I have not heard back from the parents until late last night. They are asking for us to appear at 4:30. I advised we would arrive at 4:00.

Plan to meet promptly at 4:00 and we will enter together.

The birthday boy bolted from the yard when we asked for volunteers for the Jedi Academy. He was finally found, and everything proceeded from there.

A very successful event. A few parents trained with their children, and fought Vader, too.

Here's an email I received today:

Hi Chris,
I just wanted to say thanks again for coming to Joe's party on Saturday. He really loved it and it was very touching that you brought him presents. He honestly has barely stopped playing with all the action figures you gave him since then and has had to take them to bed with him.

I'm sorry it took a few minutes for him to warm up to the whole thing but sometimes he doesn't like being the center of attention and gets a little anxious about it. I think he's a little traumatized by the treatments and surgeries etc. he had to go through and thinks being the center of attention isn't always the best thing to be.
