Now that the fervour of C4 is over, could we call a date for Book Club:American Gods?
It has been 6 months since we picked this book, and we have yet to gather to discuss it.

If you have finished this book maybe go ahead and have the meeting without me as I'm not sure if I can make it. I know I picked the book but the next few weeks are busy for me so I don't want to hold anyone that has finished the book up.

Just want you to know I'm ready to meet - I'm away a lot too over the summer. Dooks - if you're free any week night in the next while, maybe you should just pick that day for the meeting? It would be nice for you to be there since this is your book choice.

So, it seems like this little group has gone wayward....I confess that I did not read the last book on the agenda (although after seeing Stardust, I'm quite curious about Mr. Gaiman and his other books).
Does anyone have any objections to perhaps making this a Star Wars themed book club? I know I've been completely engrossed in the Legacy series, and there seems to be a lot more SW books coming out in the near future, encompassing various story lines. We could also include the comic book series as well.
I just find I don't have as much time for other books at the moment (HP doesn't count anymore as it's over  ). Of course if there ever is a lull between SW books (depending on how soon the next ones release and how fast people read), we could always include other books in the interim.........
Whaddaya think?

I know I'm just trying to catch up, to get onto the Legacy series. But I'd be down for that. I'm not really into reading anything but Star Wars. Call me one track mind but I don't have time to read other stuff unless its a text book.

I think I'd bow out if it became SW-themed. Love the movies, not so keen on the books despite the fact that I have tried: Thrawn, various YA Jedi books, the movie adaptations, in-between Prequel novels and a smattering of others.
But it's a SW fanclub, so by all means, don't let my absence hold you back if the will is there.

So I was thinking we should get the SW book club going....anyone is welcome to join 
I think our first book will be Death Star - which releases this Tuesday, Oct 16th. Let's say two weeks or so to read the book and then we'll set up a meeting to discuss...
I thought we should start with this one since Fury (the next Legacy book) doesn't release until the end of November.

I'm about half way thru Death Star now (been reading bits here and there on the train). It's pretty good so far. Love how Vader is portrayed in this. He first shows up in Chapter 7. I like that the chapters aren't too long but that the various characters are starting to come together.....
