the Skywalker residence.
A lone man walked down the street that the ceremony was to take place on, making sure that everything was ready for tomorrow. A bustling noise in one of the empty buildings drew him closer…stepping inside the derelict building the man switched on a small torch, “Hello!? Is anybody ther...Ackk!!!” The man was cut off shortly as a dark, gloved hand lifted him off his feet and walked with him into the centre of the ground floor room, telekinetically shoving the door closed behind them. In the dim light that his torch had cast into the room the man could see the face of the heavy breathing individual who held him. The man gargled a terrified response and struggled to get loose of the Dark Knights grip.
Tell me...just where is the remembrance ceremony going to be held?
The man was returned to his feet although Vader’s grip was not completely released from his throat. “It’s just in the street outside milord...It’ll be starting at about seven in the evening...” Darth Vader nodded, apparently pleased with the information. A reedy yet commanding, female voice emanated from the darkness... “Thank You” The man screamed as Riina’s face came into view, the noise he created was suddenly cut short as Riina used the Darkside to smash the mans head against the ceiling so hard that it cracked his spinal vertebrae, killing him instantly. The corpse fell to the floor, blood leaking from its mouth. “Prepare the new batch of Voxyn. Tomorrow, they will feast on the Jeedai insects. Tomorrow, the Jeedai will fall!.” Vader nodded as he walked over to a large cage-like apparatus, large enough to only just fit through the double doors. Through the bars, numerous Voxyn snapped at each other, falling silent as their master approached.
“Soon...the Jedi will learn why they should fear the night, in the name of our master…the Sith shall Rule once more!”
Riina nodded at the Dark knights statement before adding her own... “We will remain here, hidden until it is time to strike. The Jeedai fools will not see us coming. This worthless infidel will not be missed, Master Sadow will see to that, the fool will not have even existed in the minds of anyone who knew him…Tomorrow Lord Vader, we will test you in battle and we will see exactly how quick those Jeedai cowards are to run from the servants of Naga Sadow!........
Umm... this next part should have been part six but I missed it out...
“So, is everything ready for this evening? Its only in a couple of hours you know” Mara asked as she began dressing Ben, a feat that for once seemed plausible as the tot was still half asleep having only just awoken. Luke glanced over to his wife and son, a small smile crossing his face. “Everything is ready dear…Han is probably getting dressed this very minute, Leia too, Jaina and Tahiri are probably already dressed whilst Tenel Ka and Danni are probably milling around Jacen somewhere.” Mara smiled wolfishly as she finished dressing Ben, “What about Corran? And Mirax and their children…I hear Jagged Fel has arrived and I’m still wondering whether or not I have enough patience for the delegates that will be there.” Luke shook his head in wonder as he took his son from his wife’s arms. “How about you Ben? You going to make a fuss over who is there?” Ben replied by staring blankly into his fathers face before deciding that it would be fun to stick his fingers up his fathers nose... “Ackk...Mara!” Mara chuckled quietly as she removed her son from a mortified Luke. “He likes to get your attention dear.”
“I think I’ll teach Ben how to communicate through the force early then...It may save me a few embarrassing moments in public and stop me from getting a one way ticket to the darkside...” Luke replied grinning wryly as Mara set Ben down to change for the ceremony…
“Exactly how many Jedi will be at this ceremony?”
Vader asked Riina through the force. “More than enough lord Vader. Soon we will exact our masters will on the infidel jeedai…very soon”. Riina replied, a feral grin split her features as she looked over to the cage containing the Voxyn…
“I’m not so sure that green is my colour Jaina.” Tahiri said as she looked at herself in the mirror. “Oh don’t be silly! You look fine, you’ll be beating off the guys with a stick!” Tahiri looked at herself again, the dress moulding itself to her curves. “Yeah, I guess you’re right, though it’ll be my lightsaber and not a stick that I’ll use, this ceremony is to remember those who gave their lives that ours may continue on…” Tahiri replied, slowly fingering the silver pendant around her neck again. “I know, and so does everyone else, still if it’s going to be a sad day then we should be able to enjoy it one way or another!” Tahiri smiled at her friends sudden upbeat mood, the reason for which became apparent as a knock was heard on the door, Jaina opened it with glee, already knowing who it was. “Jag!” Jagged Fel stepped into the room, dressed in an expensive suit, ready for the ceremony. “I come bearing gifts” Jag said, procuring an elegant flower from behind his back and presenting it to Jaina. Jaina laughed, amused by his attempt at charm as Tahiri giggled in the background. “Smooth, very smooth, Jag” Jaina said before giving him a quick kiss before he could reply with some sort of quip. “Care to take a walk before this all starts?” Jag grinned, Jaina looked over to Tahiri, silently asking her friend if it was okay. Tahiri nodded in the `What are you asking me for!?` manner, allowing her friend to slip out the door. Tahiri sighed, exasperated and thought silently of what could have been…
“Hey Dad! Do any of us have to give a speech or something?” Valin Horn shouted to his father from his room. “What do you think?” Corran replied, leaving the air heavy with the need for an answer. “Umm…I think that if Master Skywalker asks if any of us would like to say something…I should say it if I have anything good to say.” Corran nodded in silent approval of his son. “Hey Dad?”
“Yeah?” Corran answered,
“This isn’t going to be fun at all is it?” Corran left the rhetorical question alone, knowing that his son was right.
The hours passed swiftly, delegates arrived, people who wished to pay their respects to those killed milled into the large street prepared for the event. A large podium had been erected from ferrocrete at the foot of the new senate building. The people massed on two sides of the street, creating a pathway down to the podium the Jedi were situated near the podium, Mara was already in the crowd holding Ben whilst Luke composed himself. Some people cheered as Luke Skywalker stepped up to the podium, some frowned, their distaste for the Jedi Master and his status evident on their faces. Many simply remained silent, the day, one year exactly from the time the war ended had begun to cause grief already. Luke looked out at the sea of people who had come, at his Jedi, Tenel Ka, Jacen, Tahiri, Valin, Jaina to name but a few, his gaze slowly rose upwards to rest upon the vast crowd gathered before him. Numerous serving droids passed out drinks to the crowd as Luke readied himself...
“One Year ago today…” Luke began, “One year ago today, we ended a war that resulted in the deaths of countless individuals, saving countless more. Together we bonded and drove the enemy into defeat. Together we found that we are strong. It is today, one year from our victory, that we gather to honour those who died that we may live…” Luke paused, tears beginning to cloud his vision as he struggled to continue. “Hail…The victorious dead.” Luke finished raising the glass he had been given by a serving droid. The crowd mimicked in response and all who were able, those who were not in tears, lifted their glasses as one “HAIL!, HAIL!” the crowd chanted. “Let us all take a moments silence and reflect on what each of you may. Then I will leave the podium floor open to those who wish to say what they will.” Luke finished and the crowd fell completely silent, many had their heads bowed…
The silence was broken a mere moment later by the sound of a single person applauding. The individual clapped their hands a maximum of five times before falling silent. Luke looked up to see who would break the silent respect being shown…“Well done master Skywalker. Well done indeed. That was a speech worthy of the Jeedai of old…” Luke stared in shock and confusion at the almost complete duplicate of Tahiri standing before him. “I must stress that should any member of the crowd leave…then I’m afraid that they will have to die.” Riina stated calmly. The crowd began to panic looking about for some form of escape and finding none as leaving the street meant going past Riina. The crowds situation was not lessened as Darth Vader walked on to the street…a man screaming tried to run only to be caught in a force choke hold by Vader who then proceeded to hurl him into the upper atmosphere. A few moments later, the man came crashing back down with a sickening thud on the street. The crowd began screaming and yelling, before Riina raised her voice again, “I have a small batch of Huun here” Riina stated, indicating a small phial on her belt, “Both lord Vader and myself are impervious to its effects. The rest of you will not be so lucky…now BE SILENT!” the crowd immediately fell into a silent dread, a few children remained wailing with fear. Tahiri’s eyes remained locked onto Riina, wondering exactly what in the force was going on. “Who are you and what do you want?” Luke asked, his hand straying to his lightsaber hilt. “Now, now master Skywalker, don’t be hasty and stop trying to draw your weapon, actions like that will only get you killed faster. Now, I believe I am the one who is in a position to ask questions here…but as I am in a generous mood today, I will enlighten you somewhat. We are Sith. We are here to kill you on the orders of our master. There may be a chance for your salvation however, should Tahiri Veila step forward and answer MY challenge.” Riina stated bluntly…
Tahiri moved to step out of the crowd. “Tahiri don’t! Jaina whispered “They will kill you!” Tahiri shook her head
“What choice do I have Jaina? Besides, If she wanted us dead then she’d have done it already with that shaper toxin she has on her belt.” Tahiri stepped forwards, away from the crowd and into the open street. “I am no coward. I will answer your challenge but first I want to know your name.” Riina tossed her head back laughing at Tahiri’s request. “You of all people should know my name, Jeedai. I am Riina Kwaad, your executioner.” Riina stated before drawing her lightsaber with lightning speed intending to behead Tahiri in one swift motion. This was not to be the case however as Riina suddenly found that her opponent matched her in more ways than one as Tahiri traded Riina blow for blow, cloth, both living and synthetic became singed as some blows came closer than others. Riina noticed an opening and somersaulted over Tahiri but Tahiri copied the movement and traded blows with Riina mid-air as they crossed each others path. Riina cursed inwardly, this wasn’t how it was supposed to be! The crowd watched with morbid curiosity as a Jedi and a Sith fought on Coruscant for the first time since anyone could remember. “Do-roik Vong Pratte!” Riina screamed at Tahiri as she dashed towards her. “Same to you” Tahiri thought as she caught Riinas blow high on her blue blade and quickly forced the Siths red lightsaber away, causing Riina to spin in a 360 degree motion to catch a downward blow that Tahiri thought would end the duel. Riina twisted her blade away to the side forcing Tahiri to follow or be disarmed and also exposing her back! Riina lunged forwards but Tahiri had sensed the blow coming and managed to sidestep the lunge, kicking Riina in the face! Riina began to get desperate and on the next blow, whipped outwards with a small coufee hidden within the recesses of her living cloak managing to land a blow on Tahiris arm. Tahiri backed off feeling dizzy as Riina Kwaad advanced upon her. Riina knocked Tahiri’s lightsaber from her hands with a vicious blow, causing the young woman to fall to her knees. Jaina had her lightsaber in hand and was preparing to jump to her friends rescue when a man, hooded and clothed in rags stopped her, shaking his head. “You may want to know before you die Tahiri” Riina spoke softly, “He did die at Myrkr but we brought him back…a pity you will never see him again…isn’t it.” A number of the Jedi in the crowds gasped whilst the Solo/Skywalker clan was gripped with confusion and disbelief. “After today I will be the last of my kind…the last of your kind…” Tahiri’s eyes widened at Kwaads words as the Lightsaber came down, singing of her death…
Tahiri looked up at the sizzling noise in front of her face as the crowd gasped in amazement, to see Riina’s blood red lightsaber being blocked by her own blue blade. A stranger blocked Riinas killing stroke with astounding speed and skill and the entire crowd stared in utter astonishment, as a wind blew through the street, taking the hood off the figures face. The Force sensitive of the crowd could scarcely believe who they sensed in the force and who was standing before them…
The figure blocking Riinas blade used the force to send her flying away from himself and Tahiri. Riina and Vader looked on in anger at the young man standing before them in defiance.
Anakin quickly glanced down at Tahiri and offered his trademark grin before gazing coolly at Riina… “I’d say that this little contest just went into overtime…wouldn’t you?”……….
“Solo”. Riina snarled after jumping back to her feet. “How ever did you manage to get here?” Anakin fixed Riina with a piercing gaze as he knelt down next to Tahiri who had lapsed into unconsciousness. “I managed to fool your masters’ guards and steal a ship, masking my presence in the force so you wouldn’t sense me landing.” The Jedi looked on in awe and confusion as their supposedly dead hero talked calmly with a professed Sith. Jaina, along with Leia and Han were restraining themselves from rushing forward and grabbing Anakin in a hug. “Anakin” Jaina whispered, though Anakin heard her, “No Krakana Jaya, just a few minor things to take care of here. Take Tahiri somewhere safe would you? She needs medical attention, the poison is already running swiftly through her system.” Jaina nodded slowly, trying to comprehend that the little brother that she had thought dead was standing before her, issuing orders as calmly as he had when they were together in the strike team on Myrkr. Together with her mother, Jaina moved Tahiri off what was about to become a battlefield…
“How sweet. I understand very little about what our master sees in you Solo…It matters little however, as you and your Jeedai friends are about to die!” Saying that Riina nodded to Vader who simply raised his hand. A number of moments passed before a horribly familiar sound, to those that had been in the strike team, was heard. Jacen and the majority of the Jedi situated in the street gasped as ten Voxyn, without any form of decay that others had shown, walked to stand beside the two Sith.
“Kill them.”
Vader ordered, gesturing with his right hand. The voxyn sprang forth, their jaws wide. Numerous people in the crowd panicked and tried to flee, only to be held in place by Riina. The voxyn stopped mid air suddenly as Anakin stretched out his hand and summoned the force. With a whim he snapped the necks of the hideous creatures and allowed their bodies to slump to the ground. Vader gazed at Anakin through his helmet with such rage and hatred that the force sensitive children of the crowd began crying and whimpering. Ben was the loudest of all, wailing as his mother held him trying to calm him down.
“It seems as though we will have to settle this the old fashioned way.”
Vader said, igniting his saber which glowed a viscous blood red. Anakin nodded, and grinned in the Solo trademark fashion before calling the force to him and without glancing back at his uncle, keeping his eyes fixated on Vader, Anakin called Lukes’ blade into his other hand. Anaking ignited both Tahiris’ and his uncles blades with a snap hiss and Vader was greeted with the sight of two blades, one blue, one green.
The crowd waited with baited breath, the tension in the air was indescribable. Then, with a ferocious battle cry, Vader and Anakin launched themselves at each other with no quarter asked or given.
“underestimate him not. Strong with the hatred of the darkside he is.”
a voice warned Anakin just as he and Vader clashed. Anakin using one blade to block, the other to attack, continually whirled and twisted, changing his battle postures, forcing Vader to do the same. Anakin caught Vaders red blade between his own but the dark Knight twisted his lightsaber downwards to the right, putting Anakin off balance. Anakin went with the imbalance in his stance and rolled along the floor before flipping high and twisting mid air, striking at Vader as he began to land, clashing blades a number of times.
“That style was not in use by you at Myrkr.”
Vader stated, amazed by Anakins’ adaptation to the fight. Anakin felt more invigorated than ever before, the force itself seemed to be calling to him, filling him with strength and knowledge that he had only ever experienced once before…but this time he wasn’t on the verge of death. The two warriors blades clashed again and again, many times both came close to finishing the battle. Clothing was singed by the close encounters of the lightsabres being swung and the fight seemed to last a lifetime in the street. After a time, the two warriors jumped apart, distancing themselves from one another, gauging how exhausted each really was. It was then that Anakin shifted his posture again, discarding his uncles lightsabre and raising Tahiris’ blade above his head in the hidari jodan no kamae style, reminiscent of his grandfather. Vader stood perplexed at his enemy leaving his stomach open but attacked anyway, thrusting his blade towards Anakin, intending to impale him. Anakin timed his counter at just the right moment, bringing his blade outwards to meet Vaders and sweeping it aside. Vader went with the movement of his blade in a 360 degree turn, bringing his lightsaber around at head height intending to decapitate Anakin. Anakin however had dropped to his knees as Vaders’ back was turned and as the Sith came full circle, Anakin brought his blue blade across his opponents belly, cutting him in two.
The Dark knight fell in two halves as Riina looked on with a restrained respect at Anakin before glancing at him in the force. Anakin glowed like a supernova, the force seemed to be feeding him with knowledge of Jedi past in order for him to overcome his foes. Riina knew little of what it truly meant, perhaps the force was repaying the young Jedi for carrying out its will. Whatever the reason, Riina became aware of the fact that she could not win against this opponent. She had been barely able to hold her own against her counterpart!
“RIINA. WITHDRAW. THIS DAY IS LOST TO YOU. WORRY NOT, YOUR MASTER IS PLEASED WITH THIS OUTCOME. THIS WAS BUT A TEST TO SEE WHAT THE BOY WAS TRULY CAPABLE OF. NOW DEPART! I STILL HAVE NEED OF YOUR SERVICE.”
Sadow spoke directly into Riinas mind as she glared at Anakin. “So…are you next?” Anakin asked. Riina smiled whimsically, “I think not Solo. I know when to cut my losses. You’ll have to wait a little longer before you play this game with me.” Riina stated. The crowd became restless once more as they broke out of their trance of astonishment when a loud noise, similar to a craft hovering was heard. A small coralskipper suddenly came into view, Riina took the initiative and before anyone could stop her she jumped aboard with the force. “Another day Solo! Another day!” she screamed at Anakin as he stood in the street before the coralskipper took off back into the dark reaches of space. “Of that I have little doubt.” Anakin whispered to himself in reply.
The crowds of Coruscant suddenly broke out into a chorus of cheers, hailing anakins victory. The Solo/Skywalker clan rushed to him as did a number of the crowd but all stopped as Anakin wavered… “Anakin? baby?” Leia asked as Anakin slumped to the ground unconscious, Tahiris’ lightsaber slipping from his grasp. Han clasped his wife by the shoulders comfortingly and moved her aside as he bent down next to his son, picking him up gingerly as if validating that Anakin was flesh and blood and not some apparition. Tears flowed freely down Hans face as well as a number of people in the crowd along with the Solo/Skywalker family. Even Tenel Ka looked a bit bleary eyed though she hid her face by looking to the sky as if in search of Riinas ship. Luke called his lightsaber back to him and spoke loudly and clearly using the force to amplify his voice so all could hear. “This day was to be for those who died to save us. It would seem that there are those who would disrupt the peace we have fought and died for. Though we seem to be on the doorstep to a new evil, do not fear. Together we are strong. Together we will endure…go home to your families now, the senate and the Jedi will convene to discuss what we should do. Thank you.” Luke stated distantly, looking at his nephew being carried by Han. Tahiri was picked up by Corran from where Jaina had lain her down. A bandage had been wrapped around her wound in a tight tourniquet to stem the poisons flow. The crowds slowly ambled out of the street, some crying, some numb from what they had witnessed and some wondering what fate had in store for them this time round.
Tahiri woke slowly, her thoughts jumbled. Slowly, the young Jedi pieced them all together and recalled the events of the day, eventually recalling the miracle appearance of a blue eyed Jedi who in theory was dead. “Anakin!” Tahiri shouted, sitting bolt upright in bed. “Easy now. You’ve had a bit of a rough day.” Leia soothed, settling the girls head back down onto the pillows. Tahiri uttered an extreme expletive in Vong “I had that Sith cold! I would have won if she hadn’t managed to hit me with that coufee!” Jacen stared at Tahiri, her swearing in Yuuzhan Vong was never pretty. “Anakin? I thought I saw…” Tahiri said, looking downcast. Han motioned with his eyes over to the bed just over from Tahiris’. Tahiri gasped and tears sprang unbidden to her eyes at the sight of Anakins sleeping form. “He woke up for a second, looked over our way, then yours, then smiled and kind of passed out again.” Han said. Tahiri looked at him quizzically. “Is he going to be okay?” she asked. Han shrugged then Luke answered her as he walked into the room, Ben in arms. “He’ll be fine Tahiri. I think he just expended so much of his energy that he simply needs to recharge.” Luke said as he set Ben down on Tahiris’ bed, who decided that crawling all over Tahiri while she lay there would be fun. Tahiri giggled as Ben clumsily crawled up to her and sat in her lap, staring over at Anakin. “ I wonder if he’ll remember his cousin?” Tahiri said. Luke shrugged, “He’ll have to rediscover him, that’s all. Anakin is going to have one big reception when he wakes up, that’s for sure.” Han smiled wryly, noticing Tahiri stealing glances now and again, “In more ways than one I should imagine, Luke.” Han said, causing Tahiri to look away quickly, blushing. Jaina, Mara and a number of other Jedi soon collected in the room, waiting for Anakin to wake…
Meanwhile, on the coralskipper fastly approaching the co-ordinates of the Widowmaker…
“WORRY NOT, MY APPRENTICE. YOU HAVE DONE WELL. ALLUDING THEM TO OUR PRESENCE IS NOT A PROBLEM. DOUBTLESS THEY WILL NOW SCURRY TO FIND OUT WHO SENT YOU AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE. THE LOSS OF VADER IS LAMENTABLE, HOWEVER BUT WE CAN EASILY CREATE ANOTHER. RETURN TO ME SOON RIINA. I HAVE MUCH OF MY PLANS TO DIVULGE TO YOU…”
Riina relaxed as her masters presence left her mind, allowing her to return her thoughts to the cognition hood of the coralskipper and make haste back to her master……

PART SIX
“YOU THINK YOU HAVE ESCAPED ME DON’T YOU?” the darkness said, laughing. “TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THAT YOU HAVEN’T. YOU DID VERY WELL ON YOUR LITTLE TEST…BUT I TIRE OF YOUR RESILIENCE AGAINST JOINING ME YOU SHALL MAKE YOUR DECISION SOON. I SHALL LEAVE YOU WITH A GIFT FOR NOW. SOMETHING TO THINK OVER…A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME”
Naga Sadows voice ended and only normal comforting darkness remained, until that is, the images began. A flurry of people dear to the dreamer passed before his eyes and one by one he saw them being cut down by Riina, by a dark Jedi he couldn’t place and then by himself. Anakin screamed as the images flashed before his eyes, people he loved dearly, his mother, father, Uncle Luke, Aunt Mara, Ben, Jaina, Jacen…Tahiri, all dying in new and horrible ways each time and in the background of these terrifying images, a vision of a Shadow Falling upon the galaxy, devouring all…
“NO!!!” Anakin woke up screaming, sweat pouring down his face. Strong arms wrapped around him in a fierce protective hug as a familiar, soothing voice spoke calmly to him. “Anakin? Anakin? it’s alright, you’re having a nightmare. Easy, you’re safe.” The voice stopped and Anakin slowly opened his eyes as he was lowered back to the bed. Anakin was greeted by the sight of his parents tearful gaze as he slowly opened his eyes, getting accustomed to the light. “Mom? Dad?......I’m home? I’m home!” Anakin said sounding shocked as his mother and father wrapped him in a fierce hug together.
“We thought we’d lost you for good Kid! I don’t care how you’re here or what happened to you, I’m just glad your okay, son.” Han said after disengaging himself from the hug. “I thought I was still with him…I thought being back home was just a dream.” Anakin said fearfully as if his parents were to suddenly disappear and all would be revealed as an illusion. “With who baby?” Leia asked, concerned and wiping tears from her eyes not for the first time since Anakins return. “Don’t question the boy just yet Leia, kid’s got to sort his head out. He’ll tell us if he wants to, when he’s ready.” Han said, to which Leia nodded in reply. “kill them…” a voice whispered to Anakin in Yuuzhan Vong. Anakin shook his head slightly, unnerved and unsure of what he had heard. “Do ro-ik Vong pratte!” the voice screamed in his head.
“Anakin? are you okay?” Leia asked, noticing her sons’ distantness.
