You people think of George Lucas as if he's a god, that no one can do better than him. sure, he created the movies which are the backbone of the Star Wars Saga. EU takes on from there - with George's permission - and expands on this wonderful saga. As Bib said, EU corrects itself when necessary, just like Lucas, who has the habit of contradicting himself, too. So why must you hate EU so much?

Fett's dead. End of argument.
What EU says is irrelevant. Just because Lucas didn't make it 100% crystsl clear that Fett died in ROTJ, it doesn't mean that Fett is still alive. The only reason EU brought him back is because they had to draw his fanbase in to sell the Dark Empire comics, in which he reappeared.
It's also likely that his role in the prequels makes him a character who absolutely has to die in ROTJ.

the books are good but gl is better. if gl decides that bobba is dead then let it be so i think its hard to go about when people are writing these books because these people have all these ideas that gl might not agree with or clash with some of gl's ideas. bobba is a great character and i think of him still alive unless gl does anything that will make this not so.

I would also like to know when exactly do the movies contradict themselves? Just because LucasFilm LTD. may approve the stories in the EU doesn't mean Lucas himself does. I read an interview with a SW producer and when asked about Boba Fett's origin, he said ''forget everything you ever read about Boba Fett.'' That right there proves that the EU means nothing and what GL writes is gospel.

You mean George himself reads over for continuity/signs for every single Star Wars novel??? Riiiiiiiiiiight....
