A few years back there was a display of a life sized R2D2 and Darth Vader in a gaming shop in Sunrigde Mall. Does anyone remember or know the name of the company/person that made those? I know they were locals.

I think it was AIM or something.

No idea. The Sunridge store got integrated into Chinook and Hobby, did it not? I have not seen those props in a while. There is a Vader at The Sentry Box, and it is in really poor repair. I was thinking the fan group should adopt it and get it up to a Sith Lord Standards.

Wasn't the name of the shop called Star Wares or something to that effect. It was on the upper level at the south end right?

The store was called Star Wares. I can't remember the name of the R2 builders, but it was something like AIM (immediate association with Advanced Idea Mechanics) and it was local.

I don't think the Vader was built, I'm sure it was one of the 90's limited prop runs they did. They also had one in the window of the Pretty Party Place in West Ed for years.

Chinook Hobby did have a Vader suit, but I remember seeing it there around '93 - '95.

Actually the fella at AIM had made some angels for the Ark of the Covenant. You know, that gold box the Hebrews carried the remains of the ten commandments slabs in.