“Sure mom. I’m fine. Really, it’s just a slight headache.” Anakin lied, managing to shake off the unnerving voice he had heard.
“Well I don’t know when he’s going to wake up. I’m sure mom or dad will let us know, Uncle Luke.” Jaina said as she walked in through the door of the medical room. “Oh!...” Jaina said startled as she saw her little brother sitting up in bed. Jaina aaid nothing more and rushed forward. Once again, Anakin was crushed in an embrace as his uncle and parents looked on, smiling. “Hello Jaya.” Anakin said, using his pet name for his sister to greet her. Jaina looked him up and down and also checked him in the force before smiling and hugging him again. “Just needed to make sure it was you little brother.” Jaina’s face took on a serious , somber look. “I’m sorry” she said.
“Sorry for what?” Anakin asked, confused. “What have you got to be sorry for?”
“We left you behind. We thought you were dead!” Anakin shook his head.
“I WAS dead Jaina. We’ll leave it at that for now. Let’s just say I have a lot to tell you all.” Anakin smiled and for the first time began scanning the room with his eyes, before locking his gaze on Tahiri’s empty bed. “Tahiri? Is she okay? “ Anakin asked frantically. “She’s fine , Kid. Just fine. We managed to flush whatever was on the edge of that coufee out of her system pretty quickly. She’s in the cantina having lunch. We practically had to force her to go, she wanted to be here when you woke up. She is not going to be happy with us.” Han said grimly but with a small smile on his face. “Jacen will be along shortly to, he’s taking lunch with Danni and Tenel Ka.” Han smiled wryly. “Corran and Valin said they’d be round to see you soon as well, they’re taking a look around the city to make sure that miss Kwaad didn’t leave any nasty surprises around. Also, Alema and a bunch of others will want to see you not to mention your Aunt.” Luke cut in. “We have a lot of questions, Anakin but no-one is going to pressure you to answer them until you feel ready. I want you to understand that.” Anakin seemed to mull over this information for a short while before smiling, nodding thanks to his uncle and making his mind up.
“Oh no! I know that look when I see it! I’ve seen it on your sisters face, on Tahiri’s face and moreover MY face more than enough times!” Anakin laughed for the first time in a long while as his father went on his rant. Leia put her hand on Hans arm, glad that for the first time in a far too long timespan, her entire family, extended and related, was together…safe.
“I’m not going to do anything stupid, dad. I just thought that if the majority of people who want to see me are in the cantina, then why don’t I save them the trip? Look, Let me take a trip to the fresher, find some decent clothes and I’ll go.” Han looked unsure and was not the only one who did. “You sure Kid? You weren’t looking so good a while ago.” Han countered, not really wanting his son up and about too soon.
“I’m fine, Dad. Honestly. I just needed to recharge myself from getting here from where I was and from the battle.” Leia got up and moved over to a chair where a small bundle lay. “I kept these for you. I was going to give them to you on your eighteenth birthday. I don’t know if they’ll fit but…here” Leia handed the clothes to Anakin who unravelled them. A darkly coloured set of Jedi robes was unveiled. “Thank you mom. They’re great.” Anakin said as he set them out before him on the bed. “I’m going to go get something to eat…I guess I’ll see you in the cantina soon then.” Anakin nodded at his sister. “Oh and little brother? I missed you. It’s good to have you back.” Jaina left quickly so that no one would see the wave of tears that had started rolling down her face. Anakin smiled and got out of bed, heading to the fresher. “Anakin? I don’t really want to push, but…when you killed those Voxyn, I didn’t sense any hate from you, but that was not a lightside technique.” Anakin turned to his uncle. “I know you’re concerned but I don’t know why I killed those Voxyn the way I did. I’m not even sure…that it was me.” Luke nodded and smiled, sending a wave of assurance through the force to Anakin, telling him he trusted him. Leia and Han began folding up the bedclothes before leia sagged, sobbing again into Hans arms. Luke himself sat wearily down into a chair, exhausted.
Riina Kwaad exited the coralskipper she had used to escape Coruscant and solemnly walked to the main chamber of the Widowmaker fully expecting her master to visit his full, terrible wrath upon her at any moment. Riina entered the chamber and knelt in fron of a large black obelisk that seemed to grow out of the floor. Riina placed her weapons before it and bowed her head.
“ARE YOU FRIGHTENED RIINA?”
Naga Sadow asked, his image appearing in the obelisk. “A true Sith, a true warrior knows no fear, only acceptance of their chosen path.”
“A WISE ANSWER MY APPRENTICE BUT I EXPECT NO LESS FROM YOU. YOU HAVE NO NEED TO BOW IN SHAME. I TOLD YOU THAT YOU HAD SUCCEEDED. THE VADER CLONE WAS MEANT TO FAIL. CALL IT `TESTING A NEW WEAPON`. THE TEST PROVED SUCCESSFUL. THE NEXT ONE WILL BE STRONGER AND FROM HIM, AN ARMY…MY ARMY SHALL BE CREATED!
” Riina looked up as her master finished his tirade to discover that no black obelisk stood before her…but her master himself in flesh and bone! Truly the force has power unrivalled! she thought to herself as her master stood before her, clad in a robe darker than the abyss. “A NEW POWER IS RISING, MY APPRENTICE. IT’S VICTORY SHALL NOT BE DENIED!...SOON NOW, THE ENTIRE GALAXY WILL BE STAINED WITH THE BLOOD OF THE JEDI!”……
Tahiri sat on her own, as was her way now, in a mindful stupor. All she could think about was the Jedi that lay in the bed next to hers in the medical bay, the Jedi with eyes of ice. “If he has woken up before I get back…” Tahiri thought to herself and was interrupted as Jaina sat down next to her. “Jaina…hello.” Jaina smiled, “No, there’s been no change Tahiri. He’s still resting.” Tahiri looked sullen and disappointed. “He is …him though, right?”
“Of course. We checked him so many times when he was asleep, in the force, DNA tests, you name it. It’s our Anakin for sure.” Jaina said before taking a bite out of her lunch. Sensing something, Jaina smiled and made her excuses, “Oops! got to go! I’m supposed to be meeting Jag soon!” Tahiri nodded, unable to open her mouth as she chewed, as Jaina got up to leave. A few moments passed and Tahiri’s thoughts turned to the battle that had taken place at the remembrance ceremony. Suddenly, she became aware that the entire room had fallen quiet and a shadow was cast onto her table. “Is this seat taken?” a voice that she had heard so often in her dreams asked. Daring to glance upwards, Tahiri was met with a shock of unruly hair, a freshly shaven face and a cocky grin that she knew all too well. Ice blue eyes stared into Emerald green as the entire cantina gazed dumbstruck at the pair......

PART SEVEN
“RIINA. GO AND MEET WITH OUR NEW ACQUAINTANCE AT THESE CO-ORDINATES. THEN RETURN TO THIS VESSEL WITH HER.” Naga Sadow, master of the Darkside said on the starship Widowmaker, in orbit of Coruscant.
“By Your Command.” Riina stated, getting up from her kneeling position and making for the hangar bay…
Tahiri stared awestruck at Anakin before jumping up from her seat at the table. Anakin set his tray down and the entire cantina stared as Tahiri slowly walked up to Anakin and gingerly reached out for his face. Anakin allowed her fingers to briefly touch his cheek before gently grasping her hand in his. “It’s me.” Anakin said, slowly taking her hand in his.
“You’re real!” Tahiri exclaimed, “You’re home!” Tahiri flung her arms around him in a tight hug and buried her face in his shoulder as she realized to her shame, she had begun to cry. “I’m home” Anakin said “thank the force” Anakin thought to himself. After a short while the cantina began to settle down, though numerous whispers could be heard throughout the hall. Tahiri pulled slowly away from Anakin, “You have a lot to say, I’ll bet” Tahiri smiled as she sat back into her seat. Anakin slumped down into his and after swallowing down a mouthful of milk answered her. “Not so much as you I think. My mom said that you’d been through a lot since I was gone.” Anakin said as he began shovelling food into his mouth. “You could say that” Tahiri said and ran her fingers over the scars on her forehead. “Not to say I haven’t got things that need to be said however…” Anakin trailed off, an unhappy expression beginning to cover his face. “Hey…You feel like getting out of here?” Anakin asked.
“Sure, where did you have in mind to go?” Tahiri replied as she finished her food, placing her fork down onto her plate. The pair didn’t notice the entire cantinas’ stares
as they left the room together…
Just about every Jedi in the galaxy sat around an oval shaped table and around the room of what once was the home of a diplomat. Valin and Corran Horn sat together next to Han and Leia while Jacen, Jaina and Jag sat opposite. Mara and Luke sat at the head of the table whilst Ben crawled along its surface gaining much attention. Danni and Tenel Ka vied for a position next to Jacen who simply shrugged and let Tenel Ka take his seat next to his sister so that he was in between both Danni and Tenel Ka. Tekli sat further down the table along with 3-PO and R2 who whistled and bleeped happily. “I’m pretty sure you know why I’ve called you here” Luke began. “Barely a day ago, one who we thought lost to us, returned at a time when we were at need. We were at need due to a self professed Sith lord attempting to take our lives. I simply want to hear your take on the matter.” Luke said, sitting back down next to his wife who was attempting to get Ben settled. Ben was having none of this and decided that crawling away from his mum on the table, towards Jaina, seemed like his best option.
It proved futile however as his cousin betrayed him and picked him up, taking him directly to his mothers arms. Ben began putting up a fuss but soon noticed that no-one was really paying attention and so started chewing on his mothers’ robes to pass the time.
On the rooftop of the new republic building Anakin and Tahiri stood, taking in the sunset that had begun to flow over Coruscants’ surface. Anakin looked over to Tahiri and was momentarily blinded by a small flash of light around her neck. “Ah! What the…” Tahiri regarded him strangely before looking down at the oddly shaped pendant dangling from her neck. “Oh! Sorry. Your parents gave it to me for my birthday.”
“A belated happy birthday then. I, uh… hope you got what you wanted.” Anakin smiled at her and flashed his trademark Solo grin.
Tahiri locked eyes with him, “I think I did” she replied before dropping her gaze to the floor. Anakin glanced at the pendant around her neck before shaking his head. “What? You don’t like it?” Tahiri asked.
“It’s not that, it’s just, when I look at it, it doesn’t…seem right. I can’t explain it. Forget I said anything, I’m probably just tired.” Tahiri nodded and shrugged.
“You’ve changed, you know. It suits you…even though I’m still getting used to the whole ``wearing shoes`` now thing.” Anakin paused, trying to think of what to say without screwing up. “Listen, I wanted to apologise.” Tahiri looked confused.
“What for?” something seemed to dawn in Tahiris’ mind “If it’s about you not being here then…”
“It’s not about that. You were involved in single combat, honourable combat. No matter what, I had no right to interfere. I apologise.” Tahiri stared blankly at him for a while before bursting out laughing. “You’re still a dummy. I’m glad you helped out. If you still want to make it up to me though…” Tahiri said mischievously.
“Name it” Anakin said, expecting some trivial request.
“Spar with me.” Tahiri asked. “I want to see just how good you’ve got and just how good I am”. Anakin thought for a moment and then a grin split his features.
“Okay. Deal. But you have to go get a pair of training ‘sabers. I’m not risking a Jacen/Tenel Ka incident!” Tahiri smiled happily and nodded before running downstairs.
Jaina sat back down, after returning Ben to her Aunt as her father began to speak, “I don’t much care what happened, Luke. All I know is that I have my son back, I don’t care if it’s due to some Vong experiment gone haywire!” a number of cheers went up throughout the room as a number of Jedi agreed with Han. “I too am glad that Anakin is back among us. I also feel a great shame knowing that he has been alive all this time and we could do nothing. However, Anakin shows up, wielding completely different fighting techniques to the ones he previously used and to top it all off he uses a move straight out of the darkside to kill those Voxyn!” Han and Leia as well as Mara looked at Luke with piercing gazes. “Just what are you suggesting? I thought you said that you detected no hate in him.” Han said, angrily, pointing his finger at Luke. “I didn’t, but you must admit that something strange is going on, Han.”
“I think you’re being slightly paranoid.” Kyp Durron quipped as the two finished their little battle of wills. “Since when did we ask YOU specifically, what you thought about us?” Jaina shot back causing Kyp to glance downwards sheepishly.
“I for one am glad that Anakin is back. Even if the circumstances are a little…odd. It will provide some much needed morale around here.” Corran Horn said, causing a majority of parties to fall silent. “I believe that the answers lie with Anakin himself. If you want those answers, ask him, Luke. He has not lied to you before, I see no reason why he would do so now.” Luke sighed as Corran sat back down into his seat.
“You’re right, Corran. If it is answers we want, then asking Anakin is the best bet, I do not, however, want to pressure him in any way. If he does not want to talk yet, we will simply wait.” This seemed to please the majority of the Jedi in the room.
“Now all we have to do is go find him.” Jacen said as he took a sip of his water…
Two blades hummed and crackled with menace as both Anakin and Tahiri took their positions. “Ready?” Anakin asked her.
“Ready!” Tahiri said. A moment of tension passed before the two Jedi lunged towards one another, their blades crackling and sparking as they glanced off one another. Tahiri suddenly went into a series of rolls and flips, causing Anakin to change his footwork and battle stance numerous times in order to keep up. Anakin started to mimic Tahiri and the two Jedi clashed in midair on several occasions. Anakin decided to end things quickly and moved into the Hidari Jodan No Kamae style he had used against the Vader clone. Tahiri had been unconscious by the time Anakin had clashed with the dark knight but she was no fool and instead of lunging towards Anakins stomach, she swung Vertically downwards at Anakin, causing him to catch her blade on his own. The two Jedi went into a power struggle, both of them trying to force the others blade towards the ground. As they did so, they began to get closer and closer and slowly, they began to forget the fight they were in as their faces became inches apart, then centimetres, then millimetres…
“Hey Anakin! You up here?!” Anakin and Tahiri broke away from each other quickly, extinguishing their training blades as Valin Horn came up the stairway into view. Anakin huffed and not just from the exertion of his sparring competition with Tahiri. “There you are! Master Skywalkers’ been looking for you everywhere! There’s some kind of meeting going on. If you’re up to answering a few questions, then…well, you should come along” Valin finished awkwardly as Anakin had began to glare at him slightly. Tahiri giggled and directed her attention to Anakin, “I’ll see you later Anakin, I’m going to go clean up in the ‘fresher! Bye!” she finished and quickly descended the stairs into the building. Anakin picked up his Jedi cloak that he had removed for his sparring session and put it on before clapping a hand on Valins’ shoulder. “YOU, have lousy timing.” Anakin said slowly, causing Valin to cringe before Anakin grinned and headed off down the stairs, followed by Valin.
“You think he’ll tell us anything? He must have been through a lot Luke” Mara said as she detached Ben from her robes, popping a small sweet into his mouth instead to keep him occupied.
“I will.” Anakin said as he entered the room. Jaina looked at her little brother and smiled. “Finally found you then, huh?” Anakin nodded and smiled but Jaina caught something in his eyes and covered her mouth with her hand so no one would see her grinning. “Anakin… we don’t want to push you, I’ve said that much to you already. All we want to know is, just what is going on?” the rest of the room murmured the same question before Jacen spoke up while Tahiri walked in to stand with Anakin, who leant on the wall near the doorway. Jacen suddenly couldn’t meet his brothers gaze and stared at the table blankly. “Anakin…I’m glad you’re back. More than glad…it’s just, well…how is this possible? We all felt you die! We even had a funeral for you!”…... “I’m sorry.” Jacen said after a few moments. “
“You want to know what’s going on, brother? Can you handle what I have to tell you? Moreover, will you believe me?” Anakin asked not just Jacen but the entire room.
“You have given us no cause to distrust you before, Anakin.” Luke said as his wife gripped his hand under the table. “I meant no insult, Anakin, I, we… We just want to know what’s going on. That’s all.” Jacen sat back down and Leia reached out over the table, taking her sons’ hand in her own. “I think, starting at the beginning would be best, Anakin.” Leia stated gently.
“The beginning…well, then, I suppose we should start with my end.” Anakin paused and sat down on the floor next to Tahiri who placed a supporting hand on his arm. “After Myrkr, I did die. For seven whole minutes I was gone, one with the force. Then I was back, my wounds healed, my life restored. Except I had been covered in blorash jelly and an ysalimiri was sitting on my chest. The body that you picked up, that you rescued Jaya…was a clone. They’d been planning this for months, perhaps longer. They let you take the clone, inflicted the wounds that I had sustained on it and let you take it to make you think I was dead. For three whole months I was…” Anakin paused as terrible memories flooded back to him. “For three whole months, they tortured me. Trying to break me, trying to get me to tell them where you were or perhaps something more. They strapped me in the embrace of pain for six weeks and lashed my back nightly with an amphistaff.” Anakin paused as the whole room looked at him in pity while some couldn’t even meet his gaze, their faces grim and ashen. Tahiri was biting her lip to contain her anger as were a number around the room, including Jaina.
Tahiri tightened her grip on Anakins’ arm as he tensed, remembering his treatment. “Kill them” Leia and Han along with the rest of their family looked concernedly at Anakin as he wavered. “You don’t have to continue if you don’t want to Anakin. we can take a break.” Mara suggested as she stopped Ben from chewing on her clothes yet again, having finished with his sweet.
“That’s fine, Aunt Mara. I’m okay, really.” Anakin said, shrugging off the voice once more. “In the back of my mind, while all this was going on…there was a voice. A voice filled with hate and dark power, a voice I came to know quite well, telling me that all I had to do to be free was give in to the pain, to hate those who caused me to feel pain… After a short while, Riina, who you all met quite recently, came and collected me. I mistook her for Tahiri as I had seen her in my vision, at first. I later came to realize that it was Riina herself who the vision was about. She took me to a ship called the Widowmaker, somewhere deep in the Tingel arm. There were Imperial type guards there but they wore living armour kind of like what the Yuuzhan Vong wear. It was there, on the Widowmaker that I learned why everything had gone the way it had.” Anakin stopped to catch his breath and found a glass of water being pushed into his hand by Jaina who had gotten out of her seat next to Jag. “You don’t seem like you’re finished yet, little brother and you might want to give us time to absorb all this...” Jaina joked as Anakin thanked her for the water. Anakin smiled grimly and set the glass down on the table. “You have no idea, Jaya. Before I do continue, I’d like to know why you look so thoughtful, Uncle Luke?” Lukes’ head shot up as Anakin directed the conversation toward him. “I was simply wondering how the Widowmaker got out that far, that’s all. We’ve been looking for her for quite a while. Also, I’m beginning to wonder why your captor would take it.” Luke said, Anakin shrugged,
“Who knows? For a time, I was kept completely in the dark. In a cramped little cell with yet another ysalimiri to comfort me. Riina brought me my meals, perhaps my captor thought that a familiar face would calm me down. Didn’t quite work that way.” Anakin said. “Then, after a few weeks on board I saw HIM for the first time.”
“Him?” Jacen asked.
“My captor. The one who set all this in motion. The Sith lord, Naga Sadow.” The room went into a silent uproar at Anakins answer, many mouths hanging open, trying to digest the information that they had been given.
“Anakin, that Sith lord died, he ceased to exist a long time ago. Freedon Nadd defeated his spirit and took what power he could for himself. Naga Sadow is gone. Luke said. “Whoever held you captive is just using his name.” Anakin shook his head vehemently at his Uncles’ suggestion. “Naga Sadow is dead, I’ll agree with you there, but you should know by now Uncle…Death is only the beginning for one who uses the force. He cannot be killed, no. What he has become is a being of the force itself. From the time he was defeated he has controlled all that has occurred in this galaxy, from the Freedon Nadd uprisings to The second Sith war, the Empire, the Yuuzhan Vong, all of it has been done by him!” Anakin finished, exhausted from his tirade. “Perhaps it is best if we all take a break. This is a lot to digest, Anakin.” Mara said, concerned. Anakin nodded, too tired to argue and made to get up and leave when a familiar cold wind blew through the room… “Oh no” Anakin said just before Naga Sadow materialised in the room. “WELL, WELL. A JEDI PARTY NO LESS. AM I PROOF ENOUGH MASTER SKYWALKER? OR PERHAPS A DEMONSTRATION IS NEEDED, YES?” Naga sadow lifted his hand and a decrepit building across the street was flung into the air before being broken into huge chunks and getting dropped into the street below. “AH…ANAKIN. YOU WASTE YOUR TIME PREPARING THEM, MY YOUNG FRIEND.” Sadow said as Anakin slowly let his hand drift to his lightsaber. “You’re…”
“FLESH? YES…FOR NOW, IT WILL SUIT MY PURPOSES. I WOULDN’T DO THAT IF I WERE YOU MY BOY…IT WOULD BE HAZARDOUS TO YOU HEALTH AND ALSO THEIRS...IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR RIINA BY THE WAY, SHE’S NOT HERE.” Naga said as Anakin looked through the force for Riina. Tahiri and Jacen too were looking, though they were searching with their Vongsense. “I SENT MY APPRENTICE ON A SMALL ERRAND FOR ME. I HAVE LITTLE DOUBT THAT YOU WILL MEET AGAIN QUITE SOON…” Naga stopped in his tracks as, for the first time, he noticed Tahiri standing behind Anakin. luckily for the Sith lord, not a person in the room noticed his moment of wariness at Tahiris’ presence or of the item hanging around her throat. Moving faster than anyone could see, Naga grabbed Luke by the throat and lifted him off the ground. “IN THREE DAYS TIME, YOU AND I, MASTER SKYWALKER, WILL DUEL DOWN IN THE STREET MY APPRENTICE MET YOU. IF YOU REFUSE, IF YOU SEND SOMEONE ELSE, THEN I WILL DESTROY CORUSCANT AND ALL LIFE INHABITING IT.” Naga sadow dropped Luke to who sank to his knees coughing and sputtering. The entire room froze as sadow turned to Anakin… “YOU SHALL COME AS WELL ANAKIN. YOU MAY FIND WHAT I HAVE IN STORE…ENTERTAINING.SEE YOU SOON.” Sadow said and smiled in a twisted mockery of a grin before vanishing in a cloud of darkness. “I’d say, you’re all in quite a bit of trouble this time.” a familiar voice said. The room was suddenly lit by a bluish glow as Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan stepped into the room………

PART EIGHT
The entire room stood gaping at both the spectacle of Luke Skywalker on his knees and the presence of two dead Jedi in the room. “It would seem that we still know how to make an entrance Anakin.” Obi Wan said, taking in the scenery of the room gawking at them, as Anakin Skywalker moved over to his son. The entire room was a mixture of gasps and awed silence. “Father? Ben?” Luke asked.
“Yes my son, we are here… Oh, Luke. What have you gotten yourself into?” the elder Anakin sighed before looking over to the grandson bearing his name. “I’m glad to see that you are safe, Anakin.” Luke looked at his father confused as he got up off the floor and sat back down next to his wife who was badly shaken by the meeting with Naga Sadow. “Father, not that I’m not glad to see you and Ben but why and more importantly how are you here? The last time I saw you, you said you could not contact me like this anymore.” Anakin grinned grimly as did Obi Wan who glanced over at Tahiri momentarily, eyeing the pendant around her neck. “Well, as you can see, my son, certain developments have occurred or should I say have been occurring for the past five thousand or so years now. We can appear to you again as the force has allowed us to do so.” Anakin paused here, noticing Obi Wan glancing over at Tahiri. “Naga Sadow has broken certain rules in the force and to balance it all out, we are allowed to bend certain rules, such as visiting you to bring you news.”
