Well, the 1st 2 episodes premiered, and they are vastly superior to the animated movie that escaped to theaters over the summer. There's still too much inane battle droid banter for my taste, and I'm not real fond of Asoka calling R2 "Artooie" and referring to Anakin as Skyguy. But these complaints pale when you can enjoy Yoda's exchange with the clones in the cave, and his relationship with them throughout the episode. Same for Plo in the 2nd episode.

The jury is still out on the "tone" of the narration that opens each episode; it's very reminiscent of the newsreel / Starship Troopers announcer, and its bombast is a touch jarring.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I find Asoka kind of annoying. I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes all the same though. Its funny to see the Jedi being so concerned about the clones as people, but in the EU they kind of treat them like droids, ie. expendable non-people

I saw for an upcoming preview how the droid army will find Kamino and maybe shut down the clone facility...will be interesting.

The episodes seem a lot tighter in their story telling than the movie. I couldn’t be happier with it.

It’s neat. I’ve got the Clone Wars through iTunes, so I don’t get commercials, but they still leave four or five seconds blank space where the commercials would be, and the pause works really well I think.

I truly enjoyed the first 2 episodes! Yoda was amazing and I really liked his talk with the clones as well. Of course, I liked the Anakin episode.... just because. grin

I agree with Larry/Janice regarding the Skyguy-Snips-Artooie exchange and the droid banter. It was kinda cute in the movie, but OK enough is enough. I'm already kind of sick of it, but I think this is done for the kids. I just cannot see Anakin having ANYONE calling him "Skyguy" especially in front of others and by his padawan. He's too arrogant for that.

This has been a question I've had since the movie came out....I thought Anakin never was a Master though.... and didn't someone call him "Master Skywalker" in the CW movie or the tv episode? (Or I could be just losing it)He was so excited about the thought of being a Master in ROTS... doesn't jive for me. In the book it explains that by being on the council he would be a Master and then he could look into Force info in the archives that would otherwise be off-limits. That is a major reason (if not thee reason) why he goes over to the darkside.

But that aside, I LOVE the fact that we get to see a new episode every week and see more background/info into all of the characters.

Very enjoyable. It's something I can look forward to in watching with my kids more often, particularly Katherine. She absolutely loves Ahsoka. The animation is beautiful. The commentator/narrator does remind me of the guy who used to do the old Superfriends on Saturday mornings. Maybe that was the intent.

The padawan story line is somewhat confusing. In the earlier book adventures of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan by Scholastic, Obi-Wan did accompany Qui-Gon on missions, but as a padawan learner. He was always trying to prove that he was worthy of Qui-Gon's decision of taking him on as a full padawan. I bet you that's where they got the Anakin/Ahsoka relationship from and where they're trying to steer it. But, they would need to clear the padawan terminology a bit. She technically would be Anakin's padawan learner (and not a padawan) and can be re-assigned to shadow another Jedi.

The droid banter, however cute, can get a bit annoying. I mean, since when does a droid know how to hum a tune while cutting the bay window out of a life-pod?

Grievous is simply awesome and Dooku is being good at being Dooku.

Oh, and one more thing - Clones, baby, Clones! Here come more action figures.

95 out of 100 stars. wink

Gotta say, seeing the Y-wings fly like that in the last episode kind of got to me.

The Y-wing has always been one of those images that are stuck in my head from being 8 and seeing the first movie. It’s an odd touch point - they haven’t shown up very much in the movies since then.

I don't know if this is something that is normally done, but we caught Clone Wars on CFTO outta Canada last night from 7-730pm. The episode we saw had the PloKoon ship being destroyed and Valley Girl and SkyGuy come and rescue him.

Overall I liked it and found it rather enjoying. Still not sold on Anakin having a padawan, but at this point I don't think anyone is.

I think it was planned. I read before the series start they would be on CTV Canada (channel 12).

Smurfette used to handle a whole tribe of Smurfs.

You ought to be able to handle 60 Boy Scouts.
