We're getting low on participants here, and the time difference for some users is leaving them all alone.
So if people aren't totally consumed by the actual task of the moment (and yes, onlookers--if any--there is a current task, even if you can't see it just yet), I figured I'd post minor Wastes of Time for people who feel like doing . . . something.
The prize to be won in a Waste of Time is essentially:
Other than relief from the utter tedium of staring at threads that barely move. However, it is worth noting that people who post more tend to get evicted later rather than sooner.
WASTE OF TIME 1
It has been brought to my attention that
PulsarSkate
and I make lousy "brothers," big or otherwise, what with being female and everything. The abbreviation for "Big Sister" would be "BS," and not a thrill to sign posts in here with. (Although it would be descriptively accurate.)
So Waste Of Time 1 is to find an acronym for female Big Brethren that is cool enough for at least one of us to want to use. I'd sign BB/BS/B? posts with the right acronym.
GIMER
, in the "Handover" thread, has already suggested "Females Under Current Control," which would yield the lovely acronym "FUCC."
Maybe . . . not, on that one.
(And have I mentioned how badly I want to abuse my mod powers to turn the "d" in the "Handover" thread name into a "g?")
Anyway . . . acronyms. If you feel like wasting your time.