“News?” Luke asked, looking puzzled.
“I think it best if only yourself and your family, along with the elder Jedi attend this conversation.” Obi Wan said. Luke nodded reluctantly and understanding, those who were not family or had been among the New Jedi Order filed quietly out of the room.
“I think I’ll go as well. You all will probably want to catch up and Anakin can fill me in on the details later.” Tahiri said.
“I don’t think that will do at all, Miss Veila. Firstly my daughter over here, as well as the rest of my family, immediate and otherwise, see you as part of it and secondly, apart from Naga sadow, YOU are the person that this conversation is all about.”
Tahiri stared dumbstruck at the pair of ghost Jedi before stuttering and managing to speak, “Me?” Tahiri asked. Obi Wan sighed quietly,
“You may want to take a seat for this, Tahiri.” Obi Wan said gently as those who hadn’t had seats when the meeting began, sat down. Jaina and Jacen sat side by side, their love interests, realised or not as in Jacens’ case hade made their excuses and left. Corran had stayed as well as had the rest of the Skywalker/Solo clan. Little Ben had crawled out of his mothers arms during the confusion and sat, staring at his grandfather. “Hello.” Anakin told his youngest grandson. “He’s an inquisitive boy isn’t he?” Anakin said, absentmindedly.
“He umm, takes after his father.” Mara said, “Could we please discuss what in the force is going on? I’d like to know just why a seemingly long dead Sith lord is challenging my husband to a duel and threatening to blow the planet up if he doesn’t show up!” Mara started becoming angry, causing Ben to pout and move back towards her to try and find out just why his mother was shouting. “I have no idea why he wants to duel Luke. I and the other Jedi will do everything we can to prevent it from happening, but you had better believe that if we cannot prevent this duel and Luke doesn’t show up with Anakin, then you can kiss Coruscant goodbye.”
“I don’t want Anakin anywhere near that…thing.” Leia said in a quiet, timid voice.
“I’m afraid that there may be no choice, Leia. If this duel goes ahead, then they must both be present as Naga Sadow requested.” Tahiri tightened her grip on her Anakins’ arm, having sat next to him.
“I have my reservations about fighting something like that, but I will if I must, Father. I did manage to face you, after all.” Luke said with a slight smirk. Anakin nodded at his sons’ comments with a slight amount of pride. “That you did. I must warn you Luke, the form you saw is not his true one.” Anakin said and then allowed Obi Wan to continue as he again caught his youngest grandsons attention “He, uhh, likes attention.” Jaina said, nervously, unsure of how to act in front of the man who was both Darth Vader and her grandfather “Guess he’s normal for a baby then.” Anakin said, then smiled. Ben responded by letting out a ear splitting wail at not being talked to. Obi Wan smiled at the spectacle being created by his friend and former apprentice and continued where Anakin had left off. “Naga Sadow is of pure Sith blood and in aeons past, his race resembled insectile beasts of massive strength, both physically and in the force. Do not underestimate his powers, Luke. Or suffer the fate of countless billions, you will. Hopefully, you won’t be fighting to the death, should the duel go ahead. We hope that you can merely stall for time while we try to figure out how to make the one thing he fears work.” Luke looked thoughtfully over the table, at Tahiri. “He fears Tahiri?” Luke asked.
“Hates her is more like it.” Anakin Solo said and continued as his grandfather and Obi Wan listened. “When I was held captive by him, I’d hear him telling Riina to get rid of Tahiri at all costs. But I don’t know why. Maybe it was just to try to turn me to his side.”
“Perhaps. What I am about to tell you all will throw that theory right out the window, however, Anakin.” Anakin Skywalker said, turning to face Tahiri. “Tahiri. Do you know anything about your parents?”
“I know that they were moisture farmers and that they were very strong in the force. That’s about it, really.” Tahiri answered.
“Exactly what has this all that’s gone on got to do with Tahiris’ family?” Kyp asked, having also stayed. “I would have gotten to that in due time, master Durron, had you stayed quiet. What I will tell you soon ties in with an old…friend, shall we say, of yours.” Anakin turned back to Tahiri who looked more confused than anyone had ever seen her.
“Obi Wan? You want to take a shot at this?”
“Not particularly, but if I must…I have to admit, I was always quite good at storytelling.” Obi Wan took Anakins’ position and faced Tahiri. “Well, I suppose that like all jobs, we should start at the beginning of the mess. Five thousand years ago, the Sith lord, Marka Ragnos, died. His death led to a rift being created by two warring Sith factions, of which, Naga Sadow was one. This angered Ragnos’s spirit and he told the two warring factions that this would not serve the Sith. They didn’t listen. A thousand years before the old republic and also a few years more before the clone wars, a powerful, young Jedi named Exar Kun fell to the darkside.” At Obi Wans’ mention of his old nemesis, Kyp let out an audible gasp, as did Corran, though he guarded his much better. “Are you comprehending the facts yet, master Durron?” Obi Wan said. “Now then, where was I? Ah yes. Well, after a while, Kun met up with yet another young Jedi who had fallen to the darkside trying to destroy a faction from within.”
“Ulic Qel-Droma.” Jacen said under his breath, though everyone in the room heard him. “I see you know your history.” Obi Wan said smiling.
“Tionne, schooled me in Jedi history. She’s our historian. I found pretty much every subject interesting.” Jacen replied, sheepishly.
“You’re right. The other young Jedi was Ulic Qel-Droma. On Yavin 4, the two clashed high atop a mountain, under which was the tomb of Marka Ragnos…” Obi Wan paused, allowing the information to sink in. “Marka Ragnos rose from his slumber once more to stop the fighting of the two. When he saw them he paused and the two stopped their battle long enough for the ancient Sith to reach out and proclaim Exar Kun the new Lord of the Sith and Ulic his apprentice. The galaxy was then plunged into a darkness the likes of which have never been seen again to the mercy of the force.”
“I know that you need to explain everything, master Kenobi, but with all due respect, could you get to the point? I’m getting kind of nervous.” Tahiri stated causing Anakin Skywalker to burst out laughing. “Told you didn’t she, old man?” Obi Wan shot a `I’m older and wiser so shut up` glare Anakin’s way before retorting, “Well, since I’m SO old, you tell her the rest.” Obi Wan finished, smirking. Anakin Skywalker grimaced, “Fine.” He said and walked over to Tahiri, leaving Ben wondering why he wasn’t the centre of attention anymore. “Okay, the short, SHORT! Version. Ulic had friends. Very close friends in the form of Nomi Sunrider, possibly one of the gretest Jedi of her time and no doubt you learned of her from your Jedi history lessons. Nomi tried to get Ulic away from the darkside, failed, Ulic killed his own brother, Nomi stripped him of the force and after Kun was defeated, thanks in part to Ulic telling them to go to Yavin 4, Ulic went into hiding.” Anakin paused, “Got all that so far?” Tahiri nodded while Luke and also Leia tried to hide the smiles forming on their faces. “Okay…uh, were was I? oh yes. Nomis’ daughter from her previous marriage sought to find Ulic and have him train her. She found him and he did agree to train her. After a time, Nomi went looking for her wayward daughter and found her along with Ulic. They stayed so that Nomis’ daughter could continue her training.”
“That’s all well and good father, but we know all about this, from the holocron I have.” Luke said as his father finished.
“Yes, but unfortunately, what the holocron doesn’t mention is that Ulic and Nomi fell in love all over again. It probably says that Ulic died defending her and her daughter and became one with the force, proving that at heart he was still a Jedi. What the blasted thing will not say is that Nomi had another child and she gave it away in secret, not wanting it to experience the pain she and her daughter had. The child grew up on Tatooine with a foster family and six generations later, we find one Tryst Veila. Tahiris’ father.
The entire room stared at Anakin Skywalker, open mouthed as he finished. Tahiri stared blankly towards the table. “Tahiri?” Anakin Solo asked, putting his hand on her arm. “Tahiri, you are the last living descendant of Nomi Sunrider and Ulic Qel-Droma.”
The entire room watched Tahiri, waiting for her reaction. After a little while, Ben decided that everything was too quiet and let out an ear splitting yell. “Ben!” Mara cried, scooping her son up. “Shhh!” Ben stopped yelling as his mum picked him up and began pointing at Tahiri. Tahiri looked up from the table, smiling at Bens antics, “Okay.” She said.
“Okay?” Anakin Skywalker asked.
“I just needed to absorb the information. I’m fine. Thank you for telling me, it’s nice to be able to know where I came from, but I don’t see where I fit into the plans of a psychotic, five thousand year old Sith lord!” Tahiri exclaimed.
“I think I do.” Kyp said suddenly. “Naga Sadow was not chosen by Marka Ragnos to be the Lord of the Sith, if I remember my history. Ulic WAS chosen to be a Sith-right after Kun.”
“So, What? Because I’m the descendant of someone chosen to be a Sith lord, by the previous one, he’s going to try to kill me?” Tahiri asked, confused.
“Maybe. Jealousy can be an ugly emotion, you know.” Jaina said.
“She’s right. It’s not just that though Tahiri. It also has to do with your Yuuzhan Vong shaping. Due to whatever terrible thing they did to you, you were forced to meld two personalities, one DARK, one LIGHT, into one being. Your light side and dark side personalities are one. You should theoretically be able to use the techniques of both sides of the force.” Anakin Skywalker said.
The room remained silent. The revelations that were being revealed to the occupants of the room had shocked everyone. “So Tahiri can’t fall to the dark side?” Han asked, as confused as many others in the room. “Yes and No.” Obi Wan answered him. “Tahiri can choose to be whatever she wishes, but that is not to say that using dark side powers only will not influence her in some way, she may be able to resist for far longer than most would, but if she doesn’t tap the light side inherent in her, then she could fall like any other.”
“I didn’t ask for all this. Knowing where you come from is fine, but being told that you can and probably will use dark side powers is a whole other thing! I don’t want to risk falling like my ancestor did.” Tahiri said, the whole world suddenly feeling too crowded for her. “You won’t fall. Your too strong for that, you could have fallen easily when Anakin died, but you didn’t. You’re stronger than you think Tahiri.” Jaina said, giving her friend the credit she was due after working through her depression that had nearly resulted in her death. “That trinket you wear, miss Veila. where did you get it?” Obi Wan asked.
“We got it for her birthday, it caught our eye, we thought that it’d suit her. Instead of her wearing the medallion of a false Yuuzhan Vong god.” Han said, being careful to use the whole Yuuzhan Vong name in Tahiris presence. “You are aware that it’s the symbol of the ancient Sith aren’t you?” Han and Leia looked shocked, Tahiri made to quickly take off the pendant but was stopped by Anakin Skywalker. “That pendant may be the only thing stopping him from killing everyone on this planet. That thing, as well as you, is why we are here. We need you and my slightly suicidal grandchild sitting next to you to figure out how to use it, what it does, and we need you to do it fast.” Anakin and Tahiri looked pensive, like the weight of the galaxy had just been placed upon their shoulders. For Anakin, this was a pretty normal feeling, having blamed himself for so much during the Yuuzhan Vong war, he had taken on many burdens, for Tahiri however, this was a whole new sensation, one she wasn’t too sure she liked… “Slightly suicidal?” Anakin asked his grandfather.
“Well, taking on over thirty fully armed warriors who can’t really be felt in the force when you’ve been bleeding internally and externally for hours, you’ve got a ruptured spleen and poison in your system…I’d call that suicidal. Even if the full power of the force was behind me.” This comment earned a betrayed, hurt look from Anakin, a `he’ll never listen` look from Tahiri and bemused looks from the rest of the room while Obi Wan struggled to keep from laughing.
“Master. I have located my objective. She resisted me so I captured her. She is undamaged. I am bringing her to you now. She will serve you or die.”
Riina sent a telepathic message to her master as she dove in and out of the asteroid field in her coralskipper.
The room where Luke had called the Jedi together had finally emptied. Only he, Mara and Ben remained. Jaina had gone off to find Jag, Jacen had left to get something to eat and Anakin and Tahiri had left together while Corran had gone with Han for “Something to drink”. Leia had left, opting for an early night in, the day having taken its toll. “You okay?” Luke asked his wife as she stood, looking out of the window while letting Ben crawl about on the floor, oblivious to the danger from the stars above. “That is a dumb question Luke.” How can I be okay when you have to duel some ancient evil and I can’t be there to help!?” Luke wrapped his arms around her, comforting her. “I’ll be fine. Anakin will be with me and my father and Obi Wan are going to do all they can.” Mara looked up at him from their embrace.
“I don’t want to lose you, farm-boy.” Mara said with a tearful grin.
“You won’t. Everything will be fine, you’ll see. The force will guide me.”
Luke paused suddenly, preparing to say something else when he felt a gentle tug at his leg. “You want up?” He asked his son to which Ben nodded a resounding yes. “Look after your mum while I’m away, okay? I won’t be gone long” Luke whispered quietly, Ben nodded sleepily, or had he? Luke wondered if his son had really understood him as Ben laid his head against his fathers shoulder and slept.
“Take care, Luke.”
Obi Wan called out to him as he returned to the force.
“Wow.” Jag said after Jaina had relayed the entire events of the night to him. “Umm…Wow. That sure is a lot to take in at once.”
“I know. Imagine how Tahiri must feel, finding out that you’re the descendent of some great Jedi. It must be hard.” Jaina said.
“Well, not too hard, I should imagine. You, your mum, uncle and siblings have taken it quite well.” Anakin Skywalker said as he emerged in the room.
“Jagged Fel sir. A pleasure to meet you.” Jag felt obligated to say something, even if it sounded forced.
“I doubt that. Still, thank you. I merely wanted to say hello and goodbye to my grand-daughter.” Anakin said.
“You’re leaving? Where to?”
“The Widowmaker. I must try, together with Obi Wan, to stop Sadow from initiating this duel. I‘ll come visit you and everyone else when this is sorted out. I’ve already said goodbye to your mother, take care of her. Your brothers too.” Anakin smiled as he began to fade.
“I will, goodbye…grandfather.” After Anakin had left, Jaina turned back to Jag.
“You okay?” he asked. Jaina nodded tearfully, “I’m frightened Jag. My family is in danger again only this time there’s nothing I can do.” Jag wrapped her in a protective hug. “You will be able, when the time comes.”
Anakin and Tahiri were on the roof again, taking in the starry sky. “Your going to ask me if I’m okay again aren’t you? Be warned that if you do, I’m likely to kick you where you really don’t want to be kicked.” Anakin gave Tahiri the Solo trademark shocked look. “I can read you like a book, remember? I may have changed, but on the inside, I think I’m still me.” Anakin smiled.
“Yes. You are.”
“You scared?” Tahiri asked tentatively.
“More than I’ve ever been in my life. I know what he can do Tahiri, this duel is beneath him, I don’t know what’s going to happen.” Tahiri took his arm in hers as a long pause followed Anakins’ confession. After a while, the air started becoming thick with a strange kind of tension. “Hey Anakin?”
“Yeah?”
“Exactly, what are we? Your back and I’m glad, but I’m also confused.”
“About what?”
“About… you know” Tahiri sighed. “When we were sparring, we almost, um…”
Anakin glanced at Tahiri, his uncertainty matching her own and not for the first time. “If you can read me like a book, then you should know how I already feel about you.” Anakin said nervously. “Everything is up to you at this point…” Anakin suddenly found that he couldn’t speak further as Tahiri had taken his face in her hands and pressed her lips against his. “Wow.” Anakin said after a short while. Tahiri grinned, pleased with herself. “ Not that I’m going to complain, Tahiri, but what did I do to deserve that?”
“I said that you’d have to come back for that on Myrkr and you did even if you were a little late.” Tahiri said. “It takes some getting used to, doesn’t it?” Tahiri asked him.
“What does?” Anakin replied, still a bit flustered from the kiss.
“Finding out that someone that you’re related to, once spread terror and pain throughout the galaxy.”
“Well, yeah, but, like my grandfather, Ulic eventually found the light again. All we can do is try to not repeat their mistakes.” Tahiri smiled and nodded, taking his arm and leaning her head onto his shoulder. “Come back when this is over Anakin and you’ll get to find out what I think we are, or should be.” Tahiri said as she drew Anakin into a tight embrace.
“Scared kid? Han Solo asked Luke as he walked up to him in the corridor.”
“For once… terrified. I have no idea how I’m supposed to face something like this.” Luke said, confiding in his friend.
“You didn’t exactly know how to shoot down a death star either, Luke. I have to agree with you though, Anakin gets captured by him for an entire year, then Sadow just lets him get away?” Luke nodded.
“I know. Han, this time, we may be in trouble.” Han looked over at his troubled friend as they stopped next to a window and Luke looked up at the stars. Han trailed his view upwards as well and a cold chill ran down his spine.
“I hate to say it kid, but I have a bad feeling about this.”

Shadow Falling REDUX A/T Initially posted 5 years ago, now with ending!!!
PART NINE
The days passed quickly. Anakin spent time practicing katas and technique with Tahiri, whilst Luke spent time with his family or on his own in deep meditation. The rest of Coruscant was scrambling to their ships, preparing to leave the planet, should the worst happen. Meanwhile, Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan had taken a visit to the Widowmaker.
“YOU KNOW THAT I WILL NOT CHANGE MY MIND, JEDI. WHY THEN HAVE YOU COME?” Naga Sadow asked.
“In the hopes of lessening the price of this duel. Surely you can see that destroying Coruscant is foolish.” Obi Wan countered.
“THE HIGHER THE PRICE, THE MORE LIKELY THAT YOUR FRIENDS WILL DO WHAT I WANT.”
“Stop this madness, Sadow. This duel is far beneath you. It has been so since the time when Marka Ragnos still reigned. If you truly wish to face my son, then give him time to prepare. What fun is this game if it is over too quickly?” Anakin said, trying to steer the conversation in his favour.
“AH, LITTLE JEDI. THIS GAME IS ONLY JUST BEGINNING…YOU WILL SEE. NOW LEAVE ME OR I WILL DESTROY YOU. I TIRE OF YOUR BANTER.” Sadow said aggressively. Obi Wan and Anakin sighed as they retreated into the force.
Valin Horn once more found himself in an awkward position, having walked in on Anakin and Tahiri training only to find the pair in an almost intimate engagement. The two pulled away from each other quickly as Valin entered the room. “Hey. Umm…” Valin said as Tahiri this time shot him a glare “I know, I know…I have lousy timing. Anakin, Master Skywalker wants to see you and the rest of us have been ordered to go and pack.” Valin finished. Anakin nodded, squeezed Tahiris’ hand once and walked quickly out of the room. “You okay?” Valin asked Tahiri who stared at the ground, a concerned look covering her face, “Look…uh, I know that I haven’t been that good of a friend to you since what happened on Yavin and all that I can say is I’m sorry. Anakin will be just fine, he’s been in worse situations than this.” Tahiri looked up, a tearful smile crossing her face. “Name one.” Tahiri replied, covering her face with her hand. Valin, unsure of what exactly to do, put his arm around her. “If anyone asks, you can say that I was the one crying.” Tahiri looked up and hit Valin in the arm, though she was smiling. “Thanks.” She said.
“Anytime.”
Anakin walked slowly to his uncles’ house, knowing pretty much what his uncle wanted. On arriving, Anakin found the door opened by his Aunt Mara, who was holding a grinning Ben. “Hi Aunt Mara…why is he grinning like that?” Anakin asked, more than slightly thrown off by Bens’ smile. Mara sighed tiredly, stepping aside to allow Anakin to enter. “He’s managed to pretty much unpack everything I already packed and hide a number of my clothes in force knows which cases.” Anakin tried to hide the smile forming on his face, but couldn’t. “Been terrorizing your mum, huh?”
“Yes, he has.” Luke replied, walking into the living room. “Mara, why don’t I take Ben, I’ve managed to pack a few things so there’s not much left. You take a breather, I’m sure me and Anakin can handle Ben, it’ll be good training for tomorrow.” Luke joked, though his voice seemed hollow “Okay, be good handsome boy and I’ll get you some sweets later.” Mara informed her son as he was handed over to his father, still grinning. Mara exited to her and Lukes’ bedroom. “So.” Luke said as he and Anakin entered the study, “I bet you already know why I asked you here?” Luke questioned.
“Pretty much.” Anakin answered. “You want to know if I can tell you any weaknesses that Sadow has that we may be able to use. He hasn’t got any. He’s one with the force already, so killing him is out. Fighting him with our lightsabers is downright stupid because of his Sith lightsaber which uses force created crystals to form a blade that can cut through lightsabers of lesser power. Unless I’m mistaken, we don’t have force formed crystals in our blades. That being said, he also has roughly five thousand years of experience manipulating the force to his will over us. In short, we’re in a lot of trouble.” Anakin finished, sinking into the seat opposite his uncles’.
“So what your saying is that we can’t fight him. I see. We aren’t making it out of this alive are we?” Luke asked as Ben started crawling on the desk in front of him. “Not unless you suddenly have developed the ability to master the force in all its forms.” Anakin answered. “Look, are we done here? I’m sorry, but if we have to face that thing tomorrow, then I’d like to spend as much time…”
“Tahiri? By all means, go…Anakin? before you do go, that darkside manoeuvre you pulled against Kwaads’ Voxyn?”
“I have no idea about that Uncle Luke. I barely remember doing it at all. Everything seemed to go all fuzzy…sorry.”
“Its fine…off you go, I’ll see you tomorrow I guess.” Luke finished as his nephew left the study calling out to his Aunt Mara a goodbye before leaving. “Well…it looks like your old man is in a spot of bother, Ben. Take care of your mum, I’ll be around in some form, no matter what happens.”
Anakin half ran down the hallway, trying to think of a way out of this mess when he bumped into his brother. “Woah! Hey little brother.” Jacen said, a sad smile on his face. Anakin glanced at either side of his brother. “What?”
“Danni? Tenel Ka?... Alone for once huh? Seems like you’ve been keeping some nice looking company since I’ve been gone.” Anakin joked.
Jacen smiled. “You might say that. Look, Anakin, about Myrkr…I just wanted you to know that…that…that I’m sorry.” At this, Anakin looked puzzled. “I’m your brother…until you died I didn’t really know what that meant. I should have stayed with you, Anakin and died, if necessary, with you, by your side. That was my job as your brother and I failed and I’m sorry.” Anakin shook his head. “I told you to finish the mission. You did. If you hadn’t, then I’d be mad at you. You didn’t fail, Jace.” Jacen smiled,
“All the same, ask me to come with you tomorrow and I’ll be there, no matter what the outcome.” Jacen stated.
“Your willing to fight?”
“For my family and for what is right. I won’t hide behind my indecisions any more.” Jacen said.
“Do me this favour instead. Take care of the others as I asked you to on Myrkr. You did that job well enough last time, better than I ever could.” Anakin replied.
“your not gonna do something stupid and die on us again are you?” Jacen asked.
“And have Tahiri mad at me? I’d rather face a hundred starving Rancors!” Anakin said as he continued off down the corridor.
“He’ll be fine, Han. This Sith could have killed him at any time. You think he will now, just because he’s issued a challenge? I doubt it, there’s something more to this than meets the eye.” Corran said as he sipped Corellian whisky from his glass.
