That's awesome info Aragorn. The number of character you have there seems like it'll work fine.
On the matter of judging, maybe we'll see if we get any more offers from anyone else, and if we don't, I'll shoot you a PM to let you know when it gets close to start time.
You mean Pete EF? We (actually it was more just me to myself) talked about that a few pages ago, and he's only ever used the ability to phase out of binds to free himself. Never in a combat scenario, so I think it's safe to say he isn't going to be going intangible whenever he wants during a fight. And if someone tries to argue that he will, well, he just won't.
What is the general consensus on Aslan? I know Tyi might make an appearance in this thread now that I mentioned that name, and I think I have a pretty good idea which side he'll be on. Everyone else though? EF has already stated that he wants to get rid of him, but I'm not sure. He only has one healing feat on record, but it still involved the regrowth of a body part (tail IIRC). The movie contradicts any durability displays he showed in the books when he got stabbed, and obviously any rebirth is out of the question. He's got his super breath. He'd be pretty useful combating Jadis were the two of them to face off in teams, given that he can reverse her stone enchantments on his teammates. Teleportation I think, although I don't know which book that feat comes from. And then you can throw on the fact that he's a lion, and a particularly good leader at that. I don't think we need to get rid of him personally, but I'll let others decide what to do.

Also, I see that Donut from Kung-fu Hustle isn't on the list anymore. Don't know when that happened, but if Coolie and Tailor are there, Donut might as well be there, too. Especially since he's probably the best of the three. Though, honestly, I'd be surprised if any one of those three guys gets drafted, good as they are.
Couple other issues:
Chas Kramer from Constantine seems like total dead weight to me. Ditto for C-3PO. I mean... come on.
Also, I remember this being brought up last draft, but if GMs are being forced to choose just one incarnation of Dracula, then Drake from Blade needs to be taken off the list as a seperate pick.
And finally some quick Harry Potter stuff. So, if we're talking feats from the movies only, then McGonagall should probably go. She's got pretty much nothing for us to go on in terms of any battles. That'd be a totally different story if we were using the books, but movies only? She's got next to nothing. Also... Snape. Well, technically he's got at least something of a battle feat when he outdueled that complete joke, Lockhart. But if we're going to say movie feats only and actually stick to it, then Snape really has precious little to go on. Just sayin'.
Also on the subject of Potter and the people listed, Dumbledore has a first name (as does McGonagall, if we're keeping her) and Ron and Hermione have last names. Not really a big deal, but it does make the list look a bit sloppy.
And what team size were we thinking about going with?

12 teams should have 12 rounds. It's still not as many characters as a 16 team draft.
When judging Beowulf, how do you feel about his sea monster flashback? Or any feat he claims, really. He is obviously embellishing when he says he fought 5(8? I can't remember what he says), because Wiglaf says "Last time it were 3". Just go with the flashback scene in every case?

Yeah, I didn't really know how to express myself there. For the HP characters, I meant that they only get character development up until the movies. Meaning any feats from books up to the 5th are certainly eligible, but books 6 and 7 are off limits, until their movies are made, given that this is the M&T Draft. I asked about it earlier and got no response, so I just decided to add it in. I suppose I wasn't clear enough though.
So with all that said, McGonagall is definitely okay for the draft. As is Snape obviously. Although he can't fly, nor can Voldy.
That's a good point about Drake. I'll ditch him from the list.
I was about to cut from the bottom feeders of the list, but decided against it. Not for any real reason, but doing it wouldn't really affect anything either. There are a few others that could definitely be cut along with the ones you listed, but I probably won't bother.
New list up later tonight, with its most recent changes.

With Beowulf, uh, yeah, that's a pretty good question. Ummmm... lemme watch it again first before I give a concrete answer on that. I don't have the DVD, but I know someone who does, so hopefully I can get ahold of him and borrow it tonight. But yeah, for the moment I'm thinking it's probably best to just go with what we see in the flashbacks.
Hmmmmmm... that list still just looks messy and clunky to me. Just a big long block of names, and I wouldn't be surprised if people would have problems with their eyes just glazing over while looking at that thing, possibly causing them to skip over names they might want to consider picking. I know that's happened to me with shorter lists than this.
Gimme a few minutes, I wanna try something. I'm gonna rework that monster into the format we use in the VGD and see if maybe it looks a little better.

Okay, let's see if this works a little better. Basically a movie or series has to have a least three characters representing it to get its own section. Any less goes under Other. Also, once under its own section, I kinda threw the alphabetical order for the characters out the window. Basically it's the most notable characters up at the top, and bad guys listed after the good guys when applicable (you know, some characters can work either way and all that).
Oh, and I totally forgot a couple names yesterday, but after watching The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Sarah Conner and Cameron Phillips really should be on the list. I went ahead and listed them with the Terminators, assuming they'd be approved as additions. If not, they can easily be taken off.
And seeing as how I've only ever seen the original Stargate film, my "order" for those characters may be kinda out of whack.

Also, should we classify the Serenity characters as Serenity characters, Firefly characters, or Firefly/Serenity characters? Because I think of Firefly first.

No Name is on the list as "Joe". Though, yeah, he should be listed as the Dollars trilogy, rather than just one of the movies. And Sanjuro's already on there as well. Haven't seen No Country yet, but I've been meaning to.
And I guess it could be Firefly/Serenity, but both Malcolm and River get full credit for the all of it, anyways, despite it only saying Serenity.

I'm going to try to think of anyone that is missing, because there is always a nagging buzz in the back of my head that there is, but otherwise this thing looks great. Some great pre-game discussion we've had so far. Locations shouldn't be too difficult to pick. I'll see if I can think of any interesting ones.
