Saturday, December 1st, 2007, is the day Calgarians will once again deck themselves in festive gear for the annual Salvation Army Santa Shuffle, which features a 5km fun run and 1 km elf walk around Prince’s Island Park. Last year Calgary raised almost $50,000 with more than 1200 participants, the most in the country!

8:30 a.m. Arrival. Escorted to secure change room

9:30 a.m. Opening Ceremonies

10:00 a.m. Race begins

10:30 a.m. Runners begin to return

11:30 a.m. Closing ceremonies and prizes


Event #2

Light up the Park.

When: Saturday December 1st 2007, Meet at 12pm.

Where: Calgary Rotary Challenger Park
3688 – 48 Avenue NE (Driving Access from 48 Avenue only)

Take McKnight Boulevard to Barlow Trail
Turn north on Barlow Trail
Your first right (east) will be 48th Avenue (Sandman Hotel on the corner)
Turn right on 48th Avenue and follow to the very end (past the construction area)

The beginning of the Christmas festivities. Lots of stuff going on this day.
Locked change area provided.

I can't make the morning event as I have class, but I will be at the afternoon event for sure.

And then heading over to Forest Lawn Sobey's for the Fame for Food event at 5 happy

It was a cold day in the park, but we managed to stay for about 2.5 hours. BRRRRrrrrr!! Even with the firepit and the warm up centre, this Jedi froze some toes!! It was fun though!
