Grahf = KOS-MOS
T-elos => Samus
Galcian => Shion (Individually it isn't all that close, but she can bring some useful tech to the rest of her team)
Ramirez = Eiko (Both bring healing and excellent offense, albeit through very different methods)
Shadow >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Zack
Seifer => Tir (Yes? While both can beef up on items with prep, Seifer is just more powerful)
Luca = Raziel
Nobunaga = Roxas
Sol > Shadow
Foxhound > Wu
Cobras <= Jubei (Can he go Oni with prep?)
Los Illuminados = Vivi
Alexia < Dawn of Dreams
Margulis < Serge
Everything seems fairly equal individually I guess. Lots of small advantages near the top for my squad, compared to slightly larger advantages for him at the bottom. But we can say that advantages at the top are more important that advantages at the bottom.
To preface this, I'm going to assume both Ramirez and Galcian can heal. Something tells me I might be wrong, and it might only be Ram, but I'll hope for the best case scenario because it's my only hope.
I think the tag-teaming offense/defense duo of Gal/Ram will play a very deciding factor in this one. I would think their defenses against physical and magical damage would be a good deal higher than that of Eiko's, and while she does have her summons to help protect her, I personally don't think it compares to my duo of heavy hitters/heavy healers. Under the direction and leadership of The Seeker of Power, one of them will always be healing while the other fights side by side, protecting the healer and throwing in some offense of their own.
So I think this match is going to boil down to which healer(s) die(s) first. That should be the gameplan for either team, to go after the opposition's healer, and get them out of the picture ASAP.
Of course, another question is who can bring healing items. I know Shadow has his heal cannon, and Seifer can probably bring some items of his own. Not sure about the Suikoden fellas, so that's up in the air. His team has a bunch too, the FF guys, Shion and KOS-MOS perhaps? If they can, that means Margulis probably can too. So yeah, items wise, support is pretty even.
Which means that in overall healing, my squad seems to have the advantage. Now, why am I focusing so much on healing as opposed to power or cohesion? Well, power seems pretty even as I already went over, and cohesion is in his favor, so I'm hoping if I don't talk about it too much, the judges will forget about it. They're pretty easily manipulated that way.
And that wraps it up. Bart put together a hell of a cohesive and powerful squad here, and I won't be surprised at a loss to him in teams. It's actually the exact same situation as what just went down in comics. I thought I had a great chance to beat him in individuals, but it just didn't work out. And then I go into teams without the highest of expectations.
Still look forward to reading judgments of course, even if the results may seem rather predictable.

Well, I originally only offered a couple of general points, and let the argument take me where things went. In any case, I can give more details, if you need them. I won't go through everybody (as far as I can tell, the talents and feats of guys like Dante and Alucard are already pretty well-recognized, but if you need me to go over them I can), but there's a few people on my list who haven't really gotten argued for yet.
A Realian and Her Bodyguards makes a helluva team, between Ziggy's durability, MOMO's support, and Jr's additional firepower. Individually, none of these three qualifies as the most powerful Xenosaga character (but then again, Xenosaga characters are some of the most powerful out there), but combined, they make a very, very effective fighting team. Which brings me to another point: cohesion. Now, JK tried to use the cohesion argument for his side, and I must admit that he has a cohesive team. But I believe my team has the cohesion advantage. Looking at his list, it's obvious that he made a point to select a handful of pairs (Soki + Jacques Blanc, Solid Snake + Gray Fox, Gordon Freeman + Dog). But I don't think any of these pairs are overwhelmingly effective; Soki and Jacques are from different games, and each of the other duos suffers from having a member who isn't all that necessary (Snake and Dog). On my side, I've made a point to have more substantial teams: Alucard + Trevor Belmont + Sypha Belnades + Grant DaNasty, MOMO + Ziggy + Jr, Crono + Frog + Robo, Leon Kennedy + Chris Redfield + Jill Valentine. Now I realize I'm breaking down my team picks, but I think that's fair, as these are separate characters. But all said, I've got three teams of three and one team of four. And my teams are often pretty meaningful. I mean, look at Zidane. He's typically operating with a couple companions. In a draft, he's going to lack the party that he would otherwise benefit from. On my side, I've made a point to construct a couple of legit parties that would typically work in conjunction with each other. Because I believe MOMO, Ziggy, and Jr benefit strongly from being together. I believe Crono benefits quite a bit from having Frog and Robo there beside him.
The next name on my list that I haven't yet discussed is Emperor Barbarossa. I don't have too much to say on him, but he turns into a giant three-headed fire-breathing dragon. Which is very nice for an eighth round pick.
Again, Jaina Proudmoore is excellent for these team rounds. One of her specialty spells is blizzard, which is designed to operate against a group of enemies. Again, she's one of the most powerful magic-users in all of Azeroth. One ability I didn't get to mention before - Counterspell (which prevents a magic-user from casting a spell) - might come in especially handy in this match. Beside all that, she's also one of the foremost tacticians on the draft board, on par with Thrall in terms of strategic ability.
Well, that's all I have time for right now. But hopefully that puts a fresh perspective on some areas that haven't really been explored yet.

Ahhhh, much better.
Not really for my benefit, as I've already taken almost all of that into account (as well as a bunch of stuff JK failed to bring up), but I ain't the only judge here. I just need to get a solid chunk of time today to type everything up.
And yeah, I know other stuff was mentioned. But just plasmids in general (with a focus on Enrage especially) seemed to be hogging up the debate. And it's just that there's so much more going on in that fight.