“You might be right. But it’s still my boy out there. I doubt Leia could take losing him again, I know I can’t.” Han replied.
Anakin met Tahiri in her room, where she was packing her things. “Umm…hey.”
“Hey yourself.” Tahiri said with a slight smile. “You coming in or are you just going to stand there?” Tahiri teased. Anakin walked in, allowing the door to close behind him. Before he could say anything, Tahiri had him wrapped in a fierce hug. “You better not die this time, I’ll kill you if you do.” She said jokingly with a broken voice as she let go of him and pressed something metallic into his hand. “I won’t need this. This way a part of me will be there at your side.” She said as Anakin looked down at the lightsaber in his hand. “Thank you. With all the commotion going on, I’ve barely had time to piece one together. Uh…” Tahiri stopped him,
“No goodbyes. It’s bad luck. How about…later?” she said.
“Later then.” Anakin replied before placing his hand to his lips and then waving quickly as he left for his own quarters.
“Late night visit, huh?” Jaina joked as she met Anakin outside the door to his room. Jaina laughed as her little brothers cheeks turned red. “Just wanted to come and see you before I left. I’d wish you luck, but you already have enough of that. Don’t be a hero this time ‘round. See you when you get back Anakin.” Jaina called as she ran off down the corridor.
Anakin entered his quarters slowly, sensing an unfamiliar presence. Nothing appeared to happen so he walked in boldly and turned the lights on by his bed.
“Worried, young Jedi?” a female voice asked. Anakin turned sharply at the sound of her voice to find a very familiar pair of eyes staring at him, eyes that belonged to Tahiri. “Nomi Sunrider?” Anakin asked, bewildered.
“The same.” Nomi giggled slightly. “I just wanted to make sure that my descendant doesn’t have any more unhappiness in her life than she has already received. To this end, I would advise you not to face Naga Sadow but since I know you have no choice, I will say this; he fears my descendant, use this fear to your advantage if you can.”
“You don’t happen to know how to defeat him, do you?” Anakin asked.
“No-one save a being older than he, would. Run from him if you have the chance or surely you will die.” Nomi replied.
“I’m assuming, that since you’re here, then my grandfather and Obi Wan were not able to convince Sadow from this duel?”
“You assume correctly. I must leave now you must rest. I will speak to you and my descendant if you survive.” Nomi said as she faded back into the force. Anakin slumped down onto his bed, his small number of items already packed away and stored aboard his fathers’ ship. Sleep soon took Anakin as exhaustion passed his consciousness into darkness.
Morning saw the remnants of Coruscant scrambling to their ships and taking off, away from the planet. Tearful farewells followed between the Solo/Skywalker family as Luke and Anakin stood with them, waiting for their things to be taken on board and for them to depart. Tahiri hugged Anakin and also Luke before running onto the Falcon. Leia hugged her son and brother before she too, left quickly. Jaina and Jacen took turns at ruffling Anakins’ hair before they too left, Jacen aboard the Falcon and Jaina going aboard Tenel Kas’ ship with Jag and Danni. Corran and Valin had already voiced their farewell and had left early in the morning, taking whoever was awake with them. Han and Mara were the last to leave.
“Hey Kid.” Han said, addressing his son. “I know that you and me have had it rough. But I just wanted you to know, since I didn’t get to tell you before you died, that I’m proud to be your old man. I’m proud of you.” Han said, drawing his son into a tight hug. “Thanks, dad. That means a lot.” Han nodded. “Take care of the other Kid, would ya?” Anakin nodded as his father clapped Luke on the back and walked onto his ship.
“Take care of yourself, farmboy. We’ll be waiting when you get back. Take care of Anakin too.” Mara said as she waved at Anakin before pulling her husband into a kiss. Anakin looked away while Ben, still in Maras’ arms wondered just what was going on. Mara pulled away and ran onto the Millennium Falcon. Anakin and Luke, two generations of Jedi, stood side by side as they watched their family take off.
“Ready?” Luke asked his nephew.
“No. How about you?” Anakin replied.
“As I’ll ever be, I suppose. Come on. We have to get to the street.
Time went by slowly for the two Jedi as they stood waiting in the street. Coruscant time suddenly showed 12 O Clock. “Where is he? I don’t think that I can take much more of this!” Anakin said not noticing that his uncle had his head clasped in his hands. The clock slowly advanced a minute the air growing thick with tension and impatience. Then all hell broke loose as the tension broke and a familiar Snap-hiss was heard, Anakin instinctively vaulted backwards as a green lightsaber lashed out at him with murderous intent……

Shadow Falling REDUX A/T Initially posted 5 years ago, now with ending!!!
PART TEN
“Uncle Luke!?” Anakin screamed as his uncle swung his green blade at him wildly. Anakin dodged each stroke barely and backed away as quickly as he could, out of his Uncles’ range. “An…akin?” Luke croaked out...... “r…un.” Luke barely said. Anakin looked into his uncles’ eyes and saw the seeds of darkness beginning to take root. “Uncle Luke! Fight it!” Anakin shouted above the crescendo of death that was his uncles’ lightsaber. “I can’t… Nor do I want to!” Luke shouted back, the darkness finally taking him completely. “Trusting young fool. Did you think that you would be welcomed home with open arms?” the dark Luke said. “Having spent so much time with a being of the darkside…you cannot be trusted. You must die!” Luke screamed out as he swung yet again at Anakin. Anakin force flipped over his Uncles’ head, igniting Tahiris’ lightsaber on the way. Brilliant blue flashed as the familiar snap-hiss was greeted by Anakins’ ears. Anakin stood facing his own Uncle, ready to battle to the last if need be. “You’d fight your own flesh and blood?” the dark Luke inquired. “Then I was right. You are a traitor.” Anakin flinched inwardly at his uncles’ words but remained stoic on the outside. “Whoever you are…you are NOT my Uncle. My Uncle is a champion of the light. You are nothing more than a shadow of his past.”
“Then you will see exactly what a shadow is capable of, my young friend.”
“Lets dance.” Anakin replied cockily, trying an old grey Jedi technique of verbal combat to try and throw his assailant off guard.
Wind blew dust through the street as the two warriors stood facing each other. The dark form of Luke stood with his arm outstretched, lightsaber pointed at Anakin. Anakin twirled his lightsaber and settled into the Seigan no Kami style that had once been favoured by Obi-Wan in his youth. “He stands in our path. KILL him!” the voice said, distracting Anakin and allowing the shadow Luke his opportunity. Anakin was barely able to block the attack as his possessed uncle rushed in and at the last moment, swung his green blade in a wide arc, away from himself, attempting to decapitate Anakin. Anakin managed to catch the blade at the last second and the street was filled with the angry hum and sparks of the clashing lightsabers. Anakin feignted downwards, causing his uncle to bring his blade down to, before pushing forwards quickly, putting Luke off balance and enabling himself time to jump back and regain his composure. Anakins’ mind suddenly felt very fuzzy as a plethora of voices rushed through his mind, bringing with them techniques he had never seen or had only read about in Jedi archive materials. Anakin managed to focus on one of the voices and shifted his battle posture, so that his blade was in only one hand, held outwards at his side. The shadow of Luke seemed puzzled before a look of recognition dawned on its face. “Vaapaad? Ha ha ha! Now there’s an outdated technique if ever I saw one!”
“You’ve never seen it in action, since my uncle has only read about it.” Anakin countered.
“Neither have you then. For if your uncle didn’t teach it to you, where then, did you learn it?” the dark form of Luke enquired.
“I don’t know. It just…popped in there.” Anakin answered. “Care to find out just how it works?” Anakin said, not giving his opponent time to answer as he rushed forward. The shadow of Luke Skywalker smiled grimly and mimicked Anakin, running to meet him in the middle of the street…
far from Coruscant, the fleet of Coruscant refugees waited in their ships…
“Mara? Are you alright?” Han asked as he and his family sat around the circular table aboard the Millennium Falcon, far from Coruscant.
“No Han, I’m very far from alright. I feel that something terrible has happened on Coruscant and I’m not sure who it has happened to.” Mara answered him.
“I knew we shouldn’t have left! We have to go back!” Han said as he made his way to the cockpit.
“That won’t do any good.” Tahiri said, tears brimming in her eyes. “For all we know, they could be dead and any feeling of contact we have could just be residual images in the force.” Tahiri rubbed her arm across her eyes.
“Even if we did go back. Sadow would make good on his threat and they’d have done this for nothing. We should not interfere with any sacrifice they may be making.” Jacen said. Han nodded, his face turning ashen, knowing deep down, that his son and Tahiri were right.
The vaapaad fighting style had proven effective. The dark Luke had been unable to keep up with all the slashes and quick movements of the technique and had gone on the defensive as a result. Anakin made an extremely fast circular motion with his blade and then flicked his wrist quickly back, taking his uncles’ lightsaber out of his hands. The shadow Skywalker fell to the floor, one hand outstretched as Anakin advanced, his blade held high and with tears in his eyes. “You…you wouldn’t kill your own uncle?” The dark form of Luke said, in Lukes’ own gentle voice. Anakin faltered at the last second of deciding to bring his blade down onto his opponent and was flung backwards, high into the air and losing grip on Tahiris’ lightsaber as a result. The shadow Luke flipped to his feet and at the same time called his own blade to him. The familiar snap-hiss was heard by Anakin before excruciating pain ripped through his sword arm, just below the elbow. The dark Luke had leapt into the air upon catching his lightsaber and had severed Anakins’ right arm! The young Jedi crashed to the ground, rolling in pain, whilst the dark thing that his uncle had become landed perfectly and calmly strolled up to him. “How pitiful. Even utilising such a magnificent technique, you are still powerless. You are as weak and helpless now as you were on Sernpidal, when you lost Chewbacca, or when Daeshara Cor died” Anakin closed his eyes, trying to block out the words and felt himself fading into unconsciousness as something that had been growing for years began to rise to the surface… “Or better yet” the thing continued, “When you couldn’t stop master Ikrit dying and Tahiri being captured and tortured. How pathe…” The hateful thing that Luke Skywalker had become was suddenly silenced as black lightning flung him back forcefully, searing his flesh and sending him crashing onto the hard stone floor of the street. “Shut up! You don’t know anything!” Anakin yelled, his eyes black with hate. Anakin, now on his feet, stood with his left arm outstretched. “Who’s weak now?” Anakin asked maliciously as he let loose another volley of force lightning.
“Anakin! Stop!” a familiar voice shouted. Anakin Skywalker appeared from the force, his blue force shroud shining brightly. “Whatever should I stop for? I’m having far too much fun!” Anakin shouted back at his grandfather.
“Whatever you are now, you are not my grandson.” The chosen one of the force stated calmly as he summoned all his force strength to him and blasted his grandson with a huge telekinetic wave that knocked Anakin out and caused him to land near his unconscious Uncle. “A touch of overkill, don’t you think?” Obi Wan stated as he too appeared. “Hey, whatever works.” Anakin replied, though his countenance was grim.
Hours later…
“Ohhh…my head.” Luke said as he slowly sat up, not noticing his nephew lying a few feet from him. “Easy, my boy. You’ve had quite an eventful day so far.” Anakin said to his son.
“Father? What happened?” Luke asked, puzzled as to why he was half-lying on the floor.
“You were taken over by the darkness that resides in us all. No doubt Sadows work. The beginning to his game, as it were.”
“Anakin!?” Luke said, panicking. “Is he alright?”.
“Look to your side.” Obi Wan said. “He’s hurt, but non the worse for wear.” Luke let out an audible gasp at the sight of his nephew lying unconscious in the dirt, his right arm severed. “Did I?” Luke asked, his voice trembling.
“It wasn’t you. It was what you could have been had you joined Palpatine.” Obi Wan answered. “You must leave here quickly before it all begins again. There is a small ship nearby.” Obi Wan said and pointed in its direction.
“What about Coruscant?” Luke asked, but Obi Wan and his father had disappeared into the force. Luke looked about and used the force to call both his and Tahiris’ lightsabers to him. Luke attached them to his belt before picking up his nephew and running off in the direction Obi Wan had pointed.
“Master?” Riina said through the force, gingerly touching upon her dark masters’ presence.
“THE BOY DID AS I THOUGHT. HIS POTENTIAL IS FAR ABOVE WHAT EVEN I HAD ANTICIPATED. HE WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR SIDE, GIVEN THE RIGHT INCENTIVE…”
Naga Sadow finished and left the mind of his apprentice, allowing her to ponder his words. “What news from our lord? What does the great one command?” a female voice asked from the shadows.
“We have work to do.” Riina replied darkly, a smile forming on her mutilated lips.
Anakin woke slowly to find what remained of his right arm bandaged as well as the many numerous small wounds he had sustained. “Uncle Luke?” Anakin asked slowly.
“Right here. Anakin, are you okay?” Luke replied and moved into view, a small burn covering his cheek and his clothes charred.
“I can’t feel my arm.” Anakin joked. “We’re leaving?”
“My father and Obi Wan told me to. We have to get off Coruscant right now…Anakin, I’m…”
“Don’t worry about it. I can probably get some shaper on Zonama Sekot to clone my arm for me.” Anakin looked his uncle over, “Did I…” Luke shook his head, “It’s okay, you weren’t you and I wasn’t me. Besides, you’re more injured than me.”
I’ll be okay Uncle Luke. Let’s get going, before whatever happened before, happens again.”
Luke nodded, getting up from his nephews side and moving to the cockpit of the small republic ship they had found left in an old hangar that had surprisingly survived the Vong-forming of the world. Numerous vines still covered it, but the entry way had been cut open to allow ship storage. The engines of the small vessel hummed to life as the ship lifted off into space.
A number of hours later, far from Coruscant…
“Surely it should be over by now? We should have heard something, anything!” Mara said, frustrated. Ben meanwhile was easily gaining the attention of Tahiri and Jacen who were watching him play with a small set of bricks. Tahiri opened a small pack of chocolates and offered some to Jacen. Bens eyes lit up and he crawled towards Tahiri, stretching his arms up at her. “Up? You want up Ben?” she asked. Ben nodded, and settled into Tahiris’ arms as she sat back. Ben looked straight at Tahiri and to the pack of chocolates that she had set on the table before planting a small kiss on her cheek. “Aww!” she exclaimed to her shame. Tahiri gave in and popped a piece of chocolate in Bens’ mouth before setting him back on the floor so he could continue playing with his bricks. “I think you’re going to have trouble with that one, Mara. He already knows how to get the ladies to give him what he wants.” Han said wryly.
“Han! Everyone! Get up here!” Leia called from the cockpit. Han, Mara, Jacen and Tahiri scrambled to the cockpit, Jacen scooping up Ben as he went.
“Listen!” Leia said as her family entered the room. The entire fleet listened also, Jaina, Jag, Tenel Ka and Danni aboard their ship, Corran and those who went with him, on their ship and every ship that had left Coruscant tuned in to a single radio frequency.
“Hello?...Mara? Han? Do you read us?” Lukes’ voice was heard over the comm. system. “Luke!” Mara almost shouted down the speaker, “Where have you been!? Are you alright? What happened?” Mara asked frantically.
“Slow down! One question at a time! Anakins’ hurt, but he’ll be okay. I’m a little roughed up too. Something bad happened when we were down there, Mara. I’ll fill you in as soon as we’re aboard. I can see the Falcon now, I’ll be docking soon.” Luke said.
“Coruscant, kid? What about Sadow?” Han asked.
“He never showed. I don’t know what will happen.” Luke finished.
“We see you now, Luke. Start the docking procedure and we’ll be waiting at the entrance hatch.” Leia said.
“How bad…” Tahiri asked.
“His right arm’s gone below the elbow. I bandaged it as best as I could and he’s up and talking at least. I’ll meet you in a few minutes; I’m beginning the docking procedure now.”
Jaina stood numbly clinging to Jag, not sure of what to feel. Her family was safe but hurt and the fate of Coruscant was unknown. Luke jumped into the Falcon and helped Anakin down who was quickly met by his parents and Tahiri, who helped him to the med bay. Anakin lay himself down and found a cool compress being held to his head by Tahiri as his mother un-bandaged his arm to apply a bacta container to it to get rid of infection. “What happened?” Han asked as his son was administered to. Luke looked down at the floor before meeting Hans’ gaze. “We fought. The darkness inherent in our nature was brought to the surface. I cut his arm, he hit me with force lightning. We were not ourselves Han.” Han stared blankly at his friend, not knowing what to say.
“Well kid, I can’t say that I’m happy with the situation, but you’re both alive and that’s what counts.” Han finally said after a moment of tension passed.
The hours went by as a medical droid attached a synthetic arm to Anakin for the time being and Leia contacted Jaina.
“But he’s okay? They’re both okay?” Jaina asked her mother.
“Yes, though Tahiri hasn’t let him out of her sight and your twin has been asking him if he needs anything every ten minutes, a fact that may well be driving Anakin insane. Luke’s okay too, he’s with Mara and Ben right now. I’ll tell him you asked after him and I’ll have Anakin contact you before we all return to Coruscant.” Leia couldn’t see her daughter but knew that she was smiling.
“Thanks, mom. I’ll talk to you later. Send them my love, will you? Bye.” Jaina said as the comm. went silent.
“Anakin Solo! If you think for one minute that I’m letting you out of my sight…” Tahiri said but was cut off by Anakins’ remark,
“…But Tahiri…I need to use the ‘fresher.” He said, causing her to turn a deep shade of red and Jacen to laugh behind her, which was to prove a big mistake as she took a jug of water from near Anakins’ bedside and dumped it over Jacens’ head. “Laugh that off!” Tahiri said as she slumped onto Anakins bed. Jacen wandered off to get a towel.
Anakin exited the ‘fresher only to find Tahiri staring at him. “What?” he asked, bewildered as she got up and walked slowly up to him. “I told you that if you made it back from this then I’d tell you what we were.” Tahiri said.
“Yeah, I do kind of remember you saying that” Anakin said as he moved nearer to her.
“Just one thing first, hero-boy.”
“What?” Anakin asked.
“Could you not make it a habit of dying/nearly dying so that I don’t die from stress? Tahiri said, causing Anakin to laugh as she slowly wrapped her arms around him. The pairs’ faces slowly came closer and closer. whispering, Tahiri spoke, “I hope you’ve figured out my answer.” She said quietly.
“Shhh” Anakin answered before their lips met, the feeling jolting them both as if they’d been pushed with the force. Jacen walked in and noticing the pair in such an intimate way, quickly walked out. Neither Anakin nor Tahiri seemed to register the fact that he had been there at all.
“Well”, thought Jacen as he made his hasty exit, “At least my reflexes aren’t going rusty.”
“Hey Jacen.” Luke called as his oldest nephew entered the room. “Where’s Anakin and Tah…on second thoughts,” Luke said, as he caught a glimpse of Anakin in the force, “Never mind.”
“Well, you two may have been banged up, but at least Coruscant’s safe.” Leia said.
“NOT EXACTLY, MRS SOLO. SINCE YOUR BROTHER DIDN’T WAIT AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO FACE ME…THEN I’M SURE YOU REALISE WHERE I’M GOING WITH THIS? YOU ARE AFTER ALL A POLITICIAN.”
Naga Sadow spoke into the minds of everyone in the refugee fleet, letting them know what had been said between him and Leia.
“IF YOU’LL EXCUSE ME…”
Sadow said as he left.
A dark countenance fell across Coruscant in its entirety. Sadow materialised in his true Sith form on its surface, only to find a small, familiar, green Jedi sitting in front of him.
“Greetings to you, I give. Know your plans I do. Destroy me before you can harm this planet, you must!” Yoda stated in his own unique way to the ancient Sith lord. All was for nought however as Sadow reached out in the force and utilising his knowledge of the ancient Sith magics, banished Yoda back into the force and tore the core from Coruscant and faded back into his force form and flung the core into space at the refugee fleet!
Anakin, Luke and every Jedi screamed in horror as they felt the planet tearing itself asunder. Anakin flung himself to the window of the Falcon, “Noooooo!” Anakin screamed along with every Jedi left, as the many people remaining on Coruscant and on the refugee ships in the path of the planets' core, cried out and were silenced. Tahiri wrapped her arms around Anakin in a fierce protective hug, her eyes wet with tears as the remnants of the new republic gazed in awe and disbelief at the image of a cloud of dust being displayed in their minds of where Coruscant used to be…

Shadow Falling REDUX A/T Initially posted 5 years ago, now with ending!!!
PART ELEVEN
Days passed as the morally vanquished remains of the Coruscant refugee fleet finally arrived at Zonama Sekot, having followed Corran and his ship. The refugees milled around, unsure of what to do, some overcome with grief and despair. Tenel ka, as queen had began organising the troops from her ship into creating makeshift camps for the refugees to sleep in. Numerous others were doing the same, but no-one seemed to have any heart in their work.
“We’ve been beaten, haven’t we? Friend Jacen?” Tenel Ka asked the young man who had come to stand beside her. Jacen remained silent, unwilling to voice his opinion as he watched the workers set up the camps.
“We have been defeated before we could even fight back. How can one face an enemy that can destroy an entire world with a thought?” Jacen paused then looked at her.
“I don’t know. All I know is that once, not that long ago if you think about it, my parents, my family, managed to do it. We will too, even if we’re facing a force being and not a deathstar.” Tenel Ka smiled before moving to help her people set up camp with Jacen following her.
It was night before anybody had realized the amount of time that had elapsed. Some Yuuzhan Vong had shown up and had even began helping the refugees settle in, bringing them food and water, though the refugees were understandably uncomfortable around them. The magister of Sekot had shown up as well and had offered the Jedi a building that had seen little use in which to discuss their business.
Jaina stood outside talking to Jag whilst everyone was getting ready for the morning meeting, by either going to bed or in Anakins’ case, getting dragged off by Tahiri to the shapers to get his arm fixed.
“How are they doing?” Jag asked.
“They’ll be fine, my Uncle got a few bumps and bruises and Anakin, well, he’s tougher than he looks.” Jaina replied.
“What do you think we’ll end up doing? You think we’ll be pulling in every squadron to go after this Sith?”
“I doubt that. Even if we had an entire fleet to go and destroy Sadows’ ship, then we’d still lose. I don’t even know if we can win, at least, not against something that doesn’t play by any rules of combat that I’ve heard about.” Jaina said and shivered from the cold. “Hold me.” She asked and Jag wrapped his arms around her and held her until the sun came up.
“WILL YOU SERVE ME?”
Naga Sadow asked the figure kneeling in front of one of the dark orbs.
The woman looked up at the orb knowing what her fate would be should she choose not to co-operate and making her decision as she did so. “What is thy bidding my master?” Lomi asked, rising at her new masters’ bidding.
“I’m just not that sure Tahiri. Last time I was with a shaper…well, you get the idea, you can’t be telling me that you’re okay going in there!” Anakin said as Tahiri half pushed him into the damutek.
“Welcome Jeedai.” The shaper said as Anakin and Tahiri entered the room. “I am Vua Kwaad, once shamed.”
“A pleasure.” Anakin managed to say. “I apologise, the last time I was with one of your shapers, it didn’t go well for me. She was from domain Kwaad too.” The shaper nodded, understanding Anakins’ apprehension.
“Vua is a strange name for a shaper though, isn’t it? It’s usually a warrior’s name.”
