Third time's the charm as they say...
Seeing Star Wars through the eyes of a child without any knowledge of the movies was rather eye opening. I asked him if he knew who Ackbar was, and he had zero idea until I asked if he saw the "underwater" episode where Jar Jar and Padme got captured. Only then did he claim to remember Ackbar and the Mon Calamari.
At one point I pulled out a box containing my old Star Wars micro machines. Poor kid didn't know what an X-wing was, but at least he admited it was a very cool ship.
Nick, we're very disappointed with you.
What did I do? At least I gave him the movies and instructed him on who Ackbar was and showed him an X-wing. What more could I do?
I remember seeing the Holiday Special when it was broadcast.
This kid is gonna be watching them in the wrong order, isn't he?
Moonman 2.0 is born
My friend's girlfriend -- a huge sci fi and gaming nerd -- hadn't seen the OT until a couple of weeks ago. Disgraceful.
Misa ab iPhono meo.
Obi-wan is the Pellaeon of TCW, he usually ends up retreating.
And ends up getting his ass kicked.
A true philistine...
Well, they go on TOR dates so at least they have that going for them.
...actually no, that's pretty weird.
This is morally unacceptable.
This is morally unacceptable.
Obviously, you're supposed to act like one of those snobby nerds from the movies, whose sole purpose in life is to stand in the corner and snort humorously at the infidels who don't know the difference between a landspeeder and a skyhopper.
At least Pellaeon doesn't do it nearly every week. If TCW Obi-Wan is anything, it's resilient.
As a Fleet Junkie, it would be morally unacceptable if Han Solo shot first during the Trench Run. He obviously waited to open fire until Vader opened up on Luke.
I kid, I kid!
What if Gascon is actually Palpatine, as in the Palpatine character is just a suit the frog drives around?
I think I should pitch this idea to LFL.
Huh. He *was* really croaky in that scene where he names Vader, wasn't he?
I am currently reading "Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy" by Jason Fry, adapting the upcoming Mauldalore arc episodes.
lets say, this novelisation of them is awesome! lots of continuity nods and retcons. Especially great stuff for Mandalorians, Hutts etc. also Black Sun is no issue it seems. Loving it so far.
Ah, so K'Kruhk is going to kill him? Awesome. Does he utilize the hat Oddjob-style, or just blind Maul with its radiance until he falls into another pit?
Ha. Glad someone appreciated the hat thing. Seemed to me Maul would have an opinion about that.
I appreciate not just the hat thing just felt it better to not spoil all the goodies to the folks here yet. Some they need to discover on their own.
besides, it is refreshing and interesting to read about TCW episodes before they air. Maybe that improves some of them with f.e. Vizlas thoughts in mind while watching, or knowing some retcons in advance. I certainly like it. Then again, I read the TPM novel before I went to cinema too on first day of release, so that's not the first time it happened that way.
So what we're saying is that Ventress' skirt was just the start of this show's obsession with weaponised apparel?
