Far and away for me X-Files. That show had me glued to the screen every Friday, followed by Sunday nights for 6 straight years. Never missed a night. Pathetic.

Immediately after the Star Wars movies, I place the B5 movies and all the seasons. I like the rich character development. Just when you think you understand a character, twists and back-stories add to the depth. For a TV series, they did very well with special effects, musical score, and the cast. And unlike several TV programs, you really can miss things if you watch them out of order. The first season could be watched randomly, but towards the end of the season, it gets much more interesting. Seasons 2-4 are very well written and had the feel of one continuous movie.  Season 5 started out a bit dry, but after the first few episodes, you start to see more detail like 2 thru 4 with subplots within plots, within larger plots to form a great. Even the made-for-tv movies are pretty good, but some are better than others. 
I have all of them on DVD (movies and TV series) and I watch them fairly often -- in order. Looking back, knowing what is coming, I see how the writers clued the viewer in to things without being obvious... I was sorry when the five years had ended  .