“I was fortunate enough to be able to choose my name, being shamed. Please sit young Jeedai, the creature will mold around you and will help attach your new limb to your body.” Vua Kwaad said. Tahiri led Anakin over to a pod shaped bulge in the centre of the room. Anakin sat down slowly and the creature allowed him to sink into it.
“Put your injured arm on it, Anakin. It’ll help the joining process.” Tahiri motioned with her hand toward the pod-like creature. Anakin still looked unsure as he slowly lay his right arm, what remained of it at least, onto the pod-like being.
“Hey, trust me.” Tahiri said, catching his eyes with her own. “It’ll be fine.” The shaper went over to a black, tubular creature and removing some cells from Anakins’ skin, placed them inside. The creature that Anakin was seated in began releasing endorphins directly into Anakins’ pores and slowly the young Jedi fell asleep.
“This wont hurt him much, will it?” Tahiri asked. For her, pain was a necessity, though it was one she did not wish on anyone she cared for.
“This will not hurt him at all. I am almost done creating the new limb and will be placing it on the Synapse pod soon. The joining shouldn’t take that long, you may rest over in the spare bunk if you are tired. I expect that it will be morning soon. I will wake you when we are done” The shaper said kindly. Tahiri nodded, thanking Vua Kwaad before settling down to sleep.
Morning came to Zonama Sekot and those that were Jedi or family to Jedi, filed out from wherever they had been resting, be it a tent or a ship and made their way to the building that had been set out for them. The refugees from Coruscant milled around, trying to regain some normalcy in their lives. The Jedi entered a large oval shaped room, at the centre of which was a large table that could easily seat fifty people. The Jedi sat down as they arrived, Luke stating that they would wait for everyone to be present before they began. Anakin was the last to arrive, along with Tahiri. Anakin looked at the gathered Jedi before holding up his right arm and waving.
“Anakin! your arm!” Leia exclaimed “It’s whole!”
“Yeah, they shaper did a pretty good job. He cloned cells from the wound and grew me a new arm. It’s as good as the old one!” Anakin replied as he and Tahiri sat down.
“Well. I think you all know why we are here.” Luke began. “What happened barely two days ago has shocked us all.”
“You can say that again.” Kyp Durron shot up though murmurs were heard from many others. “Tell me, Master Skywalker, just how do we fight something like that?” Kyp asked calmly, his voice devoid of any malice or cockiness. “You and Anakin should be commended for your bravery in going to face him, but he didn’t even show up and we saw Coruscant destroyed!” Kyp finished.
“Your right.” Anakin said, causing a number of gasps to go up from the people in the room. Tahiri too looked at Anakin in confusion. “We cannot fight him like we would any other enemy, he doesn’t play by any rules of combat that we know. For whatever reason, he played me and Uncle Luke against each other. I don’t think he had any intention of sparing Coruscant.” Anakin finished. A long pause followed…
“Then what are we supposed to do?” Alema Rar asked, breaking the tense moment. “Should we just wait around for him to kill us all? Anyone knows that the best defense is a good offense, we MUST take the fight to him!” she finished.
“Exactly how do you expect us to attack a Sith lord capable of destroying an entire fleet with a thought?” Tahiri asked venomously, “In the ancient history annals, he is recorded to have tore the cores from two stars, causing the immediate destruction of the star system and using the cores to wipe out the fleet of his enemy! After seeing what he did to Coruscant using the force, you want to take him head on at his base!? Are you space happy!?” Tahiri finished, causing Alema to sit back into her seat and glare viciously at Tahiri whilst the entire room sat in tension, the girls’ argument having voiced the opinions on both sides of the new Jedi order.
“Well, I just have all the luck don’t I? walking in on a catfight and all…I must be losing my touch, I usually was able to make a good entrance.” Anakin Skywalker said as he entered the room followed by Obi Wan who just looked extremely confused, shaking his head.
“Father! You are most welcome!” Luke said, standing up.
“I wanted to thank you for saving us on Coruscant, grandfather.” Anakin Solo said.
“What are grandparents for if not to get you out of trouble? Exactly what do you remember though?” Anakin asked his grandson.
“Not much, I was fighting Uncle Luke, lost my arm, then…nothing. I was on the ship and then we left Coruscant.” Anakin Skywalker nodded, though the look on his face was grim.
“That’s okay. I was just wondering that’s all.” Anakin finished.
“You may have been pondering the thought that Sadow had no intention of sparing Coruscant.” Obi Wan half-asked. “You’d be right in that assumption.”
“Why would he blow up Coruscant? Aside from the de-moralization factor that is.” Jacen asked.
“It all has to do with that trinket around Tahiris’ neck. We only recently found out what it is due to an unexpected benefactor approaching us.”
“Unexpected benefactor? I’ve met a lot of those in my time.” Corran said.
“Yes, well, I doubt the people you met were once the most powerful Sith lord in the galaxy.” Obi Wan countered, a statement which caused many jaws to drop, including Lukes’ own.
“A Sith? Who.” Luke asked.
“One who has as much to gain from Sadows defeat as we do. Marka Ragnos himself.” At his fathers’ statement, Lukes’ eyebrows shot up and an audible gasp was heard from the Jedi historian Tionne.
“Sadow gets destroyed, Ragnos gets freed from the darkside at last.” Anakin Skywalker said.
“So what does Tahiris’ necklace do?” Anakin Solo asked.
“Ragnos said that it was a key. You see, long ago, back when there were no distinctions between Jedi and Sith even, when there were only those who used the force and those who served it, the two sides that existed created a great library to house all the knowledge that they gained from the force. It was during this time, in this library that the greatest force user, Okito Krinsse, a being said to have been more than the sum of his parts, completely created by the force. In the library he placed the prophecy of the coming and also destruction of a true master of the force by another and the twilight of the galaxy as a result.” Anakin paused to catch his breath and then decided to let Obi Wan carry on.
“It is this prophecy that we believe, Sadow is afraid of. If he is the force master spoken of, then the prophecy may well tell of how to defeat him.” Obi Wan paused for a moment, trying to word his next sentence before he spoke.
“Is that why he destroyed Coruscant? Because the library was there?” Jaina asked.
“Yes… and No. The library of knowledge was the cause of the first great divide between darkside and lightside users. The darkside users managed to copy all the information in the library and built a complete copy on Coruscant. The original Library was moved to a planet ancient when the first force users were young. This knowledge is only privy to the true Sith lords, they having become the dominant species in the order of the darkside. Therefore, as someone not chosen to truly bear this rank, Naga Sadow would not know this information. It was and still is being kept from him, to this very day. Even now we are protected from his gaze by the ancient Sith. He must not find the library of the ancients, he must not attain the knowledge within.”
“Why not? What is in there that he doesn’t already know?” Anakin Solo asked.
“If Sadow were to find the library, then he would learn how to avoid his own demise, assuming that he is the force master that should be destroyed spoken of in the prophecy. Marka Ragnos himself entered the library on Coruscant, using the key that hangs about Tahiris’ neck. The key should in theory work on the original library, since the second was a perfect copy. Ragnos told us that the prophecy alludes to the coming of a second master of the force. Possibly Okito Krinsse himself. You MUST find the library before he does. You must destroy him, or the galaxy will be covered in a second darkness from which it will never recover.” Obi Wan finished and the room once more lapsed into an awkward silence.
“Is there any hope?” Tahiri asked, breaking the tension and looking at Obi Wan and Anakin Skywalker.
“That you’ll survive and find the library before Sadow?” Obi Wan replied. “There isn’t really much hope, no. Just a fool’s hope.” Obi Wan said causing Anakin Skywalker to grin.
Tahiri smiled and nodded. “Good enough for me. This galaxy had to rely on the hope of fools once. It can do so again. I don’t know what everyone here is going to do, but I intend to find this library of knowledge and defeat this Sith lord as my ancestors did a millennia ago. I swear it as a promise of izai to you that I will do everything, die, if necessary, in order to find what Sadow fears and use it to defeat him.” Tahiri proclaimed fiercely causing the the two dead Jedi to smile.
“Master Ikrit, was right about you, Miss Veila. Though I see he was misinformed as to the state of your footwear as of late.” Anakin Skywalker said.
“You will not do this alone. I’m with you at least, you know that.” Anakin Solo said, squeezing Tahiris’ hand. “Who else is with us?” Anakin asked and almost immediately, every Jedi and non Jedi in the room stood as one.
“There should only be a small number to go. Sadow needs to feel that the Jedi are mostly all together in one place. He can no-longer sense you as he has previously, the Jedi and also Marka Ragnos have seen to that. He can however sense you as a majority, so you will have to draw his attention away, whilst the others search.” Anakin Skywalker counselled.
“So be it. We cannot face this enemy head on, so we must run. We will request Sekot to make random jumps around the galaxy, making Sadow think we are searching for something as one. The true search party will be elsewhere. A group of nine at the most should be enough, don’t you agree?” Lukes’ father and Obi Wan nodded, while there was no opposition to the plan from Alema or Kyp.
“Let it be done then. Those who are going with Anakin and Tahiri should meet them tomorrow in the Sekotan hangar bay, the magister of Sekot will show you the way should you get lost. May the force be with you.” Luke finished.
“One last thing, Luke. Whoever goes should beware. If Sadow does find them, he can use their darkside against them if they have used it before, as you experienced on Coruscant. Take care; your mother would kill me if you ended up in here with us too soon.” Anakin joked as he faded with Obi Wan back into the force. The room became filled with the bustle of people as they left for their rooms or in most people’s cases, their tents. The noise woke Ben who had managed to sleep through the entire meeting, deciding he was hungry; he let out an almighty cry to his mother who immediately and with as much love as a mother who has had a very long, tiring day could, jammed a bottle of milk in his mouth, silencing him. Ben didn’t seem to mind, he’d gotten what he wanted. The Skywalker/Solo clan filed out after everyone had left, either to their rooms aboard their ships, or for a long walk to ponder their fate.
“They have run to Zonama Sekot, master. That much is certain, but the planet has gone into a jump. It will be difficult to locate them.” Naga Sadow chuckled evilly at Riinas’ words whilst all the while secretly cursing his old, dead master for interfering and making it difficult for him to pinpoint the Jedi when he didn’t know exactly where they were. Turning to his apprentice, he spoke;
. “SO THE JEDI HAVE RUN HAVE THEY. WELL, NO MATTER. LET THEM RUN ALL THEY LIKE, BECAUSE EVERY STEP THEY TAKE BRINGS THEM CLOSER…TO ME.”
Anakin had decided that he couldn’t sleep and had walked a short distance beyond the building where the meeting had taken place earlier this morning. He managed to find the hangar bay, relatively unused, and warmer on the inside, being shielded from the night wind. “This is where Corran must have kept his ship when he came here.” Anakins’ thoughts turned away from these things as he saw of all things, a lambent growing out of the wall. Stripping it of its’ tough, outer shell with a piece of broken glass, as he had with a temporary implant on Yavin four so long ago now, Anakin managed to obtain the small crystal from within, which still maintained its warm glow somewhat. Anakin smiled and pocketed the crystal before moving over to a small workbench in an attempt to find the other parts he sought. Luck was with Anakin, for a number of small power cells littered the table as well as a few older, smaller, now dead lambents that he thought could be used as a secondary focusing lens. After looking around some more, Anakin had acquired all the tools necessary for his task and he sat down at the small workbench, beginning to create a new lightsaber for himself, having given Tahiris’ back.
“Can’t sleep?” Corran asked Tahiri, who stood leaning against the Falcon as he walked past. Tahiri simply shook her head in reply. “Me neither.” Corran said.
“Hey Corran?”
“Yeah?”
“Have you decided what you’re going to do yet?” Corran chuckled.
“Now that’s a surprise. A little while back, if Anakin had returned, you’d have been asking everyone and their ewok where he was.” Corran stopped chuckling and sighed. “In answer to your question, I have no idea what I’m going to do.” Tahiri nodded as if she had expected his answer.
“The old me would have been asking after Anakin, probably hysterically, actually. Do you think it’s a bad thing that he’s back and I’m not?”
“Not What?”
“Going hysterical over where he is.” Tahiri answered.
“No. I think it’s a good thing. You don’t need to know where he is because you know that he can take care of himself. You’re probably thinking to yourself that you want to go find him, but you’re consciously stopping yourself from doing so.” Corran said.
“I do want to go find him right now, but I’m sort of content, just knowing he’s alive and that I’ll see him pretty soon.”
“That’s ‘cause you’ve grown up and you had to do it pretty fast.”
“No, it’s because I was shaped and going insane and I had to become who I am now or die.” Tahiri countered.
“Like I said. You HAD to grow up. What happened to you was terrible and it’s something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Feeling like you’re losing who you are is something I can’t even imagine. In retrospect though, all it did was turn you into the person you’d be at twenty five at the age you are now. At least that’s my take on it, after all that business we went through last year on this planet, after I spent time getting to know the new you.” Corran paused, unsure of how to continue, though he soon did, “You are you, you’re who you’re meant to be because of what you’ve learned and experienced. Not because someone went and messed with your brain. Remember that.” Corran said before continuing off on his walk. Tahiri called after him,
“Thanks Corran” she managed to say before he was out of earshot.
“You worried?” Luke asked Mara.
“For the first time since all this sprang up, I’m only slightly worried. Guess that’s the territory I walked into when I became a mom, huh?” Luke smiled at his wife.
“Well there’s still one person in this galaxy who fears the great Mara Jade, emperors hand. Problem is you’re married to him.” Luke said and darted away from Maras’ arm as she swung for him, putting on a fake mask of rage. “You love me really.”
“I suppose I do, Skywalker.” Mara sighed.
“What happened to Luke?”
“You just got demoted for that earlier remark, be thankful I’m not demoting your sleeping privileges to the Falcons’ dining room!” Mara said, placing Ben in his fathers’ arms and walking slowly out of the room, leaving Luke wondering just how he had lost the conversation so easily.
“Hey! Do I get a rematch? Or should I cut my losses?”
“If I were you kid, I’d cut my losses. She’s your wife. You’ll never win, it’s that simple.” Han Solo said, poking his head into the room.
“I suppose you’d know, Han? You must have lost a fair few, Leia IS a politician after all.” Luke said, smiling wryly.
“I never claimed to have won any at all, Luke. But it’s better to have loved and lost and all that bantha poodoo.” Han finished, smiled at Ben, who was now awake again and left the room.
“What do you think Ben? Is daddy ever going to win?” Luke asked his son whose only answer was to stick his hand in his fathers’ mouth. Luke removed his sons’ hand from his mouth and sighed.
“Perhaps I should have had a daughter.” He said before placing Ben on the floor next to his blocks.
“You think the kids are going to be okay?” Leia asked Han as she sat herself in the co-pilot seat of the Millennium Falcon, next to her husband.
“Yeah, they’ll be fine. I don’t think you mean about the whole Coruscant episode though, you mean, if they decide to go, don’t you?” Leia nodded. “Well, if they do, then at least we know that they’ve been in worse scrapes. They’ll be fine, they aren’t exactly children anymore.” Han finished as his wife got out of her seat and sat in his lap, leaning her head against his shoulder.
“I know. Doesn’t stop me from getting worried though.”
Anakin smiled with pride as he looked at his newly made lightsaber. It was almost midnight and he had worked tirelessly to make it as good as his first lightsaber had ever been. Taking a breath, Anakin closed his eyes as he pressed the activation button and heard the familiar snap-hiss. Opening his eyes he found himself staring at a deep violet blade that seemed so like his old blade but so different too.
“You wanna give that a try out?” Valin Horn said as he ignited his own blade, lighting the Hangar in deep green as a contrast to Anakins’ blade.
“New blade?” Anakin asked.
“I had to replace the crystal in my old one. When I re-ignited it, this colour popped up. Shall we?”
“Lets.” Anakin replied, a feral grin splitting his features. Anakin dropped into the Seigan No-Kamae style, the tip of his blade pointed upwards at his opponents eyes whilst his hands were at navel level. Valin was the first to attack, having adopted no stance. Valins’ green blade swung in horizontally from the left and Anakin swatted it away only to find Valin quickly moving with the parry and bringing his lightsaber back and over his head to attack vertically. Anakin angled his blade towards the floor to meet Valins’ strike and the green blade slid off making a horrendous crashing noise as it did so. Anakin was quick to counter strike and attacked horizontally at Valins’ head, having brought the blade around his head to the other side of his body. Valin ducked and rolled backwards and away from Anakin, out of his range. Valin stood up quickly, smiling and flicked his lightsaber off as Anakin did the same.
“I’d say you lost none of your old skills.” Valin commented, sitting down with Anakin on the floor.
“You’ve improved from what I remember. You’re much faster.” Anakin replied.
“You haven’t changed much from what I remember.”
“Really? I’d thought I would have seemed to, being in the company of those shapers and the Yuuzahn Vong.” Anakin said.
“Yeah, well, you already had a bunch of burdens to deal with before you got shaped so, I’d say there isn’t much they could have done to your brain that you weren’t already doing yourself.”
“That’s not entirely true. They managed to convince me that I was one of them for a while. Master Ikrit kept showing up in my head, telling me I was not who I should be. Anyway, after they took me to Sadow, he pieced me back together, trying to use any hatred towards my captors I may have had, in order to turn me to his side.”
“Well, it obviously didn’t work and whatever changes you think you went through on board his ship, you’re still you.” Valin paused before continuing, “I’ve decided to come along with you and Tahiri, if that’s okay with you.” Anakin smiled,
“That’s fine. From what I see, you’d be an asset to the team. Welcome aboard.” Anakin got up from his seat next to Valin on the floor and stretched.
“I’d better be heading back; I promised Tahiri I’d show her how to play Sabacc. She wants to be able to beat my old man.” Valin laughed and shook his head,
“You two are still the same with each other. Even after you did the resurrection thing.”
“Maybe we are, I don’t really know. I guess I’ll just have to wait and find out if it’s just because she’s glad I’m not dead or…something more.” Anakin finished and walked off towards the Falcon in silence with Valin.

Shadow Falling REDUX A/T Initially posted 5 years ago, now with ending!!!
PART TWELVE
“A CURSE ON MY FORMER MASTER!”
Naga sadow screeched as Lomi and Riina knelt before the dark orb containing him, terrified.
“DUE TO HIS INTERFERENCE, I CAN NO LONGER LOCATE THE JEDI USING THE FORCE, UNLESS I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE!”
Sadow paused in his rage, calming himself and formulating a plan as he did so.
“LOMI. YOU WILL SEARCH THEM OUT. WHEN YOU HAVE FOUND THEM, YOU WILL CONTACT ME. RIINA SHALL REMAIN HERE TO COMPLETE HER TRAINING.”
“By your command.” Lomi stated as she got off her knees and walked calmly to the docking bay.
“You wish for me to finish training? For what? To slay a bunch of Jedi brats?”
The room took on the temperature of a frozen wasteland as the ancient Sith lord glared at his apprentice who cowered in fear.
“My apologies, master. I meant not to question your will. I merely wish to know the purpose behind my training.” Riina finished and gazed at the ground, not daring to meet her masters eyes.
“YOU MUST BE READY TO FACE ALL THE JEDI. YOU HAD TROUBLE WITH THAT QEL-DROMA WHELP, TAHIRI, LAST TIME YOU FACED THEM! MY ANAKIN CLONE WAS DESTROYED AS WELL…NO MATTER THOUGH. WE WILL SOON HAVE AN ARMY WORTHY OF THE SITH!”
Sadow paused, then finally answered Riinas’ question.
“YOUR TRAINING WILL ENSURE THAT YOUNG MASTER SOLO CANNOT SURPRISE YOU WITH ANY TECHNIQUES THAT AREN’T HIS OWN, AS HE DID HIS DEAR UNCLE ON CORUSCANT.”
Riina nodded, ashamed at having fled the battlefield at Coruscant, even at her masters’ bidding…
Han solo sat alone with Anakin in the Millennium Falcon, everyone having left to either set up refugees in more permanent homes, or in Jacens’ case, `helping Tenel Ka unload her ship`. “So…exactly what’s up with you, kid?” Han solo asked his youngest son, who sat across the table from him.
“Huh? What do mean?” Anakin asked in a slurred voice, having only just woken up.
“At a guess, I’d say it’s about Tahiri. You’ve been tiptoeing around her since we got here. The girl practically had to convince you to let her go with you to the shaper who fixed your arm!” Han said. Anakin grimaced and ran a hand through his hair before looking up at his father, now completely alert. Han braced himself, nervous of how this conversation was going to turn out and of any answers and advice he was going to offer.
“I’m kind of in a bind, dad. I don’t know if Tahiri…” Anakin began but broke off, unsure of how to continue the sentence he had written out in his mind, to his father. “I don’t know, whether or not Tahiri wants to be…involved with me because she feels obligated too, or…”
“Whether or not she genuinely wants to. Okay kid, I get it. You don’t know how she feels about you now, in relation to how she felt before all this mess. That about right?” Han asked, hoping he had gotten the general gist of what his son had been trying to tell him.
“Yeah, that’s about it all right.” Anakin said, relieved that he didn’t really have to spell everything out for Han.
“Well, for a start, this isn’t as awkward as I thought it’d be.” Han said causing Anakin to laugh lightly.
“Okay, look. How do you think she feels about you? You ought to know her well enough by now, changes or not.” Anakin paused, giving his father an ` I have no idea look`, before answering. “I am clueless, dad.” Anakin said.
“Okay. Well, the only advice I can really give you, kid, is to go and talk to Tahiri yourself. Figure it out between the two of ya.” Anakin nodded, knowing full well that his father was right.
“Why are ya still here, kid? Get going!” Anakin jumped at the increase in his fathers voice and nodding, rushed out of the Falcon and down the exit ramp. Han shook his head before calling out. “Okay goldenrod, how did I do?” C-3PO poked his head around the corner from where he had been hiding, not wanting to intrude on the conversation. “Well, master Solo, I believe as a father you did very well on what I have been programmed to believe as good advice.”
Anakin didn’t need to do a long search for Tahiri. He simply opened his mind and reached out.
“Hello Anakin. I’m in the hangar where Corrans’ ship is being kept.”
Tahiri told him through the force bond. Anakin summoned the force and used it to dramatically increase his speed as he raced across Zonama Sekot to the hangar where Corran had taken his seed partner ship. Anakin stopped outside the hangar to be greeted with the sight of Tahiri and Valin helping Corran load his ship, Valin with his hands, much like his father, Tahiri with the force, telekinetically picking up and placing objects on the ship. “Hey.” Tahiri greeted Anakin with a smile as she finished loading a small crate onto the ship.
“Hey Anakin!” Valin called, waving to him from across the hangar. Anakin waved back before turning to Tahiri.
“What’s going on?”
“Corran’s going to be coming with us, so he said we could take his ship.” Anakin smiled, pleased that Corran would be with them.
“Hello Anakin. Mind if I tag along this time?” Corran said.
“Not at all. In fact, I was hoping you’d come along. It’ll be good to have someone who knows more than we do.” Corran smiled and walked off to continue prepping the ship for launch.
“Fancy taking a walk?” Anakin said.
“Sure.” Tahiri replied, knowing full well that some kind of serious talk was imminent. The pair walked together out of the hangar and made for a small outcropping of cliffs, where a waterfall, young in the cycle of life, was dropping off.
