	Fantastic trailers, guys! Excuse my ignorance (I'm a newbie), but do you know if there is an official Lucasfilms policy on creating trailers, etc. My understanding is that there is pretty little flexibility under copyright law for fan work... Most of it just exists becuase it's bad PR to sue your biggest fans... I've heard rumors that GL has set some parameters, but has it been set down in writing anywhere? Sorry to get off topic on what's been some awesome work, but these questions are stuff I'm interested in.

	"Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi -- Trailer Script" by -DARKSEID- The concept behind this trailer is to make "the audience" believe Luke will suffer the same fate as Anakin and take the easy path into darkness. By doing this we show many shady/dark side moments from 'Jedi' that happen to Luke (Threats to Jabba, Force choke on Gamorreans, etc.)... Also, as Obi Anne said earlier, Han's fate should be either ignored or lead you to believe that perhaps he may not be freed in this film (which means the credits can't be shown at the end of the trailer). So following these ideas, here's how I think a fan-made 'Jedi' trailer should play out: MPAA NOTICE 20th CENTURY FOX LOGO LUCASFILM LTD. LOGO BLACK... Distant laser fire from a space battle can be heard. Distant noises of the lightsaber duel in Attack of the Clones... YODA (V.O.) Fear is the path to the dark side... A familliar mechanical breathing noise... Over this, the Imperial March slowly fades in... it is quite quiet, but still audible. FADE IN: INT. JEDI COUNCIL CHAMBER (EPISODE I) Anakin stands before the Council, looking at Mace after being told he's too old. INT. CARBON FREEZE CHAMBER -- SLOW MOTION (EPISODE V) Luke stands, the tip of Vader's lightsaber is inches from his face. YODA (V.O.) Fear... INT. CELL -- CLOUD CITY -- SLOW MOTION (EPISODE V) Han punches Lando. YODA ... leads to anger. INT. TENT -- TUSKEN CAMP (EPISODE II) Anakin looks up toward camera, eyes narrowed. YODA (V.O.) Anger leads to hate... ANAKIN (EPISODE III TEASER) Turning, eyes glowing. YODA (V.O.) Hate... INT. CLOUD CITY FREEZING CHAMBER (EPISODE V) The carbonite Han slams down. YODA (V.O.) ... leads to suffering. FADE TO: CLOSE-UP: VADER (EPISODE IV) Vader aboard the Tantive IV. The menacing breathing. The Imperial March... YODA (V.O.) I sense much fear in you... [The Force Theme] EXT. SPACE Vader's Shuttle lowers from the Star Destroyer. EXT. ENDOR (SLOW MOTION) Luke on the forrest floor, igniting his lightsaber. EXT. ENDOR (SLOW MOTION) Leia removes her helmet. INT. DEATH STAR Vader and Sidious walk together. INT. REBEL STARSHIP (SLOW MOTION) Lando in his 'General Calrissian' garb. EXT. TATOOINE -- ROAD TO JABBA'S PALACE (SLOW MOTION) Threepio and Artoo walk down the path -- the Palace is visible in the distance. INT. JABBA'S PALACE (SLOW MOTION) Boba Fett nods in respect to "The Bounty Hunter" (Leia). INT. JABBA'S PALACE Leia in her bounty hunter disguise stands with Chewbacca. INT. JABBA'S PALACE (SLOW MOTION) The Carbonite Slab of Han is stuck to the wall... FADE TO BLACK... LUKE (V.O.) Jabba, this is your last chance... free us or die. [High-paced music kicks in. Maybe the main Star Wars theme] EXT. ENDOR The Speeder bikes take off. EXT. SPACE The Falcon weaves between starships. INT. DEATH STAR Sidious' throne turns. EXT. ENDOR -- SPEEDER CHASE The Speeder bikes weave between the trees. INT. DEATH STAR II The Falcon flies into the shaft, followed by TIE's. EXT. ENDOR An AT-ST fires at Ewoks. EXT. SKIFF -- TATTOINE Luke catches his lightsaber handle and ignites it, causing the warm green blade to shoot out. He slices at some of Jabba's men. EXT. SARLAAC PIT One of Jabba's henchmen falls into the Sarlaac Pit/Beak. EXT. ENDOR A Speeder bike fires. Luke deflects the shots. INT. JABBA'S PALACE Luke approaches... the two Gammorreans block his way with their axes. He performs a force choke on one, forcing it back. EXT. DAGOBAH Luke's X-Wing sits quietly. INT. JABBA'S PALACE -- THRONE ROOM Luke steps forward, removing his hood. LUKE You will bring Captain Solo and the Wookie to me! Jabba laughs menacingly... INT. YODA'S HUT Yoda turns to face Luke. INT. COCKPIT -- X-WING WEDGE Lock x-foils in attack position. EXT. SPACE BATTLE X-Wings vs. TIE fighters. INT. REACTOR -- DEATH STAR II The Falcon and Wedge's X-Wing fly in toward the reactor, firing at it. INT. DEATH STAR II -- THRONE ROOM Sidious moves down his stairs shooting out sith lightning... EXT. SPACE The Death Star shoots out it's super-laser destroying a Rebel Starship. SMASH CUT TO: A green TITLE against BLACK appears... STAR WARS ----- E P I S O D E V I ----------------- RETURN OF THE JEDI SIDIOUS (V.O.) Now... strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the darkside will be complete. FADE IN: INT. DEATH STAR THRONE ROOM (SLOW MOTION) The lightsaber flies from the arm of Sidious' throne into Luke's hand. He ignites it, bringing the saber down. SMASH CUT TO: TITLE: "The Saga Concludes May 19, 2014." [The Emperor's evil cackle is heard over this] -------------------- So if anyone wants to give it ago, feel free.

	As for the legality of trailers.... I think the creators of Park Wars had that problem. They used the audio of the first five minutes or so from TPM and then had to do something different before it got illegal. I think a certain amount, which such trailers and FanFilms don't exceed, is not only tolerated by LFL, but also legal, as far as I know (!), if nobody makes money through them. If somebody want to know more, or more precise, I'm sure the guys in the FanFilms forum can answer this better (or maybe Adam is reading this thread). -----signature----- We do what we must Because we can For the good of all of us Except the ones who are dead

	Yo, Darth Seid.... that is an awesome idea for the teaser fan made trailer for Episode VI, but I think the sub-title at the end should be Revenge of the Jedi, not Return of the Jedi. However, yes, it is logical that the trailer would be Return of the Jedi due to the fact that Jedi don't take revenge, but it looks like look is in the trailer itself, and since it's just a teaser, let's say, like history has had, that his current title for Episode IV is Revenge of the Jedi... and the Return of the Jedi sub-title can be found in the theatretical trailer fan-made one I guess, if there will be one.

	That's an interesting idea about using "Revenge of the Jedi" - but the problem is, if they'd been made in the order I-II-III-IV-V-VI, III would already have been called Revenge of the Sith, so George probably wouldn't have considered using "revenge" in the title again.

	Perhaps we can say that before he came to the final decision of calling Episode III Revenge of the Sith, he debated whether he'd use Revenge in the Episode VI title instead - but ultimately he decided that idea wouldn't work, so he kept Revenge in the Episode III title?

	Well, regarding the website, I think if we decide on an overal graphic design the site can be built in no time. Then it'll be actually working, instead of just a bunch of ideas that we're throwing around. So, with that in mind. How should we do it? Should it be kinda like the OS where it has the roman numerals for the next 3? That way as more "spy reports" come in for the films we can slowly update the info on each movie's page?
