Darth_Nub posted:I always thought the original was awful, putting a rock band in the Star Wars galaxy never worked (the cantina band was an alien version of an old fashioned jazz combo & worked because it was kind of old-fashioned), but the SE version proved that you can always make something even worse. Greedo firing first aside, it probably reprsented the whole SE trilogy's low point. It was like watching a Japanese variety show with a teenybopper band doing a cover of a hard rock anthem in Japanese. The music was dreadful, the performers were just lame, & the bit where Sy does that 'uh-oh' when Oola falls into the pit was just pathetic. Belonged in a bad sitcom where everyone's trying to be 'sassy' & just come across as idiots.

Darth_Unicorn posted:The only part that didn't bother me was that they replaced Anakin. The original Anakin is the grossest person ever. The main reason is just because I love Darth Vader and would rather remember him as a handsome person than a gross, charred, pale-skinned, old man. But I understand why it bothers people. All of the other changes bother me.
