	They're just trying to survive like any other creature. And they're native to Tatooine unlike, say, humans. So why sadistically target them from your T-16 skyhopper? Does that make you feel like a man, Luke? Shooting at some animal that can't shoot back? Jeez, your old man got hung up on a much older chic when he was 10 and never got over it and here you are torturing animals. And you mouth kissed your own sister! You remember your sister, don't you Luke? She's the heartless bigot who refers to Wookies as walking carpets. Man, you Skywalkers are one messed up family!

	I'm willing to bet womp rats were a menace to the citizens of Tatooine. Perhaps they were venomous or very aggressive. 	Yeah, I think it was messed up that Luke killed Wamp rats for target practice. He could've hunted them for food instead of just killing them for no good reason. Living out in the wild, eating natural, organic foodstuffs, their meat may have been real tasty. Did the Sand People eat Wamp rats? Maybe Uncle George had something against rats and that's why he put that in the script. You know, because if we believe Luke can navigate a fast-moving flying machine through a canyon and hit small, innocent critters, then we have to believe it's plausible for him to fly the Death Star trench and hit a small exhaust port also. In Jabba's Palace there are rats in the dungeons where Chewie and Han were held captive. Are these baby Wamp rats? If so, then how much of a nuisance could they be if allowed to live in those dungeons? Did Jabba's employees raise Wamp rats for food and a few of them got loose? Perhaps in the briefing room, before the Battle Of Yavin, Luke was just trying to brag about what a good shot he was by telling that other pilot that he use to "bullseye Wamp rats back home. They're not much bigger than three meters". He was probably trying to make a point, but didn't really kill Wamp rats. Isn't a 9 to 10-foot long rat basically a bear anyway? It could've been a whole flock of Wamp rats what killed that Krayt dragon whose skeleton C-3PO was near to on the Dune Sea.

	Not to derail this joke thread by being serious for a moment, but if womp rats are disease-carrying vermin whose very existence threatens the health and well-being of the residents of Tatooine, then Luke is fully justified in killing them for sport.
