Frasier was just the perfect show for me, being something of an intellectual twit myself. It was the perfect needle in my balloon, reminding me not to take myself too seriously or risk becoming an utter buffoon.
That said, after about the sixth season it dropped severely in quality.
Seinfeld managed to sustain the comedy over its entire run, but at its best Frasier was funnier.
So, call me a toss up.

I will say this for Frasier -- the acting was second to none.

Other than Seinfeld (who...well...played himself  ) all of the main characters and those like Newman and Frank Costanza (  ) could not have been bettered.

Nice post. Although I'd agree that after the sixth season Frasier dropped off a bit, I do think the final season was a return to form.

I watched both but Seinfeld was better, though Frasier had its moments.

Frasier was much better than Seinfeld. I laughed so hard at some of the Frasier episodes that I almost sent myself into early labor.

Ack - I like them both!!
Since I have to pick - I'll go with Seinfeld. As much as I enjoyed Frasier, the show was running on empty when it went off the air (though I think re-vamping could have worked] Seinfeld, on the other hand could have gone on for many more years.
