ESB:DVD Edition - Yoda Line change?
I watched ESB on DVD last night, i have the special edition on Video, but have no VCR at the moment so i cant check - i'm sure one of you can / will know the answer :
Basically, when Luke is in training in the Forest and Yoda is on his back, near the end of the run Yoda speaks about the dark side,
he says in the DVD version "...the dark side...like Obi-Wans apprentice.."
Luke turns his head to Yoda and says "...Vader.."
i'm pretty sure that Yoda never said 'Obi-Wans apprentice' in the "original" version..
was this added?

I'm pretty sure it was always like that. I have a question though. Was Yoda's line "Feel like what?" deleted in the DVD? Every time I watch the ESB dvd it goes "I feel like, like we're being watched!"

I HAD THAT SAME THOUGH! wow spooky!!!!
I wasnt sure myself though, as i said i have the VCR version of ESB but not seen in a while, it seemed different to me!
perhaps the new audio mix is to blame!
i think i may search the net to find out if anyone has a typed script of theatrical edition of ESB - long shot but it may just work!

Hey, I've got a question about this bit of the film:
When they'e talking about the cave I can hear an eerie whisper of "Death!" - can anyone else hear that or are my ears deceiving me and it's actually a background noise.
No-one else I know has ever mentioned this. It's really freaky (and timely) and I've noticed it since I was a kid - back in the day!

That line was always there.
And yes, Luke whispers "death", the line is:
"Something's not right here...I feel cold...death..."

Yes that's it 2ndrest! If that's a line out of the screenplay I'll just have to accept it. Never ocurred to me that Luke said it and hearing it again it still sounds odd. Doesn't help the camera's on Yoda when you hear it and also Yoda speaks unnaturally quickly after - almost like Leia's: "Don't just stand there, try and brace it with something" (not really waiting for your line were you, love)...
It's like:
Luke: "I feel ... cold"
(Creepy Ghosty: *whispers* "DEATH!-!")
Yoda: "Then you must go...."
Gives me the right willies...

THose lines were in the original version, but are more audible and easier to hear in the Special Edition.

Yeah, the line's in the script:
LUKE: There's something not right here.
Yoda sits on a large root, poking his Gimer Stick into the dirt.
LUKE: I feel cold, death.
YODA: That place..