“So…I can tell you want to talk about something. Tahiri said after a long moment of silence had passed between them. Anakin looked at her, puzzled how she figured him out so easily. “You’ve gone all edgy” she explained. Anakin sighed before looking up at her, his icy gaze meeting her emerald green eyes with a slight static shock. Anakin sat down on a rock facing the small rivers edge they had walked up to. Tahiri sat down next to him and Anakin slowly wrapped his hand around hers.
“I don’t really know how to start.” Anakin told her.
“Well, just blurt it out and if you screw it up then I’ll try to fix it. We’ll do a complete role reversal from when you and me we kids.” Tahiri joked, trying to get Anakin to smile.
“Okay.” Anakin said. “All I really want to know, is just exactly what’s going on between you and me.” Anakin paused, waiting to see if the situation was about to blow up in his face. “You said, that if I made it back from Coruscant, then we’d sort everything out. I get back and you kiss me and now my head’s all screwed up because I’m not sure if you did it because you wanted to, or because you felt obligated too.” Anakin blurted out quickly and then grimaced as Tahiri turned away from him. Anakin suddenly feared an outburst but instead, found Tahiri laughing.
“I’m sorry!” Tahiri said, laughing. “It’s just funny, that’s all.” Tahiri said and quickly continued before Anakin could get past his confused state. “You know, I’m not the kind of girl who’ll kiss just anybody, especially not since all that’s happened to me. Believe me dummy, if I didn’t want to kiss you I wouldn’t have if I felt obligated to or not. You should know that, considering how many close calls we’ve had when we were sparring or just talking.” Tahiri finished, letting a silence filled with questions descend upon them.
“So…I’m being an idiot?” Anakin finally asked after letting Tahiris’ words sink in.
“Yes.” Tahiri said with a smile. “We are both different from what we were before, but I for one would like to give this a shot. The question is; are you willing to see how we turn out?” Tahiri asked.
“For you? Definitely.” Anakin answered and took her hand in his, squeezing it lightly.
Luke sat with Mara at the table where his father and Obi Wan had explained the situation of the library the room had since been fitted with a number of extra tables as well as a buffet for after the meeting. The magister of Sekot also showed up but stood in the corner, maintaining that she wanted to observe silently. The Jedi and a number of dignitaries filed in and took seats until none were left. The Skywalker/Solo clan were all seated together, Ben crawling from one side of the table to the other, trying to get Jaina’s and Tahiri’s attention. When all the Jedi and dignitaries had settled, Luke began the meeting.
“As you all are or have been made aware of the situation, I guess we can get straight to business. You all know now why Coruscant was destroyed. You all know, therefore, that unless we find what the Sith is afraid of, many other planets will face the same fate. We are all united in this endeavour, this one doom. We must stop it if peace is to reign throughout the galaxy once more. To this end, I must ask who will be going with Anakin and Tahiri.” Luke paused, waiting for answers.
“Master Skywalker. Surely, there is a better way. Letting these young Jedi go off in search of a place that may not even exist anymore? We may all die whilst they search the galaxy for what they seek!” a senator from one of the recently freed worlds occupied by the Yuuzhan Vong said.
“Die? Of what? Starvation? There is food enough on Zonama Sekot!” Danni Quee shouted, having lived on the planet, studying it for over a year.
“You forget that there are Yuuzhan Vong here.” The senator said causing Tahiris’ eyes to flash with anger, whilst Anakin took her hand under the table, trying to calm her.
“So that’s what you’re afraid of. The Yuuzhan Vong have given up their old ways, they are striving to make an existence for themselves after being used and manipulated by their ruler. They are no threat anymore, senator Nykosa.” Anakin said, quieting the small talk that had begun in the background.
“The leader of the Vong was in turn being manipulated by the very thing that destroyed Coruscant! what’s to say it won’t happen again?” Senator Nykosa questioned.
“Perhaps you ought to have more faith in others, politician.” Anakin Skywalker said menacingly as he emerged into the room from the force. “Perhaps we should inform the Yuuzhan Vong about how you and a number of your people feel, just in case any discrepancies occur.” Anakin suggested, an evil smirk covering his features. Senator Nykosa cowered back into his seat as the Jedi who was once the most feared man in the galaxy glared at him.
“You certainly have a way with people, grandfather.” Jaina said, having found the whole scene quite amusing as had a number of other Jedi. Luke held his head in his hands whilst Mara covered the smile forming on her face with her own. Leia too had to keep herself from laughing. The senators’ face was a mask of terror.
“Intend to set an example for your youngest grandchild, you do?” Yoda asked, appearing on the table itself and looking questioningly at Anakin Skywalker.
“My apologies master, you know I’ve never had the best of luck with politics.” Anakin replied.
“I thought master Yoda should accompany us this time, Anakin. since we are going with them to find the library and he is the authority on the subject.” Obi Wan said as he too appeared in the room.
“You’re going with them Ben?” Luke asked. “That’s good. At least I for one won’t be worrying as much.” Yoda scuttled to one side as the smaller Ben shuffled up to him, not quite knowing what to make of the venerable yet short Jedi master.
“Inquisitive this one is, hmm?” Yoda asked looking at Luke.
“Yes. That and he loves attention.” Luke replied as his son attempted to grab the bottom of Yodas’ robe, only to find himself falling through the deceased Jedi. Jacen managed to grab his cousin back and received surprisingly very little resistance, Ben being confused as to why he couldn’t grab the small green person. Deciding that his cousin would make a better target, Ben began crawling all over Jacen instead.
“A problem that one will be.” Yoda said, smiling, “Like his father.”
“So, since I trust that no-one else will be butting in…” Anakin Skywalker said, glaring at senator Nykosa, “Just who is going?” The room settled into an eerie silence before answers were heard. “We’ll be going. You don’t think that we’re going to let our little brother out of our sight, do you?” Jaina answered for her and Jacen.
“I will go. I find the appeal of this planet to be somewhat lacking.” Alema Rar said.
“I’m going.” Kyp Durron said. “That is, if you approve master Skywalker?” Luke nodded, pleased that Kyp had asked him.
“I will go too. It does not for a queen to not attempt something she would expect others to do. That is a fact.” Tenel Ka Djo said, gaining displeasing looks from some of her loyal soldiers.
“We’re coming too. You’ll need a ship and since I doubt Han or Mara will be offering up theirs, we can use mine. Sadow won’t know to look for a Sekotan ship. He’ll be looking for the Falcon or a republic ship.” Corran said and Valin nodded.
“So…nine companions.” Luke said after everyone else gave their reasons for staying.
“Nine? What happened to me Obi Wan and Master Yoda!?” Anakin Skywalker shouted.
“You’re dead so you don’t count.” Kyp said.
“Don’t count! I’ll show you what a dead man can do you arrogant young pup!” Anakin started forward but found himself under his daughters own displeased stare.
“We’ll finish this conversation later, master Durron.” Anakin said. The meeting was called to a close and the people gathered split off into groups, going to the buffet set up on the other side of the room.
“Good it is that your arm is mended.” Yoda said to Anakin Solo as he shovelled food into his mouth whilst Tahiri watched, wondering where he put it all. “How feel you?”
Yoda asked.
“Well, what was I supposed to do? Let that idiot prattle on about the dangers of the Yuuzhan Vong!? It was an easy way to get him to shut up quickly!” Anakin Skywalker said.
“There were far more effective ways of getting the man to be quiet, Anakin.” Obi Wan said.
“Yes. We could have let Tahiri jump the table and bludgeon him into silence.” Leia quickly cut in as the pair paused. Both Anakin and Obi Wan looked at Leia, confused.
“She wasn’t too happy about Nykosas’ comments on the Yuuzhan Vong.” She explained.
“Well, at least there’d be one less idiot in the senate then.” Anakin said. “I’ll try to be more subtle. I promise. If only to look good in front of my grandchildren.” Ben had been put down by Jacen after the meeting had officially come to a close. Thinking he wasn’t being watched, he tried scurrying off only to find himself being lifted into the air.
“Just where are you going, kid?” Han asked and received a gap-toothed grin. “Hey Mara? You want me to mind this one? He’s dying to go walkabout. I could take him around, he might drop off then.” Han asked.
“Thanks, Han, that’d be great.” Mara said. Han nodded and walked off, showing Ben off to everyone around the room.
“You’ll be okay without me?” Jaina asked Jag as they sat at a table in one corner of the large room.
“Well, I suppose I’ll miss you, but since you’re a goddess then I suppose you could just listen out for my prayers. Just take care of yourself out there and come back to me here or wherever I happen to be.” Jag answered.
“Smooth talker.” Jaina said as he moved in to kiss her.
“I wish I could go with you.” Danni said to Jacen. “It’s such a rare opportunity, imagine some of the things that you’ll see! Take care of yourself out there, if some dark Jedi turns up, don’t try talking to it, run instead. Diplomacy seldom works with evil, so I’ve heard.” She said, causing Jacen to laugh
“Since you can’t come along, I’ll try to bring you back something.” Jacen replied not noticing that Tenel Ka was watching the whole scene with a murderous glare.
“Me? I feel fine master Yoda. A little in awe of who I’m talking to and of the fact that Tahiri has an extremely prestigious Jedi lineage, but still, fine.” Anakin replied after swallowing his food. “You hungry?” Anakin asked Tahiri. She nodded and before Anakin could do anything, master Yoda had lifted two plates of food from the buffet table to theirs.
“Thank you.” Tahiri said, before eating.
“So, why do you want to know how I’m feeling? Should I be feeling scared or nervous or something?” Anakin asked, confused.
“In wonder of how you are handling your newfound skills, I ask.” Yoda replied. “Not sure how you know the old techniques are you?”
“Not really. I didn’t give much thought to it. I remember some of the battle on Coruscant, it’s still a little hazy, but I know I used something called Vaapaad and it seemed to work pretty well.” Anakin answered.
“An ancient technique is the one you use. By the followers of Okitto Krinsse was it made, after his death.” Yoda said.
“What was made?” Tahiri asked.
“The technique called Spirit form. Allow the user to tap the knowledge of those force users gone before it does. Their permission you must have first or they must choose to help you.”
“So Anakin got help from a dead Jedi?” Tahiri said.
“It doesn’t sound that impossible really. When I was dying in the fight on Myrkr, I could feel the whole energy of the force flowing through me. Through that, I sensed many different things, emotions as well as peoples’ knowledge. Then it passed as I died.” Anakin answered.
“Allow a force user, the technique does, to use the skills of a Jedi if those who are one with the force are called upon and agree to the joining.”
“Joining?” Anakin asked.
“Yes. In the physical body of the one calling, the two combine with each other. Allow this joining does a sharing of power and knowledge. In essence, the two Jedi become one for a time.”
“Wow. Okay, so if I asked my grandfather to spirit bond with me and he said agreed, then I’d basically be able to tap all his knowledge on certain things?” Anakin said. Yoda nodded confirmation. “A ploy, it was, on Sadows’ part, on your use of this ancient technique was he testing you. To destroy Coruscant was always his intention.” Yoda said whilst Anakin nodded having figured it out.
“Inform you of how to correctly perform the technique, I will. Instruct you in it as well, on our quest.” Yoda said before fading back into the force.
“Guess that’s our cue. We’ll talk tomorrow before we all leave, okay Luke?” Anakin Skywalker asked.
“That’s fine father. Goodbye Obi Wan.” Luke called out as the two Jedi faded along with Yoda. “I think it a good idea, that those going to find the ancient library leave to pack and rest now. It will save time tomorrow. You’ll all be leaving when you are all ready.” Luke called out to the crowd. Jacen broke away from his talk with Danni and made to leave but was quickly met by Tenel Ka who left with him. Anakin and Tahiri left together, wishing everyone a good night. Valin had left quite early, as had Alema and Kyp. Jaina had been carried out, sleeping, by Jag, not long ago. The only member of the Jedi who was going but stayed was Corran.
“You sure you don’t want to get an early night in?” Han asked, Ben asleep in his arms at last.
“I’ll be fine. I just wanted you to know, that I intend to take the best of care of them all. Corran said to the Skywalker/Solo clan.
“We know. We wouldn’t expect anything less of you.” Mara said. As a number of dignitaries filed out of the room.
Dark laughter rang throughout the corridors of the Widowmaker as Naga Sadow realized the next phase of his plan. The Widowmaker had come into orbit around Corellia. The planet stood defenceless against an enemy shrouded by the force. The shadows on Correllia seemed to dance and come alive. The footsteps of a marching army were heard throughout every street as Naga Sadow used his knowledge of Sith Magicks to send his army down onto the planet. Tens of thousands of Vader clones poured onto the open streets of Corellia from every shadow. The small contingent of men posted at Centerpoint by Thrackan Sal Solo stood no chance against even one of the clones of Anakin Solo shrouded in the dark living armour that had been grown for them. The forces of the planet didn’t even have time to react or mount a decent defence. In a matter of hours, the entire planet was under the rule of the Sith.
“YOU SEE, MY APPRENTICE, HOW EASILY THIS GALAXY FALLS? CENTERPOINT STATION IS NOW MINE AND WITH THE CLONES OF THE ONE WHO FIRST ACTIVATED IT, IT IS UNDER MY CONTROL! YOUR TRAINING HAS GONE WELL THESE PAST FEW DAYS. SOON YOU WILL BE READY TO CALL UPON THE MOST ANCIENT OF SITH SPIRITS FOR AID IN BATTLE! THE JEDI SHALL BOW TO THEIR NEW MASTER OR DIE…”
Naga Sadow said from one of the dark orbs aboard his ship. His apprentice knelt before him, smiling darkly at the knowledge that soon, her masters’ vision of a galaxy of order would come to be realised and she would play a key role in its creation!
Beings across the galaxy who were not even force sensitive shuddered at an unknown sense of dread. The shadow had begun to fall…

PART THIRTEEN
One week later…
“So, is everybody ready to go?” Luke called to Mara as he tried to feed Ben.
“Yes, they’re just waiting to be sent off I think” Mara called from the bedroom where she was getting dressed.
“Well as soon as I finish feeding Ben, we can go. I hope they aren’t waiting around though.” Luke said. It was at this point in time where Ben pushed his spoon onto the floor, Luke bent down to pick it up not knowing that his son had decided that his breakfast would better be served on his fathers’ head. Luke let out an almighty yell as the hot food landed on his head. Mara peeked around the corner at the sound of Lukes’ scream.
“Oh dear. It looks like we’ll be a bit late, doesn’t it?” she said, looking between her husband and son who seemed quite pleased with himself.
“We all packed?” Corran asked Valin who had finished loading the rest of the supplies on board.
“Looks that way. Now we just need everyone else to get here and we can go.” Valin answered.
“Well, we won’t have to wait long for that, I can see a few of them coming from up here.” Corran said from the top of the boarding ramp. One by one, the remaining members of the group arrived. Anakin and Tahiri were late, causing the other members of the crew to give them questioning looks.
“What? Just because we’re late, you assume…actually I don’t know what you assume. Get your minds out of the Dagobah bog.” Tahiri said before quickly walking aboard with her pack, causing everyone to laugh and direct their gaze to Anakin who flushed crimson.
“I didn’t do it. Whatever you think IT is.” He said quickly.
“Of course you didn’t little brother. We believe you. Problem is, nobody else does and I was being sarcastic when I said we.” Jaina said. Anakin, defeated, looked to the ground.
“If anything had happened, I’d have a grin wider than an Imperial star destroyer on my face.” Anakin mumbled quietly. Alema meanwhile shook her head and pointing, informed Corran that Master Skywalker as well as a number of others were coming.
“So, all ready?” Luke asked.
“As we’ll ever be I guess. We have no idea where to start looking, we have enough food to feed a starving Hutt and we have a semi-omnipotent Sith lord after us.” Corran finished.
“You sound stressed.” Mara said.
“With the lot he’s going with, who wouldn’t be?” Han said coming to stand next to the rest of his family who weren’t about to leave.
“I’ll be fine. It’s those two I’m worried about. My track record whenever even one of them has been with me has been less than fantastic.” Corran said, gesturing towards Anakin and Tahiri who had come back out of the ship, having claimed a room for herself.
“Yes. I see what you mean.” Han said. “Hey kid!” he called to Anakin, “You listen to Corran and do whatever he tells ya to, okay?”
“So, we all just going to stand here?” Jacen eventually said. The would be saviours of the galaxy paired off with respective friends and family to say their goodbyes.
“You leaving too?” Jaina asked Jag.
“Yeah, I need to catch up with the rest of my family, let them know just exactly what’s going on, you know.” Jaina nodded. “Come back safe Jaina. Don’t do anything crazy.”
“The Sith seem bent on destroying my family…but okay. I’ll try to be good.” She said as Jag wrapped her in a hug.
“You take care of yourself, kid. No stunts like the last one, you hear?” Han said as he pulled Anakin into a fierce embrace.
“I won’t dad, I promise. Grandfather will kill me if I do.” Anakin replied.
“Same goes for you Jacen. Though I expect you’ll be getting out of more scrapes than you manage to get into yourself.” Han said, smiling. “Hey, you too old to give the old man a hug?” Han called over to Jaina. Jaina disentangled herself from Jag and walked over to her father, hugging him.
“I’ll be fine dad. No crazy stuff, no looking for trouble and try to keep my temper in check. That about it?” Jaina asked.
“Pretty much. Good luck kiddo. See you when you get back.” Han paused. “As for you, young lady…I expect you to keep this one in line, while taking care of yourself.” Han said to Tahiri before smiling, hugging all four of them and walking off. As he did, he turned and called out “Good Luck!” to the rest of the crew as he left.
“Don’t worry about your father. You know him, he’s just not good with goodbyes, that’s all.” Leia said as she wrapped all three, or was it four now? of her children in a tight hold, something she hadn’t been able to do in far too long a time. After Letting go, Leia stepped back to stand alongside Mara who held a wriggling Ben.
“Anakin?”
“Yeah Aunt Mara?”
“No funny stuff. Your funeral nearly finished us all last time.” Mara said, trying to look stern. “Same goes for the rest of you too.” Jaina and Jacen merely smiled and nodded whilst Tahiri answered directly with a slight nod,
“Yes master Skywalker.”
“Tahiri? Your part of this family now. If you don’t at least call me Mara, I will be most displeased.” Mara said, putting on her emperors hand face.
“Yes mast…Mara.” Tahiri answered.
Ben, deciding that the mood at the moment was not to his liking, attempted to get out of his mothers’ arms as quick as possible. He managed to wriggle out of her grip and slid down her legs to her feet, before being quickly picked up by Tahiri and handed back to his mother, his plan for escape foiled. A disgruntled face was all he could muster in reply.
“Well, I’d tell you be careful and don’t do anything rash, but you’re probably sick of that by now. I’ll simply say good luck and come back safe.” Luke said before addressing everyone. “I don’t really know what to say. I’d like to coat everything in frill syrup and tell you that what you’re going to do isn’t going to impact you in any way, but I’d be lying. On the journey that you are about to undertake, you carry with you the freedom and hope of every living being in this galaxy and possibly any others that may exist. You must not give in. you must not falter. We have all pinned our hopes on this one venture and cast it as our coin, onto the wheel of fate. We can only wait now and see if by the will of the force, we can match the machinations of fate and thus defy the tyrannous stars. Good luck and May the force be with you.”
“May the force be with us.” The crew chanted as one before entering Corrans’ ship. The small number that had turned out to send the crew off watched as the Sekotan ship lifted into the air and quickly exited the planet…
“SO…THE PLANET IS MINE?” Naga Sadow asked Riina who stood meekly behind him. The ancient Sith lord had once more taken on form, though this time he had assumed the body that he had originally been born with. An insectile beast stood, cloaked in robes of the darkest colours, the robes seemed to be cloth, though when he moved, the robe seemed to have a life entirely all its own, and Riina wasn’t sure it didn’t. Now and again, the black garb would ripple and shudder and waves of red shades would show. Riina put it down to the exhilaration of conquering a new world.
“The planet is yours, Lord. The populace cower in fear of you and your forces. They so not know the location of the Jeedai, however. Zonama Sekot seems to be shrouded in mystery.” Riina answered her master.
“THEN, FLUSH THEM OUT. USE THEIR SYMPATHY TO OUR GAIN, MY YOUNG APPRENTICE. FIRE THE CENTERPOINT WEAPON. I WILL AMPLIFY ITS EFFECTS WITH MY POWER. DON’T BOTHER WITH CHOOSING A TARGET, SIMPLY TAKE ONE OF THE CLONES AND FIRE.”
“Yes Lord. The Jeedai fools will soon come running to us, begging to die.” Riina said, before walking away, grabbing one of the Vader clones as she did so.
“LOMI.” Sadow spoke and the newest acquisition to his forces appeared as if from the air itself.
“Yes master?”
“GO WITH KWAAD. AFTER YOU HAVE FIRED CENTERPOINT, YOU ARE TO LOCATE THE STRONGEST OF THE CLONES I HAVE CREATED AND TAKE HIM, ALONG WITH RIINA, TO YAVIN FOUR. THERE YOU WILL AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTION.”
“By your command.” Lomi said as she stood and headed off to catch up with Riina.
Lomi and Riina stood, many hours later, with one of the clones who they had deemed, sufficient. His force potential was higher than the others and he seemed more intelligent too. The clone, now dubbed Vader, moved his hand across the panel that controlled Centerpoint station and it slowly hummed to life. The ancient machine rumbled with power and the noise whirred to a crescendo as it prepared to fire. Naga Sadow stood near to the focus of the energy beam, pouring his dark powers into the ancient device, strengthening it immeasurably. Children played innocently in the large expanse of fields surrounding the ancient citadel of Theed, market-goers wandered about the streets as they had done even in the Yuuzahn Vong war and those who had not gone to Coruscant discussed the planets fate, having only just received news. Vader pressed the button to fire. The weapon emitted a burst of energy whos noise thundered across Corellia. Thrackan Sal Solo cowered in the cell he had been thrown into as he realized what was happening as a purple glow coloured the sky. The people of Naboo didn’t have time to scream as the weapon hit home. The crust cracked under the combined power of the laser weapon and Sadows’ Sith magick enhancements. The seas boiled, the sky turned black with dust and the palace was blown to fragments of stone and dust. The children playing in the fields nearby ceased to play. Every Jedi in the galaxy felt the anguish and despair of the ruined planet as the weapon tore into it, smashing, burning and tearing. When all was done, millions lay dead or dying, the planet lay in ruin and the ashes of the fallen and all around could be heard the cold, empty laughter of the most powerful being in the galaxy…
“THAT SHOULD SHAKE THINGS UP”.
Corrans’ ship flew solemnly through space, being in no hurry to go anywhere, the inhabitants of the vessel, having only just begun their journey, had no real idea of where to go.
“Anyone got any Ideas?” Corran asked.
“We could try to find the Aiing Tii monks. They’re pretty old as things in this galaxy go, they should know where we could start.” Tahiri offered.
“Good thinking.”
“Corran. We could try to search Yavin Four. There are a number of secrets still buried there.” Kyp said.
“No Kyp. I would not go to Yavin Four again unless I had no other choice.” Corran stated. A short while passed, Jacen meditated, Anakin taught Tahiri a few variants on how to play sabaac, Valin practised some lightsaber techniques with Alema whilst Tenel Ka ran through a few Katas and Kyp conversed quietly with Jaina. Then they all felt it. A sharp stabbing pain of despair and emptiness and then laughter. An image of Centerpoint flashed into each of their minds, causing Anakin to drop the cards he was holding. Tahiri rushed over to him, holding him as he knelt, breathing heavily.
