Is anybody besides me looking forward till the release of Fanboys? I saw on the main page that they are thinking about re-editing some of the movie to take out the cancer plot.
Do you think it will be a Star Wars type of event where people will wait in line and dress up?

We have been talking about this in our monthly meeting's for ever. I totaly think it would suck for them to remove the cancer plot.
BUT YA , I AM super excited to see it.

Eric, I think we need to get some of the Alliance together, drive to Skywalker Ranch and steal us a print of FANBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still waiting to hear more on this. If they remove the cancer plot, I will boycott it. I would love to see it, but there is no need to change something that had heart, all for some test audience(s). I will have to see.

Yeah, once again corporate geniuses tamper with someone's art to make it more commercially viable. I find it highly ironic that this movie's main inspiration is based on a saga created by the most famous corporate Hollywood rebel, George Lucas. Lucas struggled for years to get away from the exact same thing Fanboys is going through now.
Big Wigs with dollar signs in their eyes always manage to take the "art" out of "artwork". Now it's just "work". I'm sure it will still be entertaining, but it will always stick in my craw that it's not the true vision of the creator.
