I think an Ewok is too intelligent to be someone's pet.
They have their own society, they're hunters and warriors and most of all, they make cool
hanggliders. I don't know how practical a hangglider is in a forest, but, hey, at least Uncle
George thought it would look cool.

The hanggliders are also good in the open areas of endor as shown in one of the Ewoks films.

This came from a dude that was obviously VERY bored at the time. As for the original question... never in my life would I own an Ewok. They are an intelligent species and deserve better recognition than as furry short creatures that throw spears.

Yes. But I would shave it. A shaved Ewok would be a kick-arse pet. I'd also have its claws removed.
