That's canon? Then again Mara was a cold blooded Sith at sweet sixteen in the game, which I doubt no matter how eerily competent she is.

My understanding is that Boba really only worked for the Empire in ESB. When you look at Empire at War, pre ANH, it's indicated that he wasn't employed by them (despite him being on their side), just that he was hunting down Han.
Are you including any private work he did, or could have done for Vader in that?

What is Boba when you get right down to it? A rank and file trooper? Or a snake eater loyal to the highest bidder? Lately they've been playing the honorable Mandalorian card for all it's worth but certainly the stories suggest that he can work for the Empire (Jedi killer, chasing their bounties) just as easily as against them, as evidenced by one graphic novel where he clashed with Vader and odds are if Jabba the Hutt and the Emperor wanted each other dead Boba would side with whoever had the credits.
Though one story alone is not enough to suggest problems with the Empire, who hasn't had issues with Vader? About the only one I can think of is Piett.

I agree, because then the troopers would be more diverse than what Boba would have remembered.
