True. I think ole Palpy was afraid that if Anakin his replacement parts cloned, his days would be numbered. That's why I think he didn't let Anakin in soul transfer trick.

I dunno Im not a doctor but artificial limbs just seem a little less risky then cloned organs.
If only we had a cloning Organs expert doctor from the GFFA to resolve our issues.

As long the clone organs are grown from the recipient's dna, there is very little chance of organ rejection. That is why when someone needs a organ transplant, they usually try to check the relatives to see if there is a good match, in the hopes of lessening organ rejection and all the nastiness that comes with it.

rumsmuggler, that is exactly what I was trying to say. Look, the GFFA at the time of ROTS clearly has the ability to clone entire people, so, if you can clone entire people, why wouldn't you be able to clone an arm or leg, and then graft it back onto the original host's body? It seems like if you can do one, then the other should be a relative piece of cake. The body shouldn't reject it, because biologically, its you...a mechanical leg or arm meanwhile, isn't you, and will always have a chance at being rejected.
emporergerner, you want a clone doctor? Watch AOTC. The Kaminoans are expert cloners, and would easily have the capability to graft on a cloned limb. It stands to reason that if you can build the entire clone, reproducing in exact detail the entire biological process, you can also build individually cloned parts.

Yeah I guess there is no reson the organ should biologically be rejected by the body.
But thats not what I'm really saying. What I'm saying is that a cloned organ would be fine. What I'm saying is that at Anakins weakened state right after mustafar that he might not be able to take the surgery or whatever to give him the cloned organs. But then again if they gave him the suit right away. Then waited. Then yes cloned organs would be a great possibility.
But could they clone a badly burned and damaged lung.

Any genetic sample from Vader will do. They don't need a lung cell sample to clone him new lungs.

I think the reason why cloning may not work is because it needs a host to live on. You can't clone one part without cloning everything with it and it still would take too much time about 10 years before the limbs would be fully grown.

In the Gffa, they can clone organs without cloning the entire person, and it won't take ten years either. They can probably grow limbs in the same fashion.

I'll bet they have techniques for growing bone as well. Their medical/cloning tech is eons beyond what we have here on earth.

Well Palpatine was most likely keeping Vader weak and Vader was too far distraught to even try and regain his former self, even if it did mean he'd be stronger.

I wouldn't be surprised one way or the other. Vader was still stronger than any of the darksiders that Palps kept around..

Maybe Sidiuos perposly put Vader in the suit.
Remember it was a medical emergecy. He was slowly dying, yes I know he was screaming the entire time. Putting him in the suit was the best choice at the time.
Besides cloned organs and body parts would propbably have to be replaced as they would age faster than the rest of the body.
I would guess that Vader was pretty much back on his feet after the surgery. If Sidous had organs and body parts cloned for Vader it would take time for the organs to grow then time for him to recover. And he couldn't make Vader so tall.

Vader did work his mechanical magic on his suit and upgraded it over the years.

He needed the suit to breath didnt he. I have never really thought about it, i think it makes sense to put him in the suit after what he had been through.
Would have been weird to see a fully intact Anakin the way we remembered him in Rots in ANH I doubt that would work very well.
Although i dont doubt that Palpatine wanted to weaken Anakin when he had the chance..
