Merlin_Ambrosius69 posted:Yes, I tend to think Owen was projecting backwards on what Anakin should have done before they even met each other, which was to have stayed by Shmi's mother's side like a good son. By extension, if Anakin had not gone off to become a Jedi, when he got older and the Lars family came into their lives, Anakin would have been around to a) protect Shmi from the Tuskens, so she would never likely have been captured at all; and to b) help Owen on the farm and so make his life easier. That was the source of Owen's grudge against Anakin.
