The North Ridge at Comic Con 08

Dan and Elizabeth survived the trip with us Tuesday to LA.
We shopped Hollywood, El Capitan, and found Stan's Donuts from Food Network.
We encountered a major air pocket mid flight that toppled our stewardess.
Dan took about 1000 pictures today alone.
Long day, ore tomorrow.

The turbulance during the flight was just like riding a roller coaster, the stewardess took a header into her cart. The Atlanta airport had loads of shops and had an Ipod and electronics vending machines.
Traffic out here isn't to bad, just picture the 90 traffic but doubled. Smog is crazy, I got pictures of the mountains covered in smog so thick you could barely see them. Hollywood was interesting as there as folks dressed up like assorted entertainment stars that you can take pictures with for tips. The walk of fame was cool but there were so many people we couldn't take pics of all the stars. The chinese theater was awesome, we tried once aggain to get pics of all the stars hand prints outside.
Stans donuts were amazing, the make a donut called the reeses peanut butter donut which requires something to drink as it will dry your mouth out with all the peanut butter in it.
Well it is 7am here and our second day is about to begin. Two hour drive to San Diego and then preview night. Will update more later

Larry has offered to burn the pics to cd fr me while we are here. I brought 3 1gb cards with me , but I think I may have taken around 500 pics yesterday and I think they may only hold 1000 per card so it looks like we will be going to target

In route to San Diego. We stopped to take some pics of the ocean and feed the squirrels. The weather is a nice 70 degrees and sunny. Not to rub it in...
Gil, I picked you up something in spanish that reminded me of something you would say.
We saw our first wreck on the way here, ripped the whole side off the van and destroyed the front end. No pics though.
We saw Camp Pendelton and watched the marines doing manuevers. Good times!

Jay and Danielle have arrived at their lodgings at Hotel Circle. We heard from them just as we were going to check in to our hotel.
We'll meet up in line for previews.
It may be GIANT MARGARITAS IN OLD TOWN NIGHT tonight.
On to registration and previews after we unpack.

We are in route to Comic Con. After a little purchase of a video camera and some batteries at Target, we finally are on the road again. Jay and Danielle just callled and they are waiting in line to get in for preview night.
Larry and I picked up some force unleashed sabers on clearance along with a dozen imperial officers, great deals!

Glad to hear everyone made it in safely, even though the flight in for Dan and the gang was quite rough... I have never seen a flight attendant headbutt the cart before, that is some serious turbulance! I'm glad we didn't experience anything like that on the way to Orlando, or else I may still be there!

We caught up with Jay and Danielle and managed to all get in for preview night. (Elizabeth and I didn't have preview passes). All in all it has been a strange day full of a fat Poison Ivy, an asian Alvin from the chipmunks and a few weird people dressed as anime characters
They are giving out orang jumpsuits tomorrow for harold and kumar. They aren't anything special but I will pick up a few of them.
Tomorrow is fight for pictures and panels day.
