	Did you really have to go there? Girls carry lots of things in their purse. Make-up. Hand mirrors. Hairspray. Laser gun. Pins for holding bun-style hair-dos together. Gum. Candy. Lipstick. Republic credits. Her To Do List. Maybe she even had a small diary to record her thoughts about Han seeing as how they was fallin' in love, and all.

	She had aides and assistants ? Yes. Yes, indeed. But, they were just off camera on the Tantive IV, in another prison cell on the Death Star. After that they were just behind her around the corner out of sight on the Death Star after our heroes escaped the trash compactor. Additionally, these aides and assistance were in the cargo hold of the Millenium Falcon, in another area of the Rebel base during the Battle of Yavin, and then behind the scenes at the award ceremony. They must have been the ones who cleaned and polished C-3PO and R2-D2 to make them all shiny and sparkly for the ceremony and also were put in charge of the music production for the ceremony. It all makes sense now.
