	Does it say anywhere in the novels or elsewhere that Obi-Wan even kept Qui-Gon's lightsaber? I had assumed that it was incinerated with Qui-Gon at the funeral pyre. 	Obi-Wan kept Qui-Gon's saber for a few years after TPM, until he made himself a new one. 	He created the crystal himself? Where'd you get that from? I was under the impression that the crystal was the key element, hard to find, rare, and all. Lightsaber crystals can either be created synthetically by hand (as Bib Fortuna has pointed out), or obtained/harvested from natural sources. The prime sources of these are known as Adegan, or Ilum, Crystals, grown within special grottos on the planet Ilum for such purposes. The Jedi had long maintained such sites for padawans seeking to attune themselves to the Force in the construction of their 'sabers, and Anakin Skywalker constructed the lightsaber that we saw in Attack of the Clones there during his fourth year of Jedi training. -----signature----- Tighter Than a 10-Year-Old.

	One inconcistency in ROTJ is when Vader hands over Luke's lightsaber to the emperor. The emperor says something like "ah the weapon of a jedi. Much like your father's." Why would the emperor say "much like your father's" when it's obvious that it was built in the likeness off Obi Wan's? Also, I thought only Sith used synthetic crystals. I thought Jedi used natural crystals and Sith forged their crystals using the hatred in their hearts. Am I wrong in this?
