	MEETING MINUTES April 1, 2006 Dan’s House Bridgeport WV 7:00pm Those in attendance: Dan Ithorian Fettish Mike *MEETING CALLED TO ORDER* 1. Discussed the Pittsburgh Comicon (4/21 – 4/23) and the Regional Fanforce Awards Banquet (4/22). There will also be a FanForce “pre-party” Friday evening, April 21st, beginning at 8pm at Grazie Restaurant. Further details will be posted on the message boards. It is uncertain exactly how many of us plan on attending these events. Ithorian is definitely going for the entire 3 days, Fettish may go for Saturday afternoon/evening. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to post their intentions on the boards. 2. Please note that the Outlanders’ Haven website is still down due to technical difficulties. This problem will be rectified once issues regarding the server are sorted out. 3. Jedicon WV will be taking place again this year, on July 15th from 10 to 6pm in Paden City WV. We need to decide if Outlanders’ Haven wishes to have a table at the event. Fettish and Ithorian agreed that a table is a good possibility, and both would be willing to work said table. Opinions on having a table v.s. just attending the event are to be posted on the message boards. If we have a table do we want to do a raffle? Have a trivia contest? Suggestions are encouraged. 4. Again, the idea of starting up an RPG was mentioned. Is this something that we all would be interested in doing? Ithorian has offered to be the game master (moderator) if enough people wish to start said RPG. Fetish is interested in giving it a whirl. Ideas are to be posted on the boards. 5. The idea of a “Summer Picnic/Outdoor Meeting” was brought up. Cooper’s Rock was suggested as a location because of the free use of picnic tables and grills throughout the park. A “Summer Picnic” would entail members contributing various food items for the enjoyment of all. Opinions are encouraged on the boards. Do we want to start a planning thread for this and other similar outdoor activities this summer? 6. The COSI in Columbus OH is featuring the traveling “Where Science Meets Imagination” Star Wars exhibit from June through August of this summer. Interested parties may obtain more information on the message boards. 7. It was suggested that Outlanders’ Haven might consider participating in several community and/or charity related events in the coming months. Ideas included the Relay For Life, Adopt A Highway, and the MS 150 Bike Ride. It was noted that not only would participating in such events benefit the local community, but also generate a bit of publicity for our club.
