My favorite is also The Godfather Part II, a wonderful film. Unfortunately, it's the only film in the saga I've seen, so I imagine I'd enjoy it even more after seeing the others.
BTW, when you vote for Apocalypse Now, please specify if you prefer the original version or the 2001 Apocalypse Now Redux cut.

I voted for The Godfather, but that doesn't mean I'm not a huge admirer of The Godfather Part II, The Conversation, or both versions of Appocalypse Now; I also like the flawed Godfather Part III. Although I like Part II very much, I still like the first movie the most. Part II may be more complex, but I still feel Part I is more fluid; Marlon Brando is also amazing in the film, every little move by him is like sweet music. Furthermore, because of Part I, I basically fell in love with Michael, to see him so cruelly evil in Part II is heartbreaking.
I personally prefer Appocalypse Now Redux, but I recognize the original cut as the superior. It's definitly a more relentless and single-minded movie in comparison to Redux. Redux has some additional great scenes on its own, but some scenes simply come too late in the game; it becomes slightly distracting.

The Godfather was good, but it wasn't my type of movie. Thereforce, Apocalypse Now.

The first Godfather. I won the trilogy on DVD, and waited watching them till I had read the Puzo book, and it was AMAZING! II is a close second, but in my mind the Godfather is one of the best, most faithful book-to-screen adaptations I've ever seen. Let's hope LOTR does as well.

I have to say that it is The Godfather I. I love that movie. A close second would be part II. But how can you top The Godfather? All the killings during the baptism is classic. And the horse's head!

What a cruel, cruel poll! There are so many choices here that I would love to pick, but would regret forever.
Um... I'm going to choose Apocalypse Now (Original version), but not necesarrily because it's better than the rest. It's just what appeals to me the most right now.
The Godfather movies are truly excellent, but because I always watch the first two back to back, It's hard for me to seperate them in my head to pick a favourite. I also enjoy the third, but usually a few days later.
Dracula is visually breathtaking, but it drags in places, and the acting is a mixed bag. Still, I've seen it about a dozen times, so that has to count for something.
As far as the two versions of Apocalypse Now go, I chose the original only after much hesitation. I actually liked Redux better in almost every way. It flowed better, looked better, and the story was clearer and yet more horrific. But there is one, single added scene that almost spoiled the movie for me. The French plantation scene takes forever, goes nowhere, might even be "just a dream", and features the worst, worst music I've ever heard! It sounded like a temp-track for a soap-opera, for goodness sakes! Still, the good outweighs the bad by quite a bit... just not enough to overtake the original.

Well, although I enjoyed The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, and Apocalyse Now a great deal, I always wondered why there was such a fuss about Francis Ford Coppola, as every interview you read with either George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, or Martin Scorsese, they all say how great he was, but as gangster and war films don't really appeal to me, I never saw it myself. That is until I saw The Conversation, which knocked me for six. It's such a fantastic, brilliant film, with great, intense performances. But the odd thing is that hardly anyone I know has heard of it, and also it's very hard to get on video. Anyone know why?

Tucker was good, Dracula was okay, Godfather was great...but they all pale in comparison to Apocalypse Now.

The Rainmaker! Easily Matt Damon's best dramatic role and Coppola's best non-mob related movie. Well, It kinda had the mob, but it was all assumed. Well, You know.
