2nd ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY AND MCADENVILLE LIGHTING EXPEDITION! SAT, DECEMBER 15TH

It's time to mark your calendars for TK-2970 and Jada's 2nd Annual Chirstmas/Holiday Party on Saturday, December 15th! 
This year we will meet at the clock at the bottom of Main Street in McAdenville to go see the McAdenville Christmas Lights! at 5:30pm. (I'll try to post a picture of the clock. Parking is very easy.]
After walking thru McAdenville we'll go back to our place for dinner, play games and of course the White Elephant Gift Exchange!
This will be a "one man's junk is another man's treasure". Christmas season is expensive enough so I don't want to put a financial burden on anyone.
So, how does it work? Find something in your home that you don't want. Guidelines:
- It can't be broken
- It can't be dirty [physically and . . .
 ]
- It can't be alive [i.e. a goldfish ] . . . or dead [i.e. a goldfish ]. . . unless it is a stuffed Taun Taun and then it has to be destinked

It should be worth at least $5 and no more than $20 . . . unless you really do want to get rid of a duplicate item such as oh, an Imperial Star Destoryer
- It does NOT have to be a Star Wars related item
Rules of the Exchange:
- To participate you must bring a gift
- All the gifts must be wrapped or in an enveloped. You can wrap it in a gift bag
- The number of gifts will be counted. Once the final number is determined each person participating will have a chance to pick a number from a hat.
- Gifts will be chosen in numerical order
- Once a gift is opened it can be stolen by the next person who goes. Meaning, if person #1 opens a gift person #2 thru X can steal it during their turn.
- At the end of the exchange, Person #1 gets the final "steal". They have their choice of whatever gift is out there.

Dinner -
This year TK-2970 and I will make a main dish for dinner. Something like baked spaghetti. We'll ask folks to bring a loaf of bread or drinks or cookies to share. TK-2970 will also make a cheesecake.
Also, since we have limited seating, if you have a chair please bring it.

Yeah, I'll make at least one or maybe two cheesecakes. I might also bake some cookies and I'll be making some white hot chocolate like I did last year.

Hmmm, Chaunukah is the Festival of Lights and McAdenville is the town of lights . . . 
I'm not sure what is involved in Chaunukah. According to the calendar I looked at it starts on December 4th which means it should end on December 12th if my calculations are correct.

Official Update
On Saturday please plan to be in McAdenville parked well before 5:30pm and at the clock tower at 5:30pm. If you aren't parked before 5:30pm you'll have to snail pace through the traffic. We drove past the other night and it was already backup at 5:45pm.
If it is raining on Saturday we will drive thru McAdenville.
We will meet up at the Food Lion Parking Lot in Cramerton.
To get there:
1) Take I-85 to exit 22 - Cramerton Main Street. If you are heading
SOUTH make a left off the exit. If you are heading NORTH make a
right off the exit.
2) Go to Wilkinson Blvd and make a LEFT at the light. Go will go
about 1 1/2 miles.
3) At the Market Street light you will see a Burger King and a gas
station. Make a right. Food Lion is ahead on the left. Meet in the
parking lot near the Cash Points ATM.
Please meet by 5:30pm. This is only if it is raining.
If you have a question about what we will be doing, please PM me for a phone number to reach us.
I will have directions from McAdenville to our house for both scenarios.
