I've always wished the beginnings of ESB and ROTJ were switched back when they made the scripts... Carrie Fisher looked hottest in ESB, so that's where the bikini scene shoulda been. tongue

The funny thing is that they used tape (you know where...) in the first film to make it more kid-friendly, and then they showed her in a bikini for the third film.

Carrie had (allegedly) some , uh, drug problems during ROTJ.

I'm guessing if she didn't dabble in the stuff (assuming it's true), she would've looked even more beautiful. I also thought she looked better in ESB.

Carrie Fisher's drug problems are no secret.
i think they started around ESB (which is why she looks a bit distant in some scenes, i imagine) and i think by ROTJ the effects had begun to take their toll.
her semi-autobiographical novel, Postcards From The Edge, deals with her substance addiction, and is recommended.

That wasn't why they used tape. When making ANH, Lucas apparently thought women in space shouldn't wear bras. Carrie Fisher mentioned it in a documentary. As further evidence, um... watch the trash compactor scene carefully. tongue
