I get to be the blasphemer. 
I actually was raised on the Mary Matin version of it; I saw it long before I knew there was an animated version. I adore the Disney version, but this one holds a special place in my heart.
Is it sad that I actually remember the lyrics to the songs?

Hook is a great movie, but an impossible what-if-sequel.  Disney's is okay and cute, but there's more to Peter Pan.
And even though a lot is, naturally, missing and some things changed, 03-PP is still a great adaptation of the book (don't actually know the play).

The 1924 version has the benefit of having a female playing Peter Pan; she spends the entire movie prancing around in an incredibly short skirt and her legs are, quite frankly, tremendous.
But the 2003 version is by far the best; Jason Isaacs is a great Darling and brilliant Hook. And the swordplay is actually quite amazing.
