I hate myself...I thought I'd posted my thoughts like a week ago. Apparently didn't. Sorry, guys.
Serge and Cruz.
If Cruz was prepped, Testament'd be gone. Nice match without it, but Cruz'd still walk away in the end.

Samaosuke Akechi (Onimusha) vs. Tartarus (Halo)
Chump.
Winner: Samanosuke
Marluxia (Kingdom Hearts) *forfeit* vs. Delta Squad (Republic Commando)
Winner: Delta Squad
Luca Blight (Suikoden) vs. Zack Fair (FF: Crisis Core)
Both are extremely skilled, but Zack is just way, way faster and more agile. Very fun match, but no way Zack loses.
Winner: Zack
Emperor Barbarossa (Suikoden) vs. The Arbiter (Halo)
I might've possibly considered Arbiter here with some prep. He's done without it, though.
Winner: Barbarossa
Neclord (Suikoden) *prepared* vs. Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat)
Might as well be a forfeit.
Winner: Neclord
Gandrayda (Metroid) *prepared* vs. Chris Lightfellow (Suikoden)
I could see Gan shifting into something small and inconspicuous with her prep and waiting until Chris lets her gaurd down or somethimng. And then when that happens, turning into something pretty nasty and ending the battle quickly. Not saying that something like that is necessary. She could almost certainly do without the whole sneakiness angle, but that just seems like it'd present the least amount of risk to her. I'm sure she could also just start the fight as Samus straight-up and then take Chris out after a mehkay fight, but the True Water Rune could potentially be a danger to her, even as Samus, so ending it as quick and clean as possible seems the best option to me.
Winner: Gandrayda

That second match is quite the doozy, but I don't see Dagger losing. I think I like all of the prepared summoners (including Seymour - or especially Seymour) against any unprepared character in this draft. Obviously the top tier guys, like Xemnas, can make it close, but I think the prep allows for too much customization, not to mention the most powerful summons all ready to go.
All the others are easy. Poop draw for Foxhound. What's Mantis going to do against an android? Booo.

Admittedly I haven't played FF IX, so I'm not sure about Dagger's Eidolons (sp?). But if they're anything like Yuna's Aeons, she should be able to give Xemnas all he can handle and more. Summons are generally very powerful and variable, and she would be able to choose the best match for Xemnsas' attacks/speed. I do think that's the difference here.

I think Xemnas would definitely win it, although it'd be close. Then again, I thought Vergil would win against Eiko...
Dagger should be toast if Xemnas gets in close with his lightsabers. And while others may go "But that's what the freakin' huge eidolons are for," I respond with Xemnas' doppleganger ability. Neither Dagger nor the eidolon she'd summon will be able to tell the difference, and by the time the doppleganger is discovered it'll be too late.

Surprisingly, it looks like most (Dante, KOS-MOS, Xemnas, Kratos, Ryu Hayabusa, Dagger, and Zidane) of these twelve combatants were selected in the first three rounds. So it's weird that only one of these matches seems particularly close.
So yeah. Unless JK knows something I don't, Dante > Zidane.

To the best of my recollection the dopplegangers don't last all that long. They appear and then disappear, so as long as the eidolon or Dagger keeps their eye on the real Xemnas, that shouldn't be a problem. Plus, the dopplegangers do not have the same kind of durability that Xemnas has, so the eidolon shouldn't have too much difficulty dispatching them.
The lightsabers do concern me, but I think that whatever eidolon is summoned would be able to act as a decent defense against it, and then you have the healing ability of Dagger to factor in, too. She can keep this fight going for a while, which is much to Xemnas' disadvantage.

None of these are terribly difficult to me, although I am probably going to be disagreed with on one.
Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden) vs. Rikku (FF X)
Ryu is very impressive to me. He may or may not be as fast as Riku...oh, that's with two k's...and X...yikes.
Ryu
Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts) vs. Dagger (FF IX) *prepared*
Yeah, this one. Indeed, summons are powerful things, but I believe that Xemnas is way too fast, and powerful enough to beat one, or just get around to beating her. He definitely lasts long enough, and has enough strategy to be able to pull it out. I like him, and Sora, an awful lot.
Xemnas
Foxhound (Metal Gear) *prepared* vs. KOS-MOS (Xenosaga)
Foxhound is...not good enough. Tough draw.
MOS
Dante (Devil May Cry) vs. Zidane Tribal (FF IX)
Dante is yummy.
Xigbar (Kingdom Hearts) vs. Mega Man (Mega Man series)
A good range fight, and I think the blue bomber puts up a nice fight, but Xigbar has the speed to take it, although it probably takes him a little bit, and there is the possibility of him getting rocked, but I like his speed.
Xigbar
Kratos (God of War) vs. Geddoe (Suikoden) *prepared*[/b]
I like Kratos' magical resistance here, and his superior physical abilities. Should be a real knock around, but I think Kratos can outlast.
Kratos
