Official Bump
The organizers are preparing the printed program.
It will run much like last year, with us scheduled for "performances" at 2 separate times, with wanderings in between.
The Jedi Academy is a go, obviously, with sound system, so we'll need someone not in costume to twiddle the knobs and levels (will require brief training period).
What about the duel? Most likely with Marty out of town, we will need a new victim...partner for Lisa. I'm once again investigating indoor facilities for training sessions. This is open to anyone willing to learn the routine. If necessary, we'll work on an apporpriate Jedi costume to match.

I don't think there is enough time to train a new apprentice. We've been trying for a while now, and haven't had any luck. Count out the next couple of weekends with holidays, and that leaves us with about a month to teach/learn the routine. The available space to perform was also an issue. At least with the Academy, there are only 2 people swinging.

We would have to do a less intense first routine if we use someone brand new. The ROTS duel is quite physical and would take much too long to teach/train as Chris has said. We would have to see if the apprentice is nimble or flexible enough for the ROTS duel to begin with. 
I could also do a more general easier routine just to get one done for any events we would need or want a duel if Marty is not there.
I (and the others) should know if we are going to Philly pretty soon, so we can plan at that time.
Yes, the space was an issue, but we could work around that now that we know what we are dealing with. It would be cool to start on the landing and go down the stairs. 
The BIG issue was not hearing the soundtrack which threw off the whole duel and ruined it last time.... but I don't think the "new" duel would be choreographed to music. Just need that padawan.....

I'm not sure if I was clear or not.
I highly suggest NOT doing the (or any) duel at the event. There has been talk of a new apprentice for a year now, but no one has answered the call. There simply isn't enough time.
If someone is interested in training with Lisa, I would strongly encourage them to get in touch with Lisa asap to coordinate scheduling time to rehearse. It isn't something that can be worked out in a few hours. If I recall correctly, Lisa and Marty practiced for a few weeks before performing for the first time.
