Technically, the appearance of Naboo in Star Wars galaxy is classified as "Expanded Universe" and not necessarily the classic trilogy. Maybe it will still be there, maybe it won't. But we won't know for sure until 2005.

So do you mean, that things that have been in PT but are not mentioned in OT are not canon? Example: Plo Kloon and Ki-adiMundi (or whatever) are in PT, but we don't see them in OT, so they are not canon, just like Naboo. I'm twisting words? Yes, but so do you.

He's saying the Video Games are not cannon, Lucas has been known to go agaisnt them AND EU, so both are unreliable... Only a quote from Lucus, or an EGM report will be accepted... Besides, I don't want proof...I rather enjoy the debates on wether Naboo is Dagobah or not...

LOL....Blackout, yes, it is speculation. I only used it so I could shrink Wookies in to Ewoks since GL originally wanted Wookies.
BTW..it is actually 2003.....

Naboo isn't even mentioned in the Classic Trilogy.
not exactly true. C-3PO says 'naboo' when telling the tale to the ewoks. Not being able to speak that language one can only speculate but never-the-less, he said 'naboo'.

Actually, it doesn't sound like C3PO says "Naboo". It sounds more like "Nah-goo" and that would make it a coincidence. I doubt George even invented it at the time of ROTJ.

I think that's a fairly safe bet.

it's a coincidence or a cute in joke.
3po had his mind wiped so he'll not remember naboo.

3PO says "Naboo"?
I always thought he said "Apu"--as in the convenience store clerk on THE SIMPSONS.
Didn't know why. Maybe he's the Ice Cream Man's retail outlet? Or does he study the ancient art of "Light-slushie fighting"?

Hmmm. Seems that a few folks think that Threepio is not saying a homonym of "Naboo." It appears that we need a Star Wars expert who has a copy of the Ep6 script. Or, do the OT VHS tapes have subtitles that can be activated?
Can anybody clear this up right quick?

The captions on the films are done by a third party, so they often don't know any better than we do what a line was really supposed to say.
