Some of him fell into the Sarlacc Pit. Most of him remained in the charged hull
of the sail barge. Yet other parts and remains were scattered in a more or less circular pattern around the perimeter of the battle site.

Bonegnawers soon spotted the carnage and circled overhead and, one by one, the huge birds descended to their new feast. Other meat eating creatures, such as scurriers, woodoos and anoobas, could first hear, and then see, the bonegnawers and walked toward the area where these raptors were congregating.

They all did what scavengers, birds of prey, blood-suckers and predators do. After they had their fill and had left the area, meat-eating beetles and other insects cleaned all the nooks and cranies of the bones. The suns dessicated and bleached any skeletal remains that weren't buried in the sand. The pieces of flesh that were within the pit above the Sarlacc's mouth became something resembling jerkey and slowly slid into the Sarlacc's mouth. Some Sand People came later and took the bones to be ground into fertilizer.

Jawas were next in the recycling effort and carted off all the metal and other useful things that they could, to be sold for scrap at Watto's Junkyard.

The only reason Luke blew up the sail barge was to shut the £$&*(%@ band up.

it's really a shame that in an effort to kill Jabba, some harmless creatures bit the dust as well. especially rebo. he's so cuddly!!
