I play far, far too much World of Warcraft. L70s on Staghelm: Hopefire (Paladin), Silverbow (Hunter), Shadowhope (Rogue), Silverfire (Mage)

It's a pretty good novelzation. It may have been better if I was more into the prequel stuff than I am.
On a scale of 1-10 I give it about 8

I actually enjoyed the novel and didn't really have a problem with Salvatore. I don't think anyone can truly describe the Obi Wan/Jango fight or the the Yoda/Dooku lightsaber battle in words. It's just something that we're all gonna have to watch in awe.

I thought it was a pretty good novelization. I've read it twice already, so R. A. Salvatore can't be all that bad.

I don't particularly like R.A. Salvatore. I skimmed the book and found that it seemed really...simple? I dunno how to explain it...I just got the feeling like: "Is this the kid's novelization?"

There were a lot of cool events, but the writing failed to inspire in me any of that "OH!!!" feeling. The book simply failed to capture either my attention or my caring particularly.

It wasn't exactly the most complex and deep novel around, but it was brilliant nonetheless. Of course, I was really hyped up for AotC when I read it, so perhaps the fact that I WAS READING THE STORY TO AOTC clouded my judgement.
