	There were several attempts to gather the plans. Kyle Katarn got one set from an Imperial laboratory on Danuta. Bria Tharen's squadron also intercepted a set of plans at Toprawa. To see the full history of the Death Star's plans (and it is long), look it up on the Wookiee. -----signature----- Will do moose stuff for money. 	Yeah, the insane and still-ever-increasing amounts of hands the Death Star plans went through before reaching Leia is one of the most popular jokes among EU fans Didn't TFU's Secret Apprentice help, too? I boycotted TFU, but I seem to remember reading a mention sometimes. I've got to check out that wookiee-article. Speaking of oo-tee-dee posted: I think you might find your responses here. If posting links is against the rules, then I apologize to the moderators! We have very few limitations for linking and most of them are based on general rules anyway. Wookieepedia links especially are probably the most allowable. Even some of our mods are Wookieepedians. 	You know what I don't understand? Why the Empire first had the plans lying around at different places anyway? You think they would keep them on Coruscant or something, protected by High frequency computers only the Empire can access.

Need a lot of different people and facilities to design and build the components of a moon-sized station, and you'll want to make sure they all fit together properly on the construction end of things. Kyle's set of plans, for example, were mainly of the engineering schematics for the various surface weapons emplacements, but not the superlaser itself. Once they were combined with the data from Toprawa (and whatever other sources I can't be bothered to remember ), they had a "full" technical read-out of the entire station. -----signature----- "When your future self tells you to do something, YOU DO IT."
