	is it racist at all that the only african-american guy in the origional trilogy is the traitor?

	Nope. Lando's original choice is a noble one from a certain perspective. He's responsible for everyone who lives on Cloud City and as Baron-Administrator he has to put their needs first. He's not happy about having to sacrifice Han, but he thought that one man being frozen was less important than an entire city being destroyed. Of course, once Lando realizes that Vader is going to keep altering the deal, he realizes that what's best for Cloud City is to tell the citizenry what's happening (as that gives them a chance to escape before the Empire's iron fist closes around the city) and try to save Leia, Chewbacca, and hopefully Han. -----signature----- "Imaginary is the future. 	I basically agree with what's been said. Lando wasn't a traitor, he was doing the best thing for his city. He only appears to be a traitor because what he does puts the heroes into danger, but you need to look deeper than the black/white outlook of the Star Wars Saga. There are shades of gray in the Star Wars films, and this is one of them. On the one hand, he put our heroes into danger, and nearly cost two of them (Luke and Han) their lives. On the other hand, however, he did everything to make sure the however many citizens of Cloud City were safe and not under Imperial rule. If so, is it because the movie had failed to make it clear that Lando did not have much of a choice in choosing between Han's well being and the citizens of Bespin? And if so, I can understand. If not . . . did you expect him to sacrifice the citizens of Bespin for Han's well being?
