Is Cherry Coke its own unique product or is it just Coca-Cola with cherry added to it.

Cherry Coke is not it's own unique product. Cherry Coke started out as Coke with cherry syrup added to it.

Cherry Coke is an abomination to the cola world. *attacks it with my bansaber* oops, wrong site. My bansaber doesn't work here.
Someone at Coke~a~Cola added cherry flavored suryp to regular Coke and they marketed it. At least it went over better than the New Coke did. I'm glad that one did get the bansaber.

I have to say that it is Coke with Cherry flavoring. I think the Roy Rogers Drink came out first, and its popularity may have spawned the drink. For those that don't know, a Roy Rogers is Coke with Grenadine added, and a cherry for garnish. In fact, according to Wikipedia, Cherry Coke is classified as Cherry flavored Cola.
BTW, I am also from Tucson.

It's a Coke brand product. But it does not taste like the flagship company's product. Hence, it is it's own product and not just coke with cherry flavor. IMHO.
Maybe cherry soda with a coke chaser?
