Carrie said in some interview or other that the wardrobe person had a hard time making sure the bikini would stay in place. It kept slipping and distracting the cast and crew. I recall coming across a pic of Luke and Leia, about to make their swing off Jabba's barge, and the expression on Luke's face kind of makes it look like he's thinking, "Wow, did her breast just slip out?" (It's close.) In actuality, of course, he's just trying to concentrate on getting the rope swing right.
Carrie said in her "Newsweek" article that came out shortly before TPM was released that the actor who played Boba Fett stood behind her when she wore the bikini, and "he could see all the way to Florida." I bet he was the happiest guy on the set.
If I was a guy or a lesbian, I'd definitely drool over Leia in that bikini. Some people say Padme would look better in it. I don't agree. IMO Padme has the prettier face (although I think both women are beautiful) but Leia has the better figure.

I disagree. I think Carrie has a great figure and is beautiful, but Natalie is a little more beautiful and has a better figure.

Yeah, Shelley, I remember Fisher saying she was pretty embarressed about the outfit most of the time. On the sail barge, the breast pieces kept almost falling off.

I'm not surprised. The bikini looks like it's held together with paper clips. Carrie is also a bit too busty for the breast plates to, uh, contain her very easily, especially during action scenes.

I've always been bothered by Natalie's figure, actually. She looks too emaciated to be convincing in action scenes. I cringe whenever I see her bony upper arm in the scene at the end of TPM. Carrie looks much better in RotJ.

I tend to agree with you Lady Mara. NP is very thin but she has great abs (if one is into that sort of thing) which, I'm sure is why GL so conveniently took advantage of that with her torn costume. I think she looks more "exotic" than Carrie. But what do I know- I'm just a lesbian trapped in a man's body
sorry old joke. What always attracted me the most was Carrie's wit & intelligence. And if I was Boba Fett I would be making frequent flights down to Florida myself.
I'm sure Salacious Crumb enjoyed himself as well...
