Up until recently, I only considered the movies cannon.
I'd like to read what happens between IV,V and VI.
I think I've been missing out.

if only the movies were canon, i wouldn't be a star wars fan. i'd just be a normal guy that thinks those SW movie are pretty good flicks. the whole reason i'm a SW fan is because the story goes on in games, books and comics. that's what makes the whole thing more than just a sci-fi film series.

The films are the absolute top of hte canon list. Those are GL's words, not the words of a different writer. There are so many holes within the EU that it's hard to call it canon.

Couldnt agree more. I think the EU is just silly anymore, some of these cool, and unique ideas are beyond ludicrous and escapes reality, even for a sci-fi.

I like aspects of the EU. I don't like the NJO books

BUT... I think the idea is cool and when I think Star Wars the Solo kids, and Mara come to mind... so they're Canon to me

Although I like the EU so far, I voted that only the films are cannon. Only reason is that I think the integrity of the saga would be too confused with all the EU stuff in there.
