For me, this is actually more like a reintroduction. I used to post regularly on this board back in '03 (at the height of the Peaches/Sithman Wars), and even attended a couple official functions. I fell off the CF wagon for a while, with only a handful of posts over the next year or so. But after a recent move to South Dakota (bright center...farthest from...etc.), I started jonesing for all things Star Wars again, and decided to check out the ol' gang.
As geographic distance appears to be no obstacle for the likes of DarthAstuart and Bosh_Talk, I decided to reenter the fray.
So greetings to former friends and acquaintances, and hello to the new faces.

welcome back to the boards,
ref distance problem.....well, for me....only with other galaxies at this time:-)
ref Bosh Talk and Darth Astuart........they left?
ref South Dakota....very cool place,
In the early 70-s, I made several trips out there to help map and explore
Wind Cave South Dakota.....Last time I was there
(the mid 80-s),
The offical cave map that was posted had a crawlway named after me,
..........there is also a pit with my name in a way,
am unsure how it looks on the original map-logs,
but I remember it as PEEK-IN PIT, with Pekin being my last name.
anyway,
Bosh probly knows,
everyone who ever use to be in the area
and
where they are now

Hey all, Ive been around for a while just trolling the boards, so I though Id finally introduce myself. Im an avid SW fan, I live in downtown Chicago. In my spare time I build luxoen powered lightsabers, and I also do some costuming. I attended C3 and C4 and had a blast. Ive never really gotten involved in any local events, though I did attend Wizard world con last year. I like to read and I am currently enjoying the Legacy of the Force series. Thats about it for me, so Hi everyone.

Welcome to our little group.
Since you are into the Legacy of the Force series (I like your sig), I highly recommend coming to a book club discussion. We are doing the new Death Star book before the holiday party, but we pick up the Legacy series at our January meeting (4th Saturday of the month) with the 4th book. We will stick with Legacy until its conclusion, discussing the ninth and final book at the end of June.

I have a little update. I did finally find a job. I am an Assistant Manager for Oberweis Dairy at their Bloomingdale location. Anyone in the area is welcome to stop by and say hi even though I cannot give you free ice cream.

I work in Glendale Heights so I may have to get my milkshakes there, because my milkshakes bring all the boys to my yard. And damn right, they're better than yours.

as I read this I just saw Oberweis....I am 2 miles from the Arlington Heights one
and go by it at least once a week.

Been a fan since: I slept in my jammies on the ride home from the theater in '77.
ANH was my first theater experience, ~ age 4.
Member of FanForce since: '06 ish, I guess
I'm into the philosophy of the force and the GFFA, and have tried my hand at fan fiction and filmmaking. I'm working on at least 3 short-films right now, in various roles from acting, to production, to VFX and foley.

well, been about 5-months,
and it seems like an ok time to bump this thread back to the top,