“Anakin! What’s wrong?” Jaina asked her younger brother. The others, apart from Tahiri were puzzling out just what planet they had felt being hit, when Yoda and Obi Wan faded in from the force.
“Attacked Naboo, he has. To draw you out, his meaning is. Go there we must not, a trap most assuredly, there will be.” Yoda counselled Corran who sat, amazed that a planet of so little military meaning would be attacked so coldly and sadistically.
“I caused this.” Anakin stated, still kneeling, tears dropping from his eyes to the floor.
“How can you have caused it Anakin? You’re right here!” Jaina said, trying to calm her brother whose breath was now coming in ragged gasps, making him sound a little too much like his grandfather had once.
“It was Centerpoint, Jaya. I activated it once. It needs my DNA code or it won’t work, and Sadow HAS my DNA code!” Anakin paused, trying to breath. “If I hadn’t activated it, then he wouldn’t be able to use it!” Anakin finished and slumped over again. Tahiri, unsure of how to comfort him, simply draped herself across his back as he sobbed, then suddenly stopped, passing out.
“Anakin!?” Tahiri asked.
“He is asleep. I put him into a trance so he could centre himself, so he could calm down. His grandfather is going through something similar at the minute, that’s why he’s not here with us.”
“Maybe we should take him to his quarters.” Jacen said, in his mind sharing his brothers guilt, he too having been at Centerpoint.
A number of hours passed. Corran had consulted with Yoda on the Aiing Tii monks and Yoda had placed himself into a meditative trance to try to locate them. Everyone took turns at watch, though with little enthusiasm. After a time Obi Wan decided that, in order to take everyone’s minds off the earlier events, he would explain a few things to them.
“You all comfortable?” He began, “Now, I am about to discuss with you, the most ancient technique known to Jedi. It is a technique that I myself have never used, nor do I believe that it has been used even in Sadows’ time. The technique, allows a `living` Jedi to bond, temporarily with a Jedi who has become one with the force. Through this bond, the `living` Jedi instantly learns whatever the force ascended Jedi knows. This is a dangerous technique as not only are techniques and knowledge shared, but also feelings. Memories of past experiences come flooding back to the `living` Jedi and this experience can lead to a multitude of things, even anger, hate and the darkside itself. It is not a technique to be taken lightly and when Master Yoda feels that you are ready to learn it, you must heed everything he says. I am not sure but I think that only one Jedi can be bonded to another at any one time.” Obi Wan looked around and noticed everyone, listening attentively to him. “Well that’s a first” he thought.
“So, we’re gonna get to learn things from ancient Jedi? Sounds cool.” Valin said.
“Anakin. Wake.” a voice called to him from the darkness of sleep. Anakin awoke only to find a dark skinned, bald, Jedi sitting at the end of his bed.
“Umm…Hello.” He ventured.
“Perhaps I should introduce myself.” The dark skinned Jedi said.
“Could be a good start.” Anakin answered.
“My name is Mace Windu. I was the one who helped you on Coruscant. I joined with your mind in one stage of spirit form, so that you might use my Vaapad fighting technique to survive. it seems I chose to do so wisely.”
“You can say that again. Well, thank you. If I hadn’t been able to use those moves, I may not have survived.”
“I will leave you to rest now, Anakin Solo. Call on me when you have need, and stop being so hard on yourself in the meantime. You are, after all, up against a force-god.” Mace said, smiling as he vanished back into the force.
“That was possibly the weirdest thing that has happened to me today.” Anakin said out loud. “Time to hit the ‘fresher I think” Anakin said to himself, finding that he had calmed down and also didn’t feel so responsible for the events that had unfolded.
Anakin had barely gotten out of the ‘fresher, and had pulled a clean set of Jedi robes on when he heard a knock at his door.
“Hello Tahiri.” He said and a blonde and black blur barrelled into him at about chest height. Tahiris’ black jacket ruffled as she wrapped her arms around Anakin, before letting him go and stepping back.
“How long have you been up?” She asked. Anakin, sensing he was in for it, lowered his head slightly and meekly answered her.
“About half an hour. I needed to get cleaned up. You’d rather hug me when I’m all grimy?” He asked, causing her to smile.
“After the scenario you went through earlier, I’d hug you no matter what you smelled like.” She said, “Though it is preferable this way.” Tahiri added. Anakin turned to his bed, slowly making it and then slumping down on it, leaving a large space for Tahiri to sit down. Tahiri sat quietly, not really knowing how to start the conversation.
“I feel okay, Tahiri. I know it wasn’t completely my fault and I couldn’t have prevented it if I had been there.”
“Okay. Who are you and what have you done with Anakin?” Tahiri asked, “Because I find this change quite pleasing.”
“Pleasing enough for a kiss?”
“Carry on like this hero boy and maybe you’ll find out.” Tahiri said, causing both of them to laugh.
“I had a visitor. The person who helped me on Coruscant. said his name was mace Windu and basically told me to get my act together. I decided to take his advice.” Anakin finally explained.
“I’ve been telling you this since we got involved in the horrors of war. How come you suddenly listen to some stranger and not to me?” Tahiri asked.
“Simple, he’s dead and older and I can focus more, due to the fact that he’s a him and you’re you.”
“And exactly WHAT does that mean?” Tahiri asked, her emerald eyes glaring venomously.
“That you’re distractingly beautiful.” Anakin said as he passed her and walked into the hallway, flashing the trademark Solo grin as he did so. Tahiri smiled as he left and decided to join him.
Tahiri walked quickly out into the hallway, thinking that Anakin had walked off but was surprised when Anakin walked up behind her as she left his room.
“Hungry?” she asked, slightly surprised that he had snuck up on her.
“Pretty much.” Anakin replied.
Tahiri smiled and grabbing his arm, led him quickly back into his room.
“You do know we just left here…right?” Anakin said
“Dummy. You know you shouldn’t ever question your girlfriend dragging you into a nearby room.” She said disarmingly, before cracking a smile causing Anakin to laugh.
“Stay put, I’ll grab us something to eat.” She said before running once more out the door.
“I’d say you’ve got your hands full with that one.” Anakin Skywalker said as he materialised in the room.
“Hey grandfather. Now you get here?” he asked.
“Yes. After Sadow decided to play around with his newest toy, I had a little temper tantrum, not unlike the ones I had when I was much younger.” The older Anakin said.
“Ah. Sounds bad.”
“Yes, well. Your grandmother came from that planet. Even Palpatine wouldn’t touch it. So you can understand that I was a little...upset to learn that it had been attacked.”
“Yeah. I’ll bet master Kenobi wasn’t too pleased though.”
“You can say that again. I haven’t had the whole anger leads to the darkside talk since I was your age!” he said, making them both laugh.
“Oh well, I suppose I had better go and rescue the rest of this team from Master Yoda, I’d swear he likes the sound of his own voice sometimes.” Anakin waved as his grandfather dissolved into the surroundings. Not much later, Tahiri came back in, carrying a tray with a number of food items on it.
“Everyone’s asking how you are and Master Kenobi also said that your grandfather was here.”
“He was. He left not long ago. I think he’s gone to wherever Master Yoda is on this ship.” Anakin answered as he stuffed food into his mouth. Tahiri giggled as Anakins’ cheeks puffed out, his mouth far too full of food.
“So, you think that the Aiing Tii monks will know anything?” She asked.
“About the library? Who knows? All we can do is try.”
“I thought that there was no try.” Tahiri said.
“Then we’ll DO instead. Anyway, with Yoda, Obi Wan and my grandfather backing us up, we’ll find the place in no time.” Anakin said enthusiastically, to which Tahiri smiled in reply.
Naga sadow, not content with the destruction reaped by the Centerpoint weapon reached out his claw-like fingers to the stars above. Focusing through the force, he sought the one thing that could lead to his destruction. Muttering in the ancient Sith tongue, Naga Sadow focussed on the star of a small system of planets. Slowly, the star got smaller and smaller, compressing into itself until it imploded with a thunderous noise. The shockwave from the implosion was enough to strip the surface from the planets in its solar system, but sadow was not through. The star collapsed even further until it exploded into a white hot supernova, obliterating the already broken planets. Sadow laughed coldly, he could feel the billions of people dying on those worlds before the supernova blew them and their planets to cosmic dust. Again, the Sith lord was not finished. His countenance grew grim as he coerced the expanding supernova to contract, which it did so, at an alarming rate. The remnants of the solar system were soon pulled into the gravity well of the newly born black hole that had formed.
“Master. Riina Kwaad has stated that she left with Commander Vader as well as Lomi a while ago. They will be arriving at Yavin Four shortly.” The Vader clone said. “I beg your pardon, dread lord, but their mission may be of more importance to you than the activity you have been undertaking for the past seven hours.” Sadow stopped looking at his handiwork in the night sky and grew silent, his back still to the clone. The ancient Sith lords cloak ruffled, as if growing angry before Sadow finally spoke.
“THAT IS WISE COUNCIL, SOLDIER. UNFORTUNATELY…I SO DESPISE BAD NEWS.” The clone started choking suddenly as his lungs filled with blood and soon ruptured. The clone dropped to the ground, lifeless.
“GOOD HELP IS SO HARD TO FIND THESE DAYS.”
Riina Kwaad set the large version of the coralskipper down on the wet, sodden earth of Yavin four, next to where the Sith temple, Exar Kuns’ temple used to be.
“We are to simply wait?” Lomi asked.
“We are.” Riina hissed through her ruined lips as she surveyed the damage that had been done by the Yuzahn Vongs terraforming.
“HELLO RIINA. I AM GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU HAVE DONE AS I ASKED.”
“I could do nothing else, master.” Riina replied “What do you wish of me?” Riina asked.
“FOR THE MOMENT, SIMPLY WATCH” Naga Sadow said. The ground began to tremble, stone that had been ancient when the republic was young started flying out of the ground as dust and shards. Piece by piece, the gentle scenery of Yavin Four was torn asunder and moments later, the Sith temple stood once more on its dark foundations, a beacon of hate and despair in the universe. The dark triad of Naga Sadows’ pupils, stood in awe of this incredible feat, the Yuuzahn Vong having obliterated the temple during their war on the galaxy.
“IT IS DONE. GO MY APPRENTICE AND CALL FORTH THE SITH LORD, EXAR KUN. I WILL AID IN HIS ARRIVAL. HE WILL BEND TO YOUR COMMANDS. MAKE IT CLEAR THAT HE WILL SERVE YOU AS YOUR AIDE IN THE ANCIENT ART OF THE SPIRIT FORM TECHNIQUE!” Sadow said finally. Riina nodded and moved forwards with Vader and Lomi into the dark shadows of the temple.
A shadow of endless night seemed to surround Corrans’ Sekotan ship. There wasn’t a person on board that hadn’t felt the anguish and terror of the solar system as it was burned from existence.
“First Naboo, now this!” Kyp started, “How do we defeat something like that!? He may have just wiped out the blasted library for all we know!” he said, before slumping back into his seat.
“Safe, for now, the library is. In victory, would Sadow conquer the rest of this galaxy without fear. Unsure he is that the thing he fears is gone.” Yoda spoke sagely, calming the volatile situation.
“That thing is a walking Sun Crusher. And we are supposed to fight him!? It is hopeless.” Alema said, though she said `Sun Crusher` carefully, well knowing Kyps’ past.
“The light shines brightest in the dark. It is in this dark hour that we may find our appointed path.” Anakin Skywalker said, having sat, meditating all the while.
“Well, no good talking about it now. We’re all tired. I think it a good idea that we get some rest.” Corran said.
“Agree, I do, Jedi Horn. Look for danger, we three shall.” Yoda said, indicating himself, Obi Wan and Anakin.
it was not long, after going to bed, that Tahiri woke, craving a glass of water. She stepped lightly over Alema, who graciously enough had let her have the bed for the night, her and Tahiri having been selected to share a room. Tenel Ka would have been with them too, but she had declared herself not tired and had stayed to converse with the deceased Jedi. Tahiri walked slowly into the ‘fresher and poured herself a glass of water. After drinking it, she placed the glass down on the sink with a heavy clunk, suddenly feeling very dizzy. The scars on her head began to throb and a voice that vaguely sounded like a mix between hissing and an ancient, garbled tongue seemingly made of curses, reverberated throughout her skull. Tahiri closed her eyes and slowly counted backwards from ten. When she opened her eyes again everything was normal, except that the pendant round her neck seemed brighter than before. “Khapet!” she exclaimed in Yuuzahn Vong, having figured it out. Tahiri ran back into the room and out into the corridor, heading for Anakins’ room, not caring she was still only dressed in her shift.
Riina reached the centre of the ancient temple and marvelled at the magnitude of its hall. Noticing a stairway leading to the roof, she led her small band up. Upon reaching the pinnacle of the temple, Riina and the others marvelled as Yavin Fours surface lay sprawled beneath them. Standing in the middle of the roof, between the two Sith pillars, Riina raised her arms.
“Oh mighty and powerful spirits of the Sith!” she intoned “ I call upon thee to summon the great Exar Kun!” she howled into the winds that had sprung up. Vader and Lomi looked on, wondering what would happen, when the Sith pillars began to gather a tremendous amount of force energy.
“I HAVE RELEASED HIM FROM THE VOID IN WHICH HE WAS IMPRISONED. CALL HIM ONCE MORE.” Sadow instructed. Riina did as she was bidden and at her cry, the winds ceased their howling. The Sith pillars on either side of her spent their power and a void of silence descended upon them. Darkness there, and nothing more. Then from every shadow around, came a small unnerving noise of someone laughing…

PART FOURTEEN
Anakin woke suddenly at the noise coming from outside the room.
“Hello Tahiri. Wha…” he began but stopped short, suddenly, as he opened the door revealing Tahiri clad in only her night shift. Anakin stared dumbly for a second, struck by the sight and shifted his head this way and that, trying to decide which angle best showed her curves.
“Anakin! You’ll never guess what I…what are you doing?” Tahiri asked, catching him staring blankly at her.
“Huh?! Oh, sorry. I kind of got distracted.” Anakin said, flustered.
“I’ll bet you did.” Tahiri replied, though she was far from angry.
“What was it you wanted to talk about?” Anakin asked as he moved aside to let Tahiri into the room.
“I think I know how this thing works!” She exclaimed.
“What thing? Oh, you mean the pendant? Okay, how does it work?”
“Well, first off, I was in the ‘fresher because I needed a drink when I started hearing this really deep voice in my head…now don’t give me that look, It was a different sort of voice. It spoke in a language that seemed to be made up of curses and hate and when the voice was finished, the pendant seemed to glow a little and it’s been really shiny ever since!” Tahiri finished.
“So you think the pendant reacted to the voice you heard?” Anakin asked.
“Yeah. Why not? We have seen far stranger things.”
“True. Hmm.” Anakin said.
“What?”
“That language…” Anakin began, trying very hard to fight the urge to look at Tahiri in her current state of dress, a fight he was rapidly losing. “What if the language you heard is linked to that pendant? It’s a Sith amulet right? So what if you speak Sith to it, it activates?”
“It sounds plausible enough to me.” Tahiri said as she sat down on his bed, yawning.
“The only question is; what happens once the pendant becomes activated?” Anakin asked. Receiving no reply, Anakin turned to Tahiri to find her curled up on his bed, sleeping. Anakin shook his head and slowly drew the blankets up around her before taking a pillow from the bed for himself.
“Goodnight Tahiri.” He whispered as he too soon fell into a deep sleep.
Cold blue eyes, a thousand years old, stared at the darkness in front of him that was Naga Sadow.
“So. You require my aid, old one? You who claim to have been my master Freedon Nadd?” The force spectre of Exar Kun asked.
The shadows grew denser as Sadow shifted to his material form. A dark cloaked insectile thing stood before the shade of Exar Kun who despite everything, could not hold his gaze for long.
“I DO. I NEED YOU TO AID MY CHARGES IN DEFEATING THE JEDI. I NEED YOU SO THAT MY WARRIORS WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR FORMIDABLE SKILLS.”
“I am to teach these pathetic young things then?” Kun said, pointing at Lomi, Vader and Riina who started forward at Kuns’ words but was issued back silently by her master.
“NO. YOU WILL JOIN WITH THEM AS AN ALLY IN THE ART OF THE SPIRIT FORM. THEY WILL LEARN EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO FROM YOU BY THAT MEANS. I TRUST THAT YOU WILL COMPLY? ” Sadow asked, almost mockingly.
“What exactly, is in it for me?” Exar Kun asked.
“Silence infidel! Lest my blade find your hide!” Riina shouted at Kuns’ remark.
“I would like to see you try, young lady.” Kun said, smiling.
“YOU ARE BRAVE TO TEST ME SO, EXAR KUN. A WORTHY ADDITION TO MY FORCES.” Naga Sadow laughed, “WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM THIS ENDEAVOUR IS THE KNOWLEDGE THAT EVERYONE YOU DESPISE, EVERYTHING YOU HATE, EVERY JEDI WHO LOCKED YOU AWAY HERE, WILL BEG FOR DEATH BEFORE THE END…WHICH YOU, IN AIDING ME, WILL BRING TO THEM.” Sadow finished. A far away look appeared in the eyes of Exar Kun before he turned, smiling, to the ancient Sith lord.
“Why didn’t you say so?” he said.
Luke Skywalker woke up with a start, a cold sweat covering him. Mara woke almost as soon as he did.
“Luke? What’s wrong? Is it the team?” Mara asked quickly.
“No, no. Just a bad dream. I saw an old enemy fighting with Corran, an enemy that I had thought long gone. I saw him cut Corran down, and then he came for me, and I could not win.” Luke said, his voice shaking slightly.
“Who was it Luke?” Mara asked, worriedly.
“Exar Kun. I saw him helping Sadow to destroy everything that was good in this galaxy and then he destroyed us. I’m sorry Mara. It was just a dream.”
“You have nothing to be sorry for. Lie back down, try to sleep. In the morning, everything will seem better, you’ll see.” She said. Luke did as he was told and soon drifted back off to sleep, Mara stayed awake the whole night, the terrifying prospect of what her husband once told her sticking in her mind; Jedi don’t dream.
Corran Horn stared out at the blackness of space, trying to determine which star would be next to experience Sadows’ wrath. A calming feeling washed over him suddenly.
“Hello Master Yoda.” Corran said.
“Awake still you are Jedi Horn? Troubled I sense your mind is.” Yoda said as he appeared beside Corran.
“I’ve been looking out at these stars since we stopped moving and a few hours ago…I don’t know. I just felt that something had happened. That something wasn’t, no, isn’t right.” Corran finished.
“Wise, your mind is to perceive the discord in the force. Occurred something has, but what it is, see even I cannot. Better news I bring, however. Found the Aiing tii monks Obi Wan has.”
“That’s great. Does he have the co-ordinates?” Corran asked.
“That I do. We must go far into the outer rim, past the Sii Ruuvian star cluster. The monks travels have taken them there for now.” Obi Wan said as he too appeared from the force.
“Alright. As soon as everyone is awake, we’ll head off.” Corran said.
“You both know that Miss Veila is standing behind you in the doorway, don’t you?” Anakin Skywalker said as he too entered the room.
“Come in Tahiri.” Corran said. Tahiri entered the room and was seemingly followed by Alema and Tenel Ka.
“Well, where were you last night?” Jaina asked as she walked into the room.
“Uhh…”
“She was sleeping in the boys’ room. She wasn’t in bed when I got there.” Tenel Ka said.
“Is that so?” Alema started in as she too entered. Corran sank his face into his hands and the deceased Jedi in the room faded back into the force.
“Well, well.” Jaina said.
“Well, well, what?” Jacen asked as he walked in, yawning.
“Tahiri here slept in your room. Any idea just what she was getting up to?” Jaina answered. A grin crossed Jacens’ features as he realized that he could be uncharacteristically cruel and let Tahiri fight her way out of this but changed his mind as he saw Tahiri biting her bottom lip.
“She was sleeping in the bed. Anakin was on the floor when I got up to use the fresher. Valin must have slept in the cargo bay or something, I didn’t see him anywhere.” Jacen finished.
“That’s it?” Alema asked. “No sordid details? How boring. I would have enjoyed teasing Anakin about it.” She finished and quickly walked away as Tahiris’ face took on a dark look. Valin walked in, talking with Anakin who was massaging a stiff neck.
“Hey Valin, little brother.” Jacen said with a smirk.
“I’ll have you know I didn’t do anything of the sort you’re thinking of. Get your mind out of the gutter Jasa.” Anakin said whilst Tahiri grimaced, shaking her head.
“My, my. Defensive this morning aren’t we?” Jaina finished for her twin, taking great amusement from her brothers’ discomfort.
“So where did you sleep, Valin? I got up and noticed it was late and you weren’t in the room.”
“I slept down in the cargo bay, found a few blankets and curled up, I couldn’t be bothered to walk back to the room. I was too tired.” Valin answered Jacen.
“Are you all done?” Corran asked. “Because we have things to discuss, you know, stuff that will help us save the galaxy!” Corran said.
“Is it safe yet?” Anakin Skywalker asked without appearing from the force.
“It’s fine, grandfather. Everyone is done insinuating sordid things about me and Tahiri…for now, at least.” Anakin Solo said.
“Oh…good.” Came the reply and Yoda, Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi appeared into the room.
“It’s good that you’re all here. Tahiri found something out last night that you might want to hear about.” Anakin Solo said.
“I’ll talk with Corran in the meantime about the location of the Aiing tii.” Obi Wan said.
“Is that why you ended up sleeping in our room last night?” Jacen asked Tahiri, turning to face her.
“Yes. I was talking with Anakin and I only closed my eyes for a second…I guess I didn’t realize how tired I was.” Tahiri answered.
“The pendant, I sense this matter is about.” Yoda cut in. “What you have learnt, Jedi Veila, in your own time, tell us please.”
“Okay” Tahiri began. “Where to start…well, I suppose I should start at the beginning. I was getting a glass of water from the ‘fresher because I was thirsty, when I looked into the mirror. All of a sudden, I heard this deep booming voice in my head, speaking in a language that didn’t make any sense and seemed filled with curses. After the voice stopped, I saw something in the corner of my eye, caught in the reflection of the mirror. When I realized what it was, I looked down and the pendant seemed to glow. Right now it’s just really shiny; it usually looks a different shade.” Tahiri finished her short tirade.
“Hmm.” Master Yoda paused, nodding slowly and sinking into a deep thought.
“Tahiri…”
“I know, Jaina. Trust me, it wasn’t like before. If it was, you can bet that you’d have found out.”
“Hmm…”
“Master Yoda?” a calm, collected voice asked. The owner of the voice soon became apparent as Mace Windu appeared from the force.
“It’s you!” Anakin Solo stated.
“Indeed. Greetings once again, Jedi Solo. Skywalker, as always, a pleasure.” Mace Windu said, nodding slightly in Anakin Skywalkers’ direction.
“You seem troubled master. The language that Qel-Droma’s descendant heard was clearly Sith. What other language sounds like that description?”
“Correct you are, master Windu. Sith the language is. How the pendant reacts to it, understand I do not.”
