Sure. A good post is an innocuous one. A bad post is one that starts fights or takes shots at the other side.
I guess I don't see how that's less objective than, say, deciding if a person's post was meant to be an insult or not.

I'm too lazy to read the entire thread. Do I understand it that arguing canon outside of official canon arguing threads (if any exist) is a bannable offense now, officially?

Not that I plan to get a strike (
) but if I get one, would I be informed by PMs as well as the topic I post it in? (Just in case I post something inflammatory and ignore the thread from then on?)

It will be in the thread. The only personal notification you will receive will be a purist-virus that
DLM
uploads to your computer. The mouth of a sarlacc will appear as a screensaver, and you will be swallowed up by your monitor, never to be seen again (even if you are wearing body armor and carrying a cache of heavy weaponry.
)
BTW, that's just the
first
strike.

RE: The Three Strike Policy
So, does both Dark Lady Mara and Errant_Venture decide on who gets a strike; or can just Mara give a strike? Also, is there anyway to find out how many strikes you have? I think it's a bad idea for this not to be readily avaiable information? .

RE: The Three Strike Policy
As Mods, they
both
decide independently. Considering you get
three
strikes, you
should
be able to keep track. Otherwise, a simple PM will answer your question...
..assuming, of course, you don't learn your lesson after the first strike.
"I think it's a bad idea for this not to be readily avaiable information?"
This assumption is not one you need to worry about.

In the Timothy Zahn 'The Force Dot Net' novels, that take place sixty years after the original web site - when a new force dot net is set up on some Atari machines by the Cockroach humanoids of Andarhiss-Five, it explicitly states there never was a 'Three Strike Policy'.
They claim that the Canon wars were not fought over the canon of the Star Wars universe, but on the colonised moon of Ca'Non by the cyborgian troops of Gwillemer - last surviving man on earth after the Putin-Bush nuclear conflict of 2006 - and Harnon Ardestro, the mandroid created from the dna and computer chips found in what was left of the force.net admin/mods office.
Harnon Ardestro, as Zahn wrote, spoke of no Three Strikes policy. He even speaks of an age of peace and harmony on the site as he sets up his new mods training temple on the planet Elohssa. This is totally, therefore, going against the EU of the force.net universe.
