ok, it has been rumored, it not openly stated before,
that I am kinda good at killing off a thread,
be that as it may, here I go again, trying to keep the
INDRODUCTIONS THREAD alive by being hopeful that
somewhere in the last 2-months, since I last posted here,
that someone new just might be kinda sorta visiting
these boards.
If not, then it would not surprise me if some one
decided that they needed to re-introduce themselves
because_______(pick a reason:-)
as for me,
still me, but older and more crotchety that ever,
with a touch of curmudgenliness,
that get's in my way at the most seemingly inapporpriate of times.
There, now that that is out of my system, I feel much better,
now, if only someone will start a HAPPY HOLIDAYS threads,
while many see Hoth outside there windows at this time,
perhaps some Holiday cheer can be spread to warm us up.
for example, I think December 06, is St. Nicholas Day

Whew, I'm glad you didn't shut this thing down.
Hello there. I'm new. I've been a fan of SW for-e-verrrrrr and have been hooked on the Hyperspace blogs for a good while now, but thought I'd give the message boards a go. I'm a 21 year old music school jazz cat and will graduate in the Spring, thank the Maker. (If anyone was at AMC River East for ROTS at midnight back in the day, I was the one in the ceremonial Leia costume eating ridiculous amounts of Darth Mix M&Ms...)

I am new, but not really as I am not in Illinois yet. lol
My name is Jason, and as you can see I am the Chapter Rep for the Tidewater Area of Virginia. Alittle bit about me.
As I already stated, my name is Jason. I am married with 3 children, and one more on the way in September. I am currently in the United States Navy, but in the near future I will be getting out and moving back towards where my wifes family is, which is the Chicago area.
I like to costume and make props. Props that I have made are jedi/sith communicators, sith holoprojectors, lightsaber energy/crystal cores, and things like that. I am currently working on the MOM (Magic of myth) version of the ROTJ Boba Fett costume. You can see pictures of my progress HERE. I also have a non-canon Sith Lord costume.
I like EU, Collecting, and making websites, logos, ect. I hope to get to know you all and see you once I move.

Welcome to Chicago. We hope to have some May events posted soon. We do have a picnic scheduled for July. Family members who can contain their disgust for SW are welcome too.

Well, I'm not really a newbie. In fact, I'm a member of MEPA from NYC, but that's because I joined while I was at NYU. I've lived in Illinois all my life, about three hours south of Chicago, and I'm moving to the city in a couple of weeks to start law school.
My Star Wars interests are novels (I'm so behind on my reading), costuming (my labor of love being Padme's blue robe and nightgown from AOTC), and as you can see from my snazzy colors, fanfic. 
My non-SW interests are...yeah, just about everything. So far I've spent the summer expanding my culinary skills and teaching myself basic auto repair. I like knowing how my car works.
Oh, and my name is Anu. I should've said that at the beginning.
Also, I have vague memories of parading into a corner of Alcatraz Brewery at C3 and saying hi to you all because you were from Chicago, but I didn't think to get names. D'oh!
