The only beef I have with this scene is that Luke seems to get over his gried for Ben rather quickly

I love Han's face when he says "Don't get cocky!". Great editing work in this scene.

Yeah I guess thats true, but when you're thrown into a situation of great peril, you tend to be in defense mode. The scene wouldn't have worked if he was picking off tie fighters while whiping his tears.

This was always my favorite duel as a kid. Alas, now ESB Vader vs Luke is my favorite OT duel.

But I do have a new appreciate for it now that I'm older, it's quite a tense and epic scene.

Great scene, surprised it wasn't higher.. but I guess thats partly because of how its split up.

This is good, but the scenes afterwards are better.

I remember having that comm that came out for Episode I, where the characters came with a chip that you'd scan and it would restate 3 or 4 quotes.

The amount of times I've played with it, I will always have the quote "Ben? Ben Kenobi? Boy, am I glad to see you!" imprinted in my mind.

A great scene, you hear so much talk about Ben and when you finally see him you realize he really is just an old hermit, but a smart one at that.

I think this scene is better in retrospect than first viewing: the entrance of the Jedi in the CT and the beginning of Luke's path down that road.

OFT. ANH (especially the Tatooine scenes) is the most improved by the Prequels, IMO.

And still, a lot of comes down to Guiness's preformance. One reason I've never bought the whole Obi-Wan doesn't recognize R2 thing is just in the way he looks at R2 and interacts with him, in my mind, I can see recognition.

I'm surprised. I didn't expect this to be this high.

Is it sad that I know almost exactly when you will post the update?

Obi-Wan is Sammy Jankus.
