Luke. It was tough between he and Han though. But this is for the classic trilogy timeframe only, if I factor in the EU, it would probably be Han.

R2. I mean has there ever been a character like this, like ever before? He is smart,cute and a robot! Robot with a personality and what a brave little robot he is! You never know what it is that he is saying but at the same time you know excacly what's going on in his head. He shows emotions with "bleebs and dwoobs"...come one... This is one character that is incredibly well written and acted. It's not an easy thing thing to pull off, but they did. I mean we as audience identify with a cylinder and feel for him. That's good writing and directing. An Amazing character. SO R2 all the way.

My favorite character from the classic trilogy is definitely Han Solo, though Grand Moff Tarkin is a favorite also. I like any character who make a difference without the direct aid of the force. Be it good or evil.

Akbar is the one .... when the REBELLION needed a true leader ... he stepped up and finished the 6 movie epic in grandiose style. Akbar is probably the true hero of Star Wars along with Luke Skywalker.