Sorry for the continued delays, but my roommate's been doing some pretty hardcore job searching these past few days, but his computer started acting up, so I've been letting him use mine. And he's probably going to need it here again in a few minutes. I'll judge when I can.

Well, apparently it's a crime in some countries for one of the other judges to post a judgment before Shadow.

These are probably not going to be the greatest judgements. I guess that I can at least get the ball rolling though.
Kings of the Underworld - Xemnas, Vergil, Kain, Arthas, Umbrella, Yuber, Marluxia, Larxene, Luc, Akuma, Axel, Big Boss, Demyx and Lexaeus vs. Tupac's Team in '94 - Cloud Strife, Sora, Dagger, Ratchet, Richter Belmont, Strago Magus, Riku, Delta Squad, Celes Chere, Emeralda Kasim, Yuffie Kisaragi, Simon Belmont, Knuckles and Jowy Atreides
Well, I like the power on both sides. A lot of serious damage can be done for both teams. There's just something that screams latent cohesion on Tupac's side. I don't know. It just looks like a real team. They're all just really agreeable and easily fall in line. Still, is that enough to combat a seriously powerful team? I mean, these guys are oozing with it. Cohesion is not so fantastic, but give me a break. Top to bottom it's just really something.
Does Tupac have enough in terms of prep? The kings suffer from a lack of anything impressive in that area, as far as bringing in items and the like. Cohesion and prep go to Tupac, but I have to say that power goes to Kings. Is that enough? Would that power advantage suffer against a superior strategy and support game? I think yes, because it's not so overwhlmingly powerful. As far as team battles go, I don't really think Tupac loses many, and the Kings just barely fall short here.
Manson's Real Reality - Grahf, T-elos, Galcian, Ramirez, Shadow the Hedgehog, Seifer Almasy, Luca Blight, Nobunaga Oda, Sol Badguy, Foxhound, The Cobras, Los Illuminados, Alexia Ashford and Margulis vs. Richard Kopelle and His Therapy Buddys - KOS-MOS, Samus Aran, Shion Uzuki, Eiko Carol, Zack Fair, Tir McDohl, Raziel, Roxas, Shadow, Wu the Lotus Blossom, Jubei Yagyu, Vivi Ornitier, Dawn of Dreams and Serge
I am of the opinion that MOS is better than Grahf. Slightly, and maybe it's only my opinion. I am also of the opinion that her team has more depth. Having Shion on the same team may be a bit of a problem. And with T-elos on the other side, she might know to exploit that. If KOS-MOS gets distracted by that, it might be trouble. Would that lose them the whole battle? I doubt just that would. I like the presence of the black and white mages for Kopelle, something that the other team does not have. It's a lot of fighters, and not much else. Ramirez helps out a bit, but that is all. Again, against an inferior team, Manson is one of those that just might bowl over people, but against Kopelle I don't think that happens, as they at least rival overall power, and their team mechanics are much nicer.
Richard Kopelle
ColecoVision Conference
Dante! and Friends - Dante, Alucard, Yuna, A Realian and Her Bodygaurds, Jack, Crowley, Crono, Emperor Barbarossa, A Frog and a... Robot?, Esthar's Finest, Jaina Proudmoore, S.T.A.R.S., Cursers of Dracula and Link (OoT/MM) vs. Wokka Wokka Wokka - Soki, Fei Fong Wong, Zidane Tribal, Solid Snake, Grey Fox, Terra Branford, The Nameless One *mage*, Ike, JC Denton, Gordon Freeman, Dog, Jacques Blanc, Riou and The Arbiter
I am just voting for Dante here.
I kid. Actually, I think this one is very close. JK's top two are amazing. There's a lot of power on that team, but also some holes in power. Overall it's solid though. It's pretty tight in every category. Good support, some good connections, and pretty good power. So which team falls off in one, if any of these categories? I just can't see it. So, if I can't find a huge discrepancy in things like that, I tend to judge based on team dynamics. There seems to be more teamwork in favor of the former team, but more strategic type planning on the latter. Wokka has the minds to exploit weaknesses, while Dante has the teamwork and support structure to be able to take some damage. It's very tight, but I have to go with Wokka's higher end power, and slightly better team planning.
I'm probably overlooking several things, but that's too bad.

EmpireForever posted: more strategic type planning on [Wokka]. Wokka has the minds to exploit weaknesses
*cough*Jaina*coughcough*Proudmoore*cough*
Seriously though, from where I'm sitting, my team seems to have a definite strategic edge over Wokka. I mean, JK's team has Ike and Riou, but they're the only two strategic minds that really stick out (again, I'm not familiar with all of these characters, so I might've missed some). But I don't think they have a definite edge over my team's strategists - and I'd like to take a moment (for the third or fourth time) to point out that in the draft stage, I switched out Esthar's Finest for Hugo (from Suikoden III). And between Hugo and Jaina, I think my team's got strategy at least on par with Wokka. Jaina is one of the top strategists in the draft; she is, after all, one of a handful of characters to have come from a strategy game. She commanded the Alliance expedition into Kalimdor, and was one of the top commanders in the Battle of Mount Hyjal, an event which determined the fate of the entire world. And she's now considered the preeminent leader in all the Alliance (one of the two superpowers in the Warcraft world). Besides Thrall, she's possibly the best strategist/commander in the entire draft. And quite frankly, I can't see any figures on JK's team that are anywhere near her level.

Wokka has the minds to exploit weakness. You have one.
Quite alot of my team, constantly are having to find weakness within the enemy and are good at it. Yes you may have 1 better strategist, but you could go down with the best laid plan and it go to pieces. MY team has the ability to think on the spot, and adapt to the current battle circumstances. That is something your team does not.
