	The only real changes I really really want to see, is all the ships CGI. Can you imagine the Death star trench run in CGI? All the star destroyers CGI....that would really be something to see!

	It is difficult for me to think about changes for TPM & AOTC because I'm not as familiar with those films. Only changes I can think of is some of the stuff already mentioned such as..... CGI the puppet Yoda in TPM. That puppet is just awful. Add in Dooku to the funeral scene @ the end of TPM. -----signature----- You just watch yourself. I'm a wanted man... 	Some of these changes are excessive. And Lucas has the ability to change these films how he wants. Let him do it, I'm sure it will be worth it. 	In the ESB SE, showing Vader traveling from Cloud City to his Star Destroyer in my estimation was excessive and pointless. Why did we need to see this happen. And worst of all, why change what he said in the original, "Bring my shuttle"!! And then change it to that lame statement, "Tell my Star Destroyer, prepare for my arrival"! I like the original so much better, because you got the feel that Vader was extremely pissed in Luke possibly getting away. By the way, for AOTC, if they actually had longer footage of Mace versus Jango in the arena, I would liek to see that added back in. But for me, I think that should have been Obi-Wan's kill, instead of Mace because of what was setup in the first part of the film with the tension and fight between them on Kamino. 	Exactly. He's getting older. Why would he want to be burdened with the OT for the rest of his life? That's what doesn't make sense. You would think he would want to move onto other things, leaving the OT safely behind him. You make it sound like GL hates the OT. Burdened? The only thing he's burdened with is complaining fans. He wants his vision fulfilled. Not just "good enough." Otherwise, there would have been no SE. He wants to die with his Saga complete the way he wants it. And why would it take the rest of his life to make the changes and additions suggested here? The only reason that SE wasn't the final version was because he had not yet made the PT. The reason the DVD release isn't the final is because it was rushed, and he was simultaneously working on ROTS, which is arguably one of the most important chapters in the Star Wars Saga. Why is it that we can't have a civil thread about what would be cool to add/change to the OT without starting a flame war!? Everyone knows the Purists positions and opinions and respect them. But as I said in the first post, this thread is not reccomended for Purists unless they have ideas, or can make input without negating the entire purpose of this thread. -----signature----- Oh no my friend! Yeah, that's probably the reason why they changed the line. The exterior shot of Vader going to the shuttle was a SE-addition, therefore the "bring my shuttle" line didn't fit anymore. Personally, I don't have problems with the line. The only addition I don't like is Vader arriving on the Executor, only because of the clumsy musical editing and because it hurts the flow of that great escape sequence. (IMO)

	Ok many people have asked me how in the world the Jedi ghost could even remotly work with Mace, Qui-Gonn ect. This would require some reshooting and a few different angles. First after the celebrations cut to a force ghost Anakin, then show the others, and have anakin hug Qui-Gonn, Mace, Yoda?, then have him turn and face OBI and they look at each other intently and the OBI Smiles and gives him a hug, then they all turn around and look at Luke, (The whole time Luke is watching them, and he can be like hmm, dads old friends). It would really be a very good ending. The way i have envisioned it really sends chills down my spine. EDIT: You have to do something with Alec though. Have his face superinposed or use existing footage. I dunno. But it can work and would rock if it worked like that.

	As far as changes go, for the most part I think NEW scenese are a bad idea. Extended or imrpoved scenes however are fine. As far as the whole urinating on the original creators thing I think that's a bunch of bs. I mean come on, as if the original theatrical runs of all three movies and the orignial vhs runs wearn't enough credit? Geeze if Lucas thinks they look like crap and wants them changed to better match his vision with newer technology more power to him. I personally agree with Lucas, I think the Ships, Yoda, Sabres, ATAT's, etc, all look like crap by today's standards. If you can't see that you havn't seen LOTR or any of the prequels. The cgi looks better PERIOD. Sure you get some nostalgia out of the models and puppets but to honestly say that they look better is rediculous. Any way as far as changes go I think they should cgi all sabres, space ships, and basically all aliens in the saga. I don't want any NEW scences as that would have an effect on the story (new dialouge basically), but I would like the ANH Obi/Vader duel redone if it can. ESB and ROTJ duels are all pretty good other than the whole swinging at the sabre 5 times in a row to get to a hand deal. Other than that I'm good.
