	For the longest time I thought it was one of those B'omarr monk spider droids. After the door opens 3P0 walks in and sees one and starts running after R2. The monks themselves aren't actually droids but rather disembodied people who put their brains inside those bubble containers on the nose of the robots in order to gain another level of spirituality. The thing inside the door isn't a droid, it's a door answering device much like one's you see on normal houses and other buildings. God, would you listen to me?! I must be a certified geek knowing this stuff!
