In Return of the Jedi, The final dual with Luke and Vader. But it's my favorite right when Vader is watching Palpatine throw lightning at Luke, and Vader's trying to decide what to do. Finally he picks up Palpatine and throws him down the shaft. That is one of my all time favorite parts in the saga, and the music is just perfect along with it.

1) Yoda and the x-wing in ESB
2) Luke and the binary sunset
3) Vader's funeral in ROTJ
4) ROTJ when Luke is staring at the ghosts and Leia pulls him
back to the party
5) After Luke blows up the Death Star and Obi's ghost says,
"Remember, the Force will be with you. Always". This scene
made me sadder about Obi-Wan death than his actual death.

The Throne Room

Ben telling Luke about the force and Leia's hologram message.

ESB:
The music over Luke and Han on Hoth "Be careful".
Yoda talking to Luke "Size matters not".

ROTJ:
Yoda's death
The brother and sister talk on endor (some music from ESB)
Luke and Vader fight
music after the Emperor is thrown down the shaft.
Funeral pyre and fireworks.

I've got two.

- ROTJ: Vader's funeral pyre on Endor

- ROTJ: The last part of the Luke vs Vader duel with that haunting sounding music

Most moving music: The sadness of the funeral pyre transitioning to the victory fly-by for the final celebration. That was the high point of the entire saga to me. It doesn't exist any more, of course ... except on VHS.

What do you mean it's only on vhs? The dvd has it.

You got that right.

Haunting indeed, just perfection.

The Throne room scene in ANH

Leia's theme during the Han carbon freeze

Vader's funeral pyre

My favorites from each movie.

I like all of the music, but one scene gets me music-wise every time I watch ESB - it's the final scenes where Luke & Leia are on the medical ship watching the Falcon leave and the fleet goes off into space.

Agreed!

Takes me back to being a 10 yr old in '80, seeing ESB for the first time. When that iris-out to credits hits, it was like a punch in the gut. NO!!!! You can't end NOW!!!

The Special Edition version of the victory celebration in ROTJ. Triumphant and noble, but sad. Very fitting due to the heroism and tragedy of the entire saga.

From ANH, the scene where Luke returns to his home to find it destroyed.

I have to say Yoda's explanation of the force up to and including the levitation of Luke's X-Wing out of the swamp in TESB.

In ROTJ, the fanfare during the funeral pyre.

When Luke walks out of the his home and looks up at the moons. It's a normal scene but William's score playing over it is amazing and makes me love the scene.

Here is my favorite music from the original Star Wars movies.

ANH:
-Chasm Crossfire;
When Han, Leia, Chewie, and Luke
were fighting Imperial stormtroopers
on board the first Death Star.
-The Battle of Yavin
-The Throne Room;
It sounds great
-Here They Come/
Tie Fighter Attack;
This track has an
epic and heroic feel
to it. It makes the
tie fighter battle
interesting.

ESB:
-The Battle of Hoth
-Beneath the AT-AT;
The music that plays
when Luke crash lands
near an AT-AT.
-Escape from Bespin;
The music that plays
when our heroes leave
Cloud City in the Millenium Falcon.
-Han and Leia's Theme;
It sounds romantic.
It worked well for the
kissing scene in the movie.
-The Asteroid Field;
It starts out slow
and becomes fast-paced,
later on. It has a slighty
epic, fun, and classical feel.

ROTJ:
-The Battle of Endor;
The music that plays when
the rebel fleet reaches Endor.
-Emperor's Death;
It is a very suspenseful piece.
-The Forest Battle;
It sounds fun, opera-like,
heroic, and a little bit suspenseful.
-The Ewok Parade;
It is a very happy-go-lucky tune.
