Sigh. If it's really the 21st, Rae, Ben, and I won't be there. It's a home weekend, since the 21st is Thunder Over Louisville. Not complaining or anything, just letting everyone know. We Louisville suburb people have to go to Thunder.

Have you ever been here for the little 500? Even if you don't care to be crazy stupid drunk, its one heck of a time. I would definitely miss Evansville's big event (fall festival) in the name of Little 5.

Thanks Eric, should be able to make it.
and yes, my main reason for visiting,
is THE LITTLE 500
not the parties, but the actual race, which I find
pretty gosh darn inspirational.

I've got four years left of being in Bloomington. I'll go to one when it's not the weekend of Thunder. Thunder is THE thing in my part of "Kentuckiana", kicks off all the Derby festivities and it just kind of gets stamped into your system after years and years of going and experiencing the Derby frenzy.

Little 5 was thunder weekend last year too... my Uncle invited me down to Louisville, but I had to decline.

well, it looks like no one has been "up to",
anything much lately,
Very much hope no one caught my cold from the last meeting.
I was ....on my gosh.....sick that weekend.
I also came to visit IU, and watch the Little 500,
but had to cancel all of my activities on this subjec.
But, I did manage to make a Replica Prop Forum event north of INDY
in AVON. Only for the serious prop builders and collectors.
also, some of you may have heard that I was going to
try to participate in a film-shoot at fermi-lab in Bativia IL.
well, I did manage to make this...thank goodness, I was feeling a
little better.
However, I did not know that what they really needed,
were StormTroopers, who could do "stunt work", and fall down
in their armor, and ....not break their armor.....or their necks!
It is quite a sight to see about 10 StormTroopers strewn about,
down on the ground!
The film has a working title of, Forgotten Realm
hope to get more about this to you as time goes on:-)
ok, May is a busy month and my next trip down around
by you is June 17 to 22

Lucas on Conan tonite w/ ILM tour

Just a heads-up, George Lucas is supposed to be on Conan O'Brien tonight with a tour of the ILM Archives.
Conan is in San Fransico all this week and was on Jay Leno last Friday.
He said on The Tonight Show on Friday they had gone to the new ILM facility with a camera crew and shot some stuff.
Conan said they got to see all the cool costumes, models, and props, and he even got to play with an Indy bullwhip.
In fact, he said, he was cracking it back and fourth and hit a rare OT model and it fell off the display table and broke.....and it's all on camera.
Look for it tonight, check your local listings.
