As I will at 5pm if we dont do the hole day. but since we are the official fan club I was thinking we should not be like 30th in line. Know what I mean?

I really don't think there's going to be a huge line for this, but I could be wrong. I'm not going to ask off work for this so I guess my answer is no, I won't be there until the late afternoon or evening.

I talked with Jess at the GP and they have agreed to give us gift cards to hand out as prize's wile waiting in line (No matter what time we wait). So would anybody like to suggest some sort of contest?

I don't think there will be many kids there on Thursday night, but I bet there will be loads Friday and Saturday evening. I assume this is at Showplace West? If it is, I do believe there will be a 501st presence there, so that could, in theory, be beneficial.

I could probably handle a 10-hour wait. There's a chance I'll be going to Michigan to watch the premiere with my best friend (and a chance to see the premiere at a really nice theater). I'll let ya know soon.

Standing in line is a great way to advertise the club... and its an advertising opportunity that only comes around on rare occasions.

I suggest some simple flyer, including links to this board and the HA board,
in case some one asks for more info. (like a business card, just in case)

If any one knows a 501rst member that would like to troop the midnight show please let us know.
It would be great if you could come down and troop it Ed. I want to get something together for the manager of the theater soon.

Well, I know now that I will not make it down there for this....DRATS
also,
ref midnight shows,
One of the items I have noticed in looking at various threads for various places,
is that Theatre managers seem to be more aware that if they work it just so,
they can have costumed Star Wars fans, when they want to have them.
or
It is my view, that, some Theatre managers want their BIG event night to be on
a weekend night (when they have a larger staff anyway),
and can advertise to more people (attendance always up for all show titles on weekends)
I am just saying that this might be a factor in whether or not they have a midnight
showing that relates directly to the release date.
and since it is an animated film, the "little kid" appeal works better on non-school
nights (or very late at night)
hope to make it down there for sure in October.