“Then perhaps a direct approach is necessary.” Mace suggested.
“Direct approach?” Corran and Obi Wan asked, having finished their calculations on the co-ordinates of the Aiing tii monks and the best available route to take.
“Skywalker?” Windu asked.
“Oh no! I haven’t been that person for a long time! I walked away from the dark path, remember? And now you’re telling me you want me to speak to a little bit of metal? ...well that’s just great.” Anakin Skywalker finished, clearly upset.
“It won’t affect you much. Talking in Sith is quite a step down from being a Sith. You’ll be fine.” Obi Wan said, trying to calm down his friend.
“…Okay. I’ll do it. What do you want me to say?” Anakin asked.
“How about asking it directions? Or maybe just giving an order?” Jaina suggested.
“fact.” Tenel Ka said, approving her friends’ input.
“Sounds like a good suggestion to me.” Tahiri said while Anakin Solo nodded.
“Okay then. Here I go.” Anakin Skywalker stated, gathering his emotions, he summoned his hate, anger and fear and then paused, before finally speaking.
The language that poured forth was the most disturbing that anyone on board the ship had ever heard. Anakin Skywalker concentrated fiercely, and as he finished speaking, the pendant around Tahiris’ neck glowed and lifted slightly into the air.
“Okay…what did you say?” Tahiri asked trying to lean away from the glowing Sith object.
“Umm, I basically asked it to guide us to its home, considering how that thing was made at the original library…” Anakin Skywalker said.
“Fair enough. So, what? It’ll get brighter the closer we are?” Kyp asked, having only just woken up and having entered the room quietly, not wanting to intrude on the conversation.
“Master Durron. Welcome. That is how it appears. Hopefully, your excursion to the Aiing Tii will yield further results. Farewell.” Mace Windu said.
“Master Windu. A moment of your time, I must request.” Master Yoda spoke.
“Of course.” The dark skinned Jedi master replied.
“To learn, the younglings are, of the spirit form technique. Already have you bonded with the young Anakin, ask you I must, will you help them further?” Yoda asked.
“Of course I will master. Call me when you have need. I will come at a moments notice.” Mace Windu replied before nodding a quick farewell to everyone and disappearing back into the force.
“Well, he’s certainly a ray of sunshine.” Alema remarked before walking over to the viewport to gaze at the stars.
“Are you alright?” Obi Wan asked Anakin Skywalker. “You’ve been very quiet.”
“I’m just trying to readjust myself. Don’t go worrying about me old man. I’ll be fine.” Anakin replied, giving his old friend a smile.
“My Lord. Everything is as you have ordered.” A subordinate Vader clone stated to Naga sadows’ spirit back on Corellia.
“EXCELLENT. TAKE A GARRISON WITH YOU TO NABOO. WE WILL CRUSH THE REMAINING PEOPLE AND DRAW OUT THE PATHETIC FOOLS WHO THINK THEY CAN HIDE FOREVER.”
Naga Sadow said.
“By your command.” The clone replied and marched off to gather his troops. When they were ready, Sadow would send them through the shadows, to Naboo.
Back on Yavin, Sadow again assumed his corporeal form and soon noticed the familiar figure standing behind him.
“You know, you cannot keep this up forever, Naga.” You will eventually tire. You’re using the magicks too much.”
“AHH. FINALLY, MY FORMER MASTER MAKES HIS GRAND ENTRANCE. HOW QUAINT…DO NOT SEEK TO COUNSEL ME, YOU OLD FOOL! I HAVE DONE MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER DREAM OF! I AM MASTER OF THE FORCE, MASTER OF LIFE! NONE CAN STAND BEFORE MY MIGHT!”
Sadow said, his voice full of anger.
“And yet, here I stand, before you, so to speak. What a shame, Naga. You were so full of potential. How I despise waste. YOU are a disappointment to the entire history of the Sith order.”
“I SHOULD DESTROY YOU WHERE YOU STAND FOR THAT REMARK YOU INCREPID OLD FOOL! I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE UTTER COLLAPSE OF THE ANCIENT JEDI ORDER! THIS RABBLE THAT STANDS IN MY PATH WILL BE SWEPT ASIDE AS EASILY AS SANDS ARE IN THE WIND!”
“Then destroy me, Naga…if you can.”
“YOU FOOL! YOU WILL REGRET THIS BRAVADO!”
Sadow screamed at the ancient being that stood before him. The very air crackled with energy and the ground of Yavin Four. was broken asunder as Naga Sadow gathered all of his might to strike his enemy down, all of the might of the darkside was gathered up and with an almighty cry, Naga Sadow flung the most powerful force blast that he could muster against Marka Ragnos, so powerful was the blast that the mountain range behind Ragnos was blown to dust. When the dust began to settle, Sadow looked at his handiwork and gasped, he had failed.
Ragnos lowered his left hand and calmly stepped forwards onto more firm ground.
“That was a little excessive, don’t you think? Well if that is the best you can do, then I was wrong. You aren’t a disappointment, you are an utter FAILURE!”
Ragnos screamed as his face contorted in fury and Sadow suddenly found himself being hurled through the air, before landing, roughly a mile away, near a tree. Sadow looked up and anyone who was capable of looking him in the face would have recognised, for the first time ever, fear. Ragnos however, was gone though as Naga Sadow breathed out a sigh of relief, the shadows of Yavin four seemed to laugh at his plight…

PART FIFTEEN
Not a person aboard Corrans’ ship missed the slight flinch that Yoda gave.
“Master?” Obi Wan asked, concerned.
“ It’s nothing my young Jedi friend. Your master just felt the…aftershocks as it were, of my confrontation with Naga.”
Marka Ragnos said as he appeared onboard in his true form.
“What is your business here, Sith?” Anakin Skywalker snarled, displeased with Ragnos’ presence.
“Anakin, calm down.” Obi Wan warned, watching the ancient Sith creature.
“Ha, ha, ha. You Jedi so amuse me. Fear not little Sith, I have only come to talk to the girl.”
Ragnos finished
“About what?” Anakin Solo said, protectively as his sister placed her hand on Tahiris’ shoulder.
“I do apologise, Jedi Veila. I did not think the visions I was sending would disturb you so.”
Ragnos said as he turned to face Tahiri.
“Visions? You mean the dreams I was having before the galaxy went mad again?”
“Indeed. I was trying to warn you. It appears that I have succeeded and failed. No matter. What you really want to know is how to use that key, isn’t it?”
Ragnos asked.
“I would, but I’d also like a further explanation, later, if you don’t mind.” Tahiri replied, her tone deadly.
“Tahiri…don’t make the ancient Sith mad.” Corran said without taking his eyes from Ragnos.
Marka laughed yet again before smiling and raising a hand.
“You have nothing to fear from me. Had I wanted your destruction, I would simply have let Sadow have you long before now. I do not toy with my enemies, I KILL them when I can, they do not live longer than is possible. You are my only salvation from this everlasting purgatory. The ghosts of my people cry out for me to right the wrong I unleashed when I taught Naga sadow. I cannot rest until he is finally and utterly destroyed. Do you understand?”
The Jedi in the room nodded as one, each of them terrified by the presence of the Sith creature.
“You are brave to demand explanations of me, Jedi Veila, and it is because of that bravery that I will answer all your questions, in due course and to the best of my ability… Ask then. I will answer you.”
Marka said.
“The Jedi.” Tahiri said, indicating Yoda, Obi Wan and Anakin Skywalker, “They say that I am less susceptible to the darkside than most. Is this true?
“Ah. Right to the point, I see. Right to the hardest question. Well, Miss Veila, the truth is both Yes and No. You see, everyone has a dark side to them. When you were shaped, your dark side was let out, so to speak. Most people would have gone mad from this, but somehow, irrevocably, against all odds, you didn’t. Ergo, Visa Vie, concordantly, since you were somehow able to bond with your darker nature, to make it a part of yourself and you a part of itself, you are able to tap the darkside. You can use it, without it influencing you to do evil. There is however, a price for this. The darkside is draining, it demands a debt, therefore, the longer you use it for, the harder it is to maintain control, due to the drain exacted upon yourself. Understand?
” Marka Ragnos finished.
“I think so. Thank you. One more thing, however; you said that you had succeeded and failed in sending me those `visions`. What did you mean?
“I’m afraid that I cannot answer that question just yet. Let me say this however, you are all in for a VERY tough time.”
Ragnos said and his eyes came to rest on Anakin Solo who merely nodded slightly.
“So, Should we maintain course through the Sii Ruuvi star cluster?” Kyp asked. “Perhaps it would be better to simply ask the key whether or not it can show us a better route.”
“That is a fact.” Tenel ka quipped. “the Sii Ruuvi may very well…Detain us, if we are captured.”
“Then we just won’t get caught, will we?” Valin Horn said.
“Agree with young master Horn, I do. Towards the star cluster the pendant points. Follow it, we must.” Yoda advised.
“Well, if that’s settled, I’ll just return later. I still have to explain about that key and how exactly it works.”
Marka said and with that, vanished.
The jungles of Yavin four trembled in the force hurricane that blew through their boughs. Naga Sadow vented his fury at his simple defeat at the hands of his former master. The winds died down slowly though the ancient Sith lords mood did little to improve.
“A bit on the down side today, Naga?” Exar Kun asked as he walked up to his supposed master.
“SILENCE KUN! I AM IN NO MOOD FOR YOUR JIBES.”
“Oh come now, all this just because you were caught off guard? This is beneath you.” Kun replied calmly, knowing that the ancient Sith would do nothing to harm him.
“YOU DARE GIVE ADVICE TO ME?...HMM. VERY WELL. I WILL TAKE IT, THIS ONCE. YOU ARE CORRECT. THESE ACTIONS ARE BENEATH ME. RIINA! COME! YOUR MASTER HAS NEED OF YOU!”
Riina Kwaad walked calmly out of the dense jungle only moments later, a smirk of success on her face.
“Master. I have learned of where the Jedi may be headed.”
“HOW SO?”
“During your battle with Marka Ragnos, I went into a deep meditation and managed to link my mind onto his force form as he departed.”
“IMPOSSIBLE. YOU CLAIM TO DO WHAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO?!” Sadow said, his rage rising yet again.
“No lord and yet yes. Marka Ragnos would not think to guard against someone such as myself, only someone such as you.”
“AH. OF COURSE. THE OLD FOOL FINALLY SHOWS A WEAKNESS. HE THINKS HIMSELF INVULNERABLE, THAT NO ONE WOULD DARE CHALLENGE HIM. TELL ME, MY APPRENTICE, WHERE ARE THE JEDI?”
“They are nearing the Sii Ruuvi star cluster my lord. I anticipated your will and I sent a contingent of ships there to destroy them. They will not survive. the Jedi fools are walking into a trap.
“WELL DONE, MY APPRENTICE. TRULY, YOU ARE WORTHY OF THE NAME OF SITH.”
“Thank you my lord.” Riina said, before bowing and leaving.
“Pathetic.” Exar Kun remarked after Riina had left.
“WHAT?” Naga Sadow asked, his voice low and dangerous.
“I just think it’s quite pathetic, that a mere copy is to be responsible for the death of the Jedi, but beggars can’t be choosers, I guess.”
“SILENCE KUN! LEST MY PATIENCE WEAR THIN! I SUMMONED YOU BECAUSE YOU CAN PROVE USEFUL TO ME BUT KNOW THIS, I DESPISE YOU. YOU WERE GRANTED THE TITLE OF LORD OF THE SITH WHEN I NEVER WAS. YOU AND ULIC QEL-DROMA WERE A WASTE TO THE ORDER OF THE SITH WHILE I WAS FORCED TO SIT BACK AND WATCH YOU. THE QEL-DROMA WHELP WILL SUFFER MY WRATH IN DUE COURSE. BE SURE YOU DO NOT SHARE HER FATE. OBEY ME, AND EVERYTHING YOU WANT WILL BE YOURS.”
“Speaking of which.” Kun answered, seemingly unfazed by Sadows’ outburst, “I want Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider kneeling before me.”
“Be silent you armoured fool! You know nothing of our master and his plans! You are a mere clone of a Jedi warrior whos’ skills, thus far are above yours or any of your siblings!”
“Watch your tongue, woman. Lest I remove it from your pretty head.
” Vader threatened.
“I’d like to see you try.” Lomi shot back as she ignited her lightsaber with the familiar snap-hiss.
“So be it.”
Vader answered as a strange looking tube of what seemed to be Yorik Coral flew from his belt to his hand. Both took up starting positions in the Seigan-No-Kami style but Vader was not concentrating on Lomis’ blade, but at her feet. The ground below her suddenly seemed to liquefy and Lomi sank into the ground up to her hips.
“I believe my technique, far outshines yours.”
Vader said as he used the force to tamper with the focusing crystal in Lomis’ lightsaber. Realising it was going to explode, Lomi flung it high into the air with the force where it exploded with an iridescent glow and loud bang.
“Farewell.”
Vader said as he swung at Lomis’ neck, intending to decapitate her. Lomi closed her eyes but suddenly heard the clear sound of two lightsabers clashing and opened her eyes again to see Vaders’ red blade blocked by Riinas’ own.
“Stop this Vader! Our master will be most displeased and you! You should met death like a warrior. Cowering with your eyes closed is not befitting of a Sith.” Riina said as she lifted Lomi out of the mud.
“My apologies Riina.” Lomi said whilst Vader simply walked away, his ragged breathing betraying his mood.
“You know, he could be trying to lead us astray, he is after all, a Sith.” Jaina said.
“True, true. Though as he said, if he had wanted us dead, he could have done so long before now.” Anakin shot back.
“Still, the Sith do like to play games, remember what uncle Luke told us when we were little? How the emperor knew about the Endor strike team but allowed them to get there anyway? How do we know that Marka Ragnos isn’t just doing the same thing for his amusement? Perhaps he has gone mad, being in Purgatory as he put it.”
“now not, we do of the plans of those that are thousands of years our senior.” Yoda quickly put in, having been listening to the conversation between the three.
“Yes Master Yoda. I am sorry.”
“Sorry be not, mindful, instead you must be. Yoda counselled before walking away to stare out the port window at the stars.
“Tahiri?” Anakin Solo called over to the blonde who sat huddled against a wall, staring at the pendant/key.
“Yeah?” She answered as he came to sit beside her.
“You hungry?” Anakin asked.
“A little. I’m tired and bored more than anything else. “Could you get me a cup of Stimcaf?” She asked.
“Sure. One energy jolt coming right up!” Anakin said, jumping to his feet and making her laugh lightly before bolting off to get her a mug.
“Well now… On to the key, then, is it?”
Marka Ragnos said as he reappeared aboard the ship. The three deceased Jedi turned as one and listened attentively to the ancient Sith whilst the others had to stop what they were doing, be it talking, writing reports/diaries or practising Katas. Except for Tahiri and Anakin. Tahiri nudged Anakin awake as he had fallen asleep sitting next to her while she remained drinking her mug of stimcaf. “Now then, where to start? Ah yes… The key you hold is activated, as you have discovered, by speaking Sith, my peoples’ language, to it. You told it to lead you home, did you not, little Sith?” Marka said, turning tio Anakin Skywalker.
“Could you not call me that please? I walked away from that path, while I understand I will always be associated with it, I would appreciate it not being brought up around my grandchildren.” Anakin Skywalker said calmly, though his voice was filled with venom.
“Very well…Anakin. You told it to take you to its home, did you not? You believe the keys’ creation point to be the place of the library itself? You are wrong. The key was created to lock the library, a house of knowledge that was never meant to be closed. The key was made on another world, the place of which only the key now knows. Perhaps there you may find your way to the library.”
“Is it the only key?”
“You are most wise, master Solo.”
Marka said, turning to face Jacen, who had asked the question.
“The library was closed by Jedi AND Sith wasn’t it? I find it hard to believe that there would be a key bearing only the symbol of the Sith.”
“Correct. There are in fact two keys. One is in your possession, the other, well now, that’s a different matter altogether. The second key is…”

PART SIXTEEN
“The second key…is, was within Sadows’ reach. Had the fool thought to look carefully enough. Have you heard of Lumiya?” The ancient being asked. “From the looks on some of your faces, I’d say the answer was a resounding yes then? Good. Yes, Lumiya. A pretender to the name of Sith but she had tremendous potential.”
“Had?” Jaina said.
“Yes. HAD. Sadow destroyed her not long before putting his final plan into motion. She held the second key, though she knew not what it was, I’m sure she simply found it aesthetically pleasing, as well as interesting to look at in the force. Sadow, destroyed the surface of where she was dwelling, crushing it with the splintered parts of a moon. I have never heard of anything so…showy. Dropping a moon onto a single person.”
“I have.” Anakin Solo state, his eyes shining with pain. Tahiri put her hand on his arm and Corran, along with Jacen and Jaina, sighed unhappily, knowing what Anakin was talking about.
“I see. Well, the surface may have been destroyed, and Lumiya along with it, but the keys, are indestructible. We crafted them so in order that we would never need to make any others. There were to be only two keys. Sadly, only one is needed to open the door. The opposite to the key, in fact. Since you hold the key in the symbol of the Sith order, you will be able to unlock the door placed by the ancient Jedi. Should Sadow get the key, he will be able to unlock the door that we Sith crafted so long ago.”
“I’m guessing that would be a bad thing?” Alema quipped.
“Not necessarily. The library is crafted in two parts, the Jedi materials were placed behind the Sith door and the Sith materials behind the Jedi door. Since what You seek is behind the Sith door, then YOU have a slight problem as Naga seeks to stop you from discovering the prophecy, by means of which you will learn how to kill him. The good thing is that Okito Krinsse was not strictly speaking, a Jedi, nor was he, by any means, Sith for back then there were only those of MY kind with that moniker. Henceforth, the prophecy may not be held behind the Sith door. The good news is that whatever Naga himself seeks at the library, barring the prophecy, is probably behind the door that we have the key to.”
“So if he wants to get his hands on ancient Sith materials, he has to kill us first?” Kyp asked. “Well that’s just perfect.”
“I never said that you would have it easy, Master Jedi. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have…other matters to attend to.” Marka Ragnos finished as he faded away.
Meanwhile, on Zonama Sekot…
“Could ya pass me down the tool kit, kid? Sorry, but there are a few things in there that I’m gonna need soon and I ain’t got the time to tell ya all their names.” Han Solo shouted up to Luke as he sat in the hallway whilst Han worked on the interior of the new Millennium Falcon in truth, he new falcon didn’t look much better than the old one.
“Sure thing Han.” Luke replied and handed down a deep tray filled with an assortment of strange tools that Luke didn’t recognise, and he’d worked on X-wings and other fighters for quite a while now.
“So…Ya okay Kid?” Han asked.
“I don’t know Han. I’ve been having these…nightmares lately. I see Corran fall and then the rest of us. I’m not sure, but, I think the force is trying to warn us about something. I hate to say it Han, but I’ve got a…”
“Don’t! Kid…whenever one of us says those words, something bad DOES happen. Call it the will of the force if ya want, I’ll call it jinxing ourselves. Look, don’t ya go worrying over the corsec idiot or any o’ the others. If ya didn’t think they’d do okay, you wouldn’t have sent them, right?”
“Right” Luke said, sighing. “You’re probably right Han. I guess I’m just a little jumpy.” Luke finished.
“Is Luke okay?” Leia asked Mara as she poured them both a mug of stimcaf while Ben played around his mums’ feet.
“I don’t know. He keeps having these really bad nightmares. I think he’s getting a little worried about the team and Corran. Then again, the only thing he should be worried about is what Mirax will do to him if Corran doesn’t come home” Mara said jokingly though there was fear in her eyes. Ben, seemingly responding to his mothers’ distress, clamped himself onto her foot in a huglike manner. Then, he decided that his mothers’ ankle would make a nice chewtoy.
“Ow! Ben! Right…come here, you.” Mara said, scooping her son up who’s only response was to grin impishly.
“This one will be getting away with murder, I fear.” Leia said.
“Tell me about it. If I manage to survive his teenage years without taking a trip to the darkside, then it’ll be a miracle.
“Look. All that I’m saying is; I don’t trust the guy. He IS a Sith for forces sake!” Jacen said.
“And I’m not disregarding that fact. But to distrust him on the basis that he is a Sith is wrong. He needs us to defeat Sadow for some reason and as long as he needs us, then I don’t think that we have anything to worry about from him.” Anakin replied.
“Alright. For now, let’s say he isn’t our enemy. What happens when Sadow is gone? Will we be facing him next?”
“We’ll blow up that bridge when we come to it, Jasa.” Jaina said, cutting in on the brothers’ conversation.
“For now, at least, we have a very powerful ally. I’m willing to overlook the whole darkside tendencies for as long as he’s on our side. If he tries to betray us, I’m sure that Master Yoda will see it coming. Okay?” Jaina finished.
“Okay Jaya. For now. But I’m not taking my eyes off him. I got a real bad feeling when I spoke to him.”
“Argument over?” Anakin asked.
“I thought we were discussing. Usually when we’d argue one of us would raise his voice.” Jacen countered.
“Shall I begin?” Kun asked Sadow who merely nodded, too deep in thought to care about the trivialities that were about to ensue. “Very well. All of you! Get in line. Playtime is over.” Kun instructed. Riina, Lomi and Vader all lined up in front of him, though Vader and Lomi shot each other murderous glares.
“I am about to instruct you in the ancient art of the spirit form technique, apparently. As soon as your master finishes whatever he is doing and gets here to tell us what to do.” Kun finished.
“YOUR ARROGANCE IS YOUR WEAKNESS, KUN.”
“Your shows of power are yours.” Kun replied.
“YOU ARE LUCKY THAT I AM IN A GOOD MOOD TODAY. NOW…TO BUSINESS. RIINA, STEP FORWARD.” Riina did as she was bidden and stopped in front of her master.
“NOW, STRETCH OUT YOUR LEFT HAND AND CALL OUT HIS NAME WHILST FOCUSING ALL YOUR ENERGIES THROUGH THE FORCE ONTO HIM. THE REST WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF.” Naga sadow said.
Riina stretched out her left hand towards Exar Kun and focussed on him through the force, pushing all her energies towards him. “Exar Kun!” Riina screamed and the thousand year old Sith found himself being pulled at a speed to great to be counted, towards Sadows’ apprentice. Kun passed into Riina, Vanishing. Riina wavered, feeling light headed, but steadied herself before laughing out loud.
“Where has he gone?” Lomi asked.
“INTO RIINA. TELL ME, MY APPRENTICE. HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW?” Sadow asked.
“Everything. I know everything that Kun does, master. I remember Ulic Qel-Droma betraying the Sith order to the Jedi, I remember the fighting styles that Kun picked up through the years, I know them now as if they had always been in my memory!” Riina exclaimed.
“EXCELLENT. THEN THE TECHNIQUE HAS BEEN A SUCCESS.” Sadow declared. “DISENGAGE, RIINA. I WOULD SEE HOW LONG THE KNOWLEDGE LASTS AMONGST ALL THREE OF YOU. SIMPLY THINK OF THE BOTH OF YOU PARTING WAYS, AS IT WERE.” Naga instructed and Riina did so, causing Exar Kun to appear next to her.
"So then...who's next?" Kun asked as he looked on at Vader and Lomi intensely, trying to make one of them back down. A moment passed and then one stepped forward to do their masters bidding.....
